Chia-Chun Chen ( MSc students) and Sara Halaoui, Ting-Yu Chao(March students) focus on International efforts to cut down emissions of greenhouse gases. The project is based on the analysis of the conflict between woodlands and peatlands in the UK context. By addressing the management and exploitation of both land uses at the national scale, Re-Peat aim at designing a land assessment tool that will address the conflict of the coexistence of woodlands and peatlands and tackle peat restoration in Scotland highlighting issues on land ownership patterns and structures, carbon taxes, community engagement/rights, and similar land policies.
