What a roller coaster of weather patterns we are having. From snow and teen temp weather one weekend to temperatures in the mid 70’s the next. “WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR STUFF?” Q: Why Did You Write the Book? My clients often come to see me when their parents have passed away without any prior decisions regarding their “stuff.” They are left to discard everything left behind such as contents of the home, jewelry, keepsakes, etc. and often strongly disagree on who gets what. These disagreements often fracture the family for life. My hope is that the book will encourage people to make decisions as to who gets what to help avoid family arguments and life-long estrangement. Q: How Do You Get Rid of Stuff? There are a number of ways to decide what valuables and collectibles are to remain with loved ones and what to discard. A simple journal to record

whom is to receive special articles is just one simple way. Help is available when there is a great deal of “stuff” such as organizers and move managers. The book delves into many different ways to get rid of everything from the simplest to the most complicated. Q: What are Life Choices? Do you have an up-to-date Power of Attorney for Healthcare? “Life choices” covers everything from Powers of Attorney to an Advance Health Directive so your wishes will be known when it is necessary for others to make decisions if one is incapacitated. It also applies to end-of-life decisions which so many choose to ignore, therefore allowing others to make decisions which may
or may not be in concert with what the elder would want at a very difficult and emotional time. Q: Do you address moving and downsizing? The book does address moving and downsizing and suggests questions to ask when one is thinking about moving to a new community. There are a number of aspects to moving, not only selling your present home, but where would be the best place to go, why that decision is so important and what to look for. What furniture do I take and what do I do with “stuff” I no longer need. To order Lois’ book or more information visit: www.whattodowithyourstuff.com

COMMON SKIN PRODUCT-RELATED QUESTIONS by Kellie Salter
When it comes to making the best skincare selections and achieving the best outcomes, you need to be armed with the best information. Continue reading to learn more about what Katy Rodan and Kathy Fields, the creators of Proactiv® Solutions and Rodan + Fields Dermatologists have to say about the most common questions they are hearing from patients. From their national best seller, Write Your Skin a Prescription for Change, they share their responses to common questions. Q: Aren’t all cleansers the same? Can’t
I just use any soap and then spend my money on other, more important, products? A. Your cleanser may be your most important product choice because cleansing is not generic. Matching your cleanser appropriately to your needs affects everything that happens afterward. Cleansers are not only meant to remove makeup, dirt, and grime but also should prepare your skin for the next step in your program. When looking for a cleanser, determine your most pressing skin care concern and find a cleanser to address that concern. As an example, if you have sensitive skin or are challenged with rosacea, psoriasis or eczema, look for a creamy, fragrance-free cleanser that does not leave your skin feeling dry and tight once you rinse it off. (RF Soothe Regimen) For more oily skin, a bubbly surfactant based cleanser will do a good job. If you are treating dullness and discolorations, exfoliation at least once a day as part of your routine will help to brighten skin and enable medications and active cosmetic ingredients to better penetrate. (RF Reverse) Many of us have been
lead to believe that we need a cleanser to foam up with lots of suds to effectively clean our skin. However, suds are not always necessary and are often times undesirable. The suds often times strip away too many lipids from our skin, as this causes disruption to the moisture barrier and leads to chronic low-grade inflammation that causes skin to look dull and more aged. Q. What happens when the wrong products are used together? Can I tell whether they are incompatible? A. Often times, when you purchase a product, you are not provided with information on how it will interact with other products being used. It’s actually what leads to creating sensitive skin issues, using different products, from different lines, that are not meant to work together as a whole. If everyone in the world with sensitive skin held hands they would circle the globe eight times. This can be the result of ingredients from different products counteracting each other. It further leads to not experiencing the intended benefits of either product. The order in which you use products is equally as important. One product may
create an environment on your skin that enhances penetration of subsequent product, while another may actually block products or ingredients from penetrating the skin. The general rule of thumb; after cleansing (and toning), use liquids and/or serums first, then gels, then lotions and then creams or balms. Simply go from the thinnest to the thickest. Rodan + Fields dermatologist have developed a suite of products that do just that, layering the right ingredients, in the right formulations and in the right order to provide you with the results you are looking for. THE HAIR WHISPERER: TODAY’S STATE-OF-THE-ART HAIR TRANSPLANTS
When we talk about beauty, the importance of beautiful hair cannot be overlooked. Lustrous locks can add so much to your personality, but with today’s active lifestyles, hair products, hair regimen and potentially damaging hair devices, is it a wonder why so many of us have problems with the overall health and condition of our hair? While, the hair generally grows one-halfinch each month, this rate depends on many factors such as genetics, overall health and how well a person takes care of their hair. When it comes to taking care of your hair, it starts with keeping the scalp and hair clean. This is the first step to improving and maintaining the health of your scalp. • Wash your hair: Regularly to remove all the dirt from pores on the scalp that

may clog them and in turn hold back hair. It is also not a good idea to wash your hair daily, because you will strip all the nutrients and natural oils that your hair needs to be healthy. Washing it every other day is much better. • Brush your hair: Brushing when done in a right manner has its own benefits. Brush your hair gently with a boar hair brush or other natural fiber brush as they are soft on your head and scalp. Never brush wet hair, as wet hair is too fragile for brushing and could cause breakage. Brush your hair starting at the scalp and moving to the ends. However, you should avoid excessive brushing. Limit your device use: Try not to put your hair under too much stress with the use of hair dryers, curling irons, and other hair tools that can damage and overprocess your hair and affect its growth negatively. There are several ways to promote healthy hair growth and one way is through stimulating your scalp by the process of rubbing or massaging the scalp with the intention of increasing blood flow to the area. This is actually an ancient practice that dates back 5,000 years. Stimulating the scalp is not only
beneficial for the hair follicle and root but is equally relaxing on the head and neck muscles. While this ancient method is beneficial, it should be complimented with today’s most advanced practice of using laser hair therapy. Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) that uses cool light lasers to stimulate the red blood cells. Lasers work by converting ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) to ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate), releasing energy and causing cellular metabolic changes. During this process, additional nutrients and oxygen are provided to the scalp assisting normal chemical processes performed by the cells, increasing overall blood circulation. Lasers, when applied to the scalp and hair, have been proven to improve overall hair quality, promote hair growth, and increase hair shaft diameter. When you pair the laser hair program with a pharmaceutical grade topical regimen that combines modern pharmaceutical science with traditional natural herbal medicines, it creates an effective program that both stimulates hair growth, and treats thinning hair, but also helps in the treatment of common
scalp disorders such as; Plaque Psoriasis of the scalp, Seborrhea & Seborrheic Dermatitis, which are 2-types of dandruff. It also should be noted that many experts in the field of hair loss recommend that (LLLT) works best when combined with Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minioxidil) . Recent studies have shown that Low Level Laser Therapy combined with a mediceutical program including monoxidil is very effective in helping with thinning hair, especially with women. So if you are looking to maintain that beautiful hair you already have or if you are experiencing hair loss or thinning, give the trusted experts at Hans Wiemann a call to set-up your FREE Hair & Scalp Analysis to help you maintain or get your beautiful hair back! Try new flavors Skip the salt and try salt-free seasonings such as herbs, spices, garlic, vinegar, black pepper or lemon juice. Make your own salt-free seasonings by combining herbs and spices. Read food labels Read the Nutrition Facts label and the ingredients list to find packaged and canned foods lower in sodium. Compare the amount of sodium listed and select the product with the lower amount. Look for foods labeled “low sodium,” “reduced sodium,” or “no salt added.” Use caution with condiments Foods like soy sauce, ketchup, pickles, olives, salad dressing and seasoning packets are high in sodium. Try low-sodium soy sauce and ketchup. Sprinkle only a small amount from a seasoning packet, not the entire amount. Allow your taste buds to adjust Like any change, it can take time for your taste buds to adapt to less salt. Foods lower in sodium may taste differently at first, but over time it’s possible to acquire a taste for foods with less salt. SPRING TRAINING 2016 THE CARDINALS ARE HEADED TO JUPITER!!!
SPRING TRAINING IS A HOME RUN!
It is hard to believe, but baseball season will be gearing up for the New Year! Our St. Louis Cardinals had a fun and exciting 2015 with playing in the playouffs and race for the World Series! Spring Training begins in March in beautiful Jupiter, Florida. It is an experience for any true baseball fan of any age! The St. Louis Cardinals play at Roger Dean Stadium, named after Roger H. Dean, proprietor of Roger Dean Automobiles – one of the first Mega Dealerships in Florida. The business has held the naming rights to the stadium since opening in 1998.
Roger Dean Stadium is simply my favorite Spring Training facility in the country. Not just because I am a Cardinal fan, more so because of location, seating, and size! The stadium only holds 6,871 people, which makes every seat in the park a “home run”. The intimate feel of this stadium surrounds you and team players are almost within reach! It is as if you are sitting at a high school/college sports event with the big leagues. The Roger Dean Stadium Complex is the only stadium in the country to host four minor league teams and host two major league teams – that being our Cardinals and the Miami Marlins. Not to worry though, Cardinal red takes over this venue by far and St. Louisans can be proud to call Jupiter the winter home of “Cardinal Nation”! Right before the stadium debut in 1998, I was privileged to take a tour of the construction site that would soon grace baseball fans from all over. I remember taking a bus out to a large sandy parcel of land with just a few trees here and there.
[see more Spring Training on Page 17]
I thought to myself, “what in the world are they thinking building this in no mans land”. But, this was truly a stadium being built with the mantra “if you build it… they will come” – and boy have they! Today, the stadium is surrounded with lush foliage and landscaping, parking facilities, restaurants, shops and a newly built hotel immediately across the drive from the stadium. In addition, Florida’s Atlantic University would grace the property next door within a few years after the stadium was completed. The new Alcoa neighborhood would rise with residential homes, apartments and condos making the stadium district active year-round. Jupiter and the West Palm Region also offer visitors many attractions from the beaches, boating and sightseeing. Here are few of our “must-see” attractions in addition to enjoying Spring Training. Savannah and Charleston
Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina are two historical cities located in the southeastern United States. They beckon as a lover does, whispering their stories, begging for you to stroll their mysterious lanes and squares, unfurling their magic before your eyes and enchanting you at every corner. These cities captivate with their charm, architecture, cuisine, history and culture. One visit and you’ll long to return time after time, drinking in all of the rich sights and sounds that these cities so freely give. Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina and is located on Charleston Harbor, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean which is formed by the joining of the Cooper and Ashley Rivers. Charleston was founded in 1670 and named Charles Town after King Charles 11 of England. The first settlers of Charles Town were mainly from England but there were also people who came from its Caribbean colony of Barbados and its Atlantic colony of Bermuda. They added a distinct flavor to the city as did the migration of the French, Irish, Scottish and Germans. These groups were joined by a large number of Sephardic Jews and by the beginning of the 19th century, Charles Towne was home to the largest and wealthiest Jewish community in North America, and it remained so until about 1830. The port became a dropping off point for Africans captured and transferred to the American English colonies as slaves. By the mid-18th century, Charles
Towne had become a great, bustling port and trade center and was one of the wealthiest cities of its time. During the American Revolution, Charles Towne was twice the target of British attacks. Fort Sullivan was built to defend the harbour. In 1780 the British gained and remained in control of the city until 1782. After they departed, the city was renamed Charleston. The invention of the cotton gin in 1793 brought prosperity to South Carolina and cotton quickly became its hottest commodity. On December 20 of 1860, South Carolina seceded from the Union and suffered massive damage during those years. The war shattered the once prosperous city and brought in its place, poverty and hopelessness. Charleston began to prosper again in the 1970’s and today is a vibrant and captivating city known for its art, music, local food, and fashion. Here it easy to lose oneself in gumbo, fried oysters, shrimp and grits and lowcountry boils. Today the descendants of slaves weave intricate sweetgrass baskets, a traditional art form passed down for generations. During the plantation era, sweetgrass baskets were used in the fields for carrying crops and it was not unusual for plantation owners to sell the baskets for extra income. It is the oldest form of African artwork in the United States, and no trip to Charleston would be complete without a stop at a sweetgrass basket stand. One of Charleston’s most unique stops is at the Charleston Tea Plantation Located on beautiful Wadmalaw Island, just 20 miles south of downtown Charleston, it is the only working tea plantation in the United States. The plantation uses the Camellia sinensis plant to produce a delicious black tea. The plantation packages American Classic Tea and sells six different
flavors in tea bags or the loose tea form. The tea is harvested from May to October and the plantation offers tours through the farm and tasting center. Savannah, named for the Savannah River, is just a two hour drive from Charleston. Established in 1733, it was a strategic port during the American Revolution and the Civil War. Millions of tourists visit Savannah each year savoring its rich architecture and historic buildings. This is where you will find the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts. Savannah consists of 22 park like squares in the historic district and each one retains its own charm and uniqueness. Here you can rest on park benches, surrounded by aged oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Take a moment to breathe in the scent of flowering plants and listen to the sound of water coming from decorative fountains. Savannah today is the fourth largest container ship port in North America and its bustling riverfront area is a delight to stroll. It is on the river front that the The Waving Girl statue is located. The statue recalls a bittersweet story that intrigues both locals and visitors alike. The daughter of a sergeant stationed at Fort Pulaski, Florence lived in a cottage along the river near the entrance to the harbour. Life was lonely for Florence and she was always seen with her faithful Collie waving a handkerchief and welcoming incoming ships into Savannah. At nightfall, she would stand by with lantern in hand to greet the ships. She fell in love with a sailor who promised to come back and make her his wife. Florence waited, but to no avail, for the sailor never returned. She continued greeting every single ship that approached the harbour for forty four years and welcomed over 500,000 vessels into
By Tod DeHart Savannah. Florence grew into a Savannah legend and sculptor Felix De Weldon fixed her image in immortality. Florence was beloved by seamen for decades and her statue was delivered to the city free of charge, by ship, of course! In 1943 the SS Florence Martus, a Liberty Ship, was christened in her honor. The Waving Girl statue is just one of many delights that Savannah offers the traveler. DIRECTIONS Tours will be visiting Charleston and Savannah in April of 2016. Come along and let the stories of these two captivating cities become a part of your story and life! (see itinerary details on next page)

Travel is fun and exciting, but it is also a a great way to enhance your life in many ways! Travel is proven to be one of the best ways to make your life healthier, happier, stronger and more fullfilled. Actual studies have proven that travel increases well-being, learning experiences, decreased stress levels, and creates memories of a lifetime. In addition, traveling builds stronger relationships, new friendships and connects people to new ideas and cultures. Vacation and relaxation go hand in hand. When leaving home (or work) and adventuring away from “the norm”, we leave our day to day lives and responsibilities far behind. This allows our bodies to reset our biological body clock. Notably, studies have shown decreased stress levels in people who travel. Reducing the amount of stress over just one week away on a trip, travelers registered lower levels of stress hormones in their saliva. Limiting our stress, our bodies no longer synchronize with the clock, but instead, with the sunrise and sunset. It is common knowledge that travel brings people together and builds new and everlasting relationships. Whether you travel alone, with family, or with friends, a vacation get away improves and creates relationships and friendships. In my 20 years of professionaltravel experience, I have taken joy and pleasure in seeing so many new relationships form and grow while adventuring
out. One of my greatest joys is introducing single travelers to new people, which ultimately become lifelong friendships. Because of this, I decided to create a more affordable pricing package for single travelers with DIRECTIONS Tours. When traveling as a single, one must pay more money in most cases (due to not spliting hotel costs). This leads to higher single supplemental costs and deters many people from traveling alone. So... I went to work with our vendors and negotiated better rates for our single guests. Now, when traveling with DIRECTIONS Tours, single guests can enjoy our great trips at the same rates of doubles or just a little more. (see details below). Many single travelers are also leary about traveling alone. Rest assured, you are never “alone” when you are our guests! There are so many great places to explore in 2016. DIRECTIONS Tours of St. Louis is a great place to start your vacation planning! Check out our featured tours and exciting destinations on the next pages! Call us for a full Tour Catalog today! SPRING TRAINING 2016 THE CARDINALS ARE HEADED TO JUPITER!!!
Get Up-Close & Personal with the Players “Let’s Go Cardinals… Let’s Go!” is a familiar cry by the fans in St. Louis every year, and it follows the Red Birds south to their Spring Training home in Jupiter, Florida. The Cardinals are gearing up with many new names and faces on the roster, fans can get to know the new players and see their favorites returning. Spring Training allows fans not only to familiarize themselves with the new players; it is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with them as well. Roger Dean Stadium is one of the best stadiums to have a personal contact and view of your favorite guys on the field. Any seat in the stadium gives fans the closest seats to the action than any Spring Training facility in Florida. If that is not close enough, enjoy taking in one of the six practice fields behind the stadium prior to a game! Players are much more accommodating during spring training when it comes to signing autographs. Get there early and be prepared to stand on the sidelines during practice. Players usually enjoy
chatting with fans and signing autographs just after practices prior to the actual game. Watch for familiar faces in the crowd too. Many Red Bird players enjoy watching the games on their days off the field. They, too, enjoy the games in the stands and are usually friendly to sign autographs or shake your hand. To make the most of your up close and personal time with players remember these tips: • Arrive Early for practices located behind the stadium. • Bring something you want signed. A jersey, hat, ball, photo, card or something to write on. • Have a Sharpie (or similar) permanent black marker (the players will not have one) • Be respectful to your fellow fans and limit your time with a player and always let the kids go first! • Be respectful to the players, remember that they are working and may not always have time to sign autographs and chat.

HOW SHOULD YOU RESPOND TO MARKET “CORRECTION”? by Jeff Ponte, Edward Jones Advisor
Instead of selling stocks, and stockbased investments, to supposedly “cut your losses,” you may find that now is a good time to buy more shares of quality companies, when their price is down. Also, you may want to use the opportunity of a correction to become aware of the need to periodically review and rebalance your portfolio. Stocks, and investments containing stocks, often perform well before a correction. If their price has risen greatly, they may account for a greater percentage of the total value of your portfolio – so much so, in fact, that you might become “overweighted” in stocks, relative to your goals, risk tolerance and time horizon. That’s why it’s important for you to proactively rebalance your portfolio – or, during a correction, the market may do it for you. To cite one aspect of rebalancing, if your portfolio ever does become too “stockheavy,” you may need to add some bonds or other fixed-rate vehicles. Not only can these investments help keep
As an investor, you may be gaining familiarity with the term “market correction.” But what does it mean? And, more importantly, what does it mean to you? A correction occurs when a key index, such as the S&P 500, declines at least 10% from its previous high. A correction, by definition, is shortterm in nature and has historically happened fairly regularly – about once a year. However, over the past several years, we’ve experienced fewer corrections, so when we have one now, it seems particularly jarring to investors. How should you respond to a market correction? The answer may depend, to some extent, on your stage of life. • If you’re still working … If you are in the early or middle parts of your working life, you might not have to concern yourself much about a market correction because you have decades to overcome a short-term downturn.
your portfolio in balance, but they also may hold up better during a correction. • If you’re retired … After you retire, you may need to take money from your investment accounts – that is, sell some investments – to help pay for your cost of living. Ideally, however, you don’t want to sell stocks, or stockbased vehicles, during a correction – because when you do, you may be “selling low.” (Remember the most common rule of investing: Buy low and sell high. It’s not always easy to follow, but it’s still pretty good advice.) So, to avoid being forced into selling, you need to be prepared. During your retirement years, try to keep at least a year’s worth of cash instruments on hand as well as short-term fixed income investments. By having this money to draw on, you may be able to leave your stocks alone and give them a chance to recover, post-correction. And it’s important to maintain a reasonable percentage of stocks, and stock-based
vehicles, in your portfolio, even during retirement – because these investments may provide the growth necessary to help keep you ahead of inflation. Consequently, as a retiree, you should have a balance of stocks and stockbased vehicles, along with fixed-income vehicles, such as bonds, certificates of deposit, government securities and so on. Being prepared can help you get through a correction – no matter where you are on life’s journey. For additional information contact Jeff Ponte, your local Edward Jones advisor. USE YOUR HOME TO STAY AT HOME by David Mattull, Reverse Specialist
If you expect to live in your current home for several years, you could consider a reverse mortgage. Reverse mortgages are designed for home owners age 62 and older. These types of loans are called “reverse” mortgages because the lender pays the homeowner.
To qualify for this loan, you must live in the home as your main residence. Unlike conventional mortgages, there are no income requirements for these loans. You do not need to make any monthly payments for as long as you (or in the case of multiple homeowners, the last remaining borrower) continue to live in the home. When the last borrower to live in the home, moves out of the home or dies, the loan becomes due. There are two types of reverse mortgages available in the market. These include:
mortgages-the traditional HECM Standard loan, an the HECM Saver loan. With a HECM Saver loan, borrowers pay lower upfront costs, but do not receive as much money as they would with a HECM Standard loan. Depending on the type of loan, borrowers may be able to receive payments as a lump sum, line of credit, fixed monthly payment for a specific period or for as long as they live in their homes, or a combination of payment options. The money you receive from a reverse mortgage is tax-free, and can be used for any purpose. Reverse • Home Equity Conversion Mortgage mortgages have unique features: (HECM)-This program is offered by the Department of Housing and Urban • All homeowners must first meet Development (HUD) and is insured by with a government-approved reverse the Federal Housing Administration. mortgage counselor before their loan These are the most popular reverse application can be processed (HECM program). • Older borrowers may receive more money, because lenders include life expectancy in calculating loan payments.
QUALITY OF LIVING Independence Financial Freedom Comfort Age-Friendly With a Reverse Mortgage, you can access equity in your home to:
Pay off your existing mortgage to get rid of payments
Travel
Renovate your home
Eliminate bills
Pay for medical expenses
Create a Line of Credit
Have an emergency fund
Purchase a new home/downsize
You now may use a HECM reverse mortgage to buy a home. This can make it easier for you to downsize to a house that better suits your needs, or to move closer to family caregivers. Loan closing costs for a reverse mortgage are the same as what you would pay for a traditional “forward” mortgage. These include an origination fee, appraisal, and other closing costs (such as title search and insurance, surveys, inspections, recording fees). HECM borrowers also pay a mortgage insurance premium. Most of these upfront costs are regulated, and there are limits on the total fees that can be charged for a reverse mortgage. The origination fee
for a HECM loan is capped at 2% of the value of the property up to the first $200,000 and 1% of the value greater than $200,000. There is an overall cap on HECM origination fees of $6,000 and a minimum fee of $2,500. You can finance these costs as part of the mortgage. Advantages: • You (or your heirs) will never owe more than the value of the home if you sell the property to repay the loan, even if the value of your home declines. If your heirs choose to keep the home, they will need to pay off the loan at 95% of the fair market value of the home, as determined by a third-party appraiser. • You continue to own your house and can never be forced to leave, as long as you maintain the home an pay your property taxes and insurance. • Depending on the type of loan, you may be able to get your loan funds through a combination of payment options (such as lump sum and line of credit). You can change the payment plan for a small fee. • For HECM loans, the available balance on the line of credit may increase over time, depending upon interest rates. • If there is in an existing mortgage on the property, the proceeds of the reverse mortgage are typically used to pay off the loan. This can increase the cash you have available each month, because you no longer have to make payments on your regular mortgage.

It was a Hollywood Night in March of 1966 when St. Louis’ Fox Theatre illuminated the words “World Premier! Trouble with Angels” on the marquee (pictured above). The film premier, a comedy about the adventures of two girls in an all-girls Catholic school ran by nuns, starred the legendary actress Rosalind Russell (pictured below in front of the Fox Theatre). The Trouble with Angels also featured, a youthful Haley Mills, and St. Louis’ very own, character actress; Mary Wickes. So, where did Wickes go to high school you ask, St. Louis? She graduated from Beaumont High in 1926.

Meet Petie, a 2 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. You are probably thinking this guy looks like Petie from “The Little Rascals” movie and you would be correct; they do look A LOT alike, hence the name Petie. Petie loves to run around the yard, play with other dogs and snuggle up with you on the couch after a long day of playing. Annika is a 1 yr old German Shepherd/Basenji mix. Annika loves to snuggle and to play with toys, especially her cow bones which are her favorite chew toys. She also loves the water and to play tug-o-war. Annika is a very active girl and would do best with a family that can give her plenty of exercise and with children over 5. Annika is doing will with learning her basic commands and potty training. She does well in her crate and walks good on a leash.

BECOME A PET’S FOSTER PARENT
Needy Paws Rescue of St Louis, is a 100% volunteer foster-based 501(c)3 organization, saving dogs at high kill shelters, strays, abandoned or owner surrendered. All of our rescued dogs are placed in approved inspected foster homes while waiting for their Forever Family. Needy Paws Rescue receives requests to save dogs every day and it is very hard to decide which dogs to save and those that have to be left behind.

Onyx is a 1-1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Onyx loves her people and hasn’t met a dog or cat that she didn’t want to make friends with immediately. She loves to play fetch and tug-o-war and loves to chew her butcher bones. Onyx knows to go outside, she just hasn’t quite figured out how to ask to go out. She will need a 5 ft fence or higher, as she has mastered climbing her foster mom’s 4 ft chain link fence. She is fabulous in the car and loves to go bye bye. Onyx is also excellent on her walks and would be a great running buddy.
We don’t want to leave any behind, but can only rescue when foster homes are available. We need More Foster Homes. Please help us by being a FOSTER PARENT to a rescued dog.
