“Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 15:57). That is our triumphant declaration for what the Lord is greatly doing in our lives as His dear children and as His beloved church. Our salvation from hell along our eternal security because of His love and grace is already a wondrous reason to rejoice everyday amidst constant challenges. Surely, we are more than conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ. This honorable status of ours is likewise a driving motivation for us to keep on doing His will despite disheartening situations. Much more, God’s promise of guarding while guiding His church which He built and where we belong, is a strong evidence that we are on the winning side. With His assertion that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church, we are truly assured of His presence. Such is a truth that we must uphold, believing that He always keeps His Word. That is also an earnest guarantee for which we must be grateful. This March, our Sunday School lessons will emphasize that “God Can Provide a Place for

from your

the Saved.” We then must be ready and willing to be instructed of our roles and duties, not just to be informed of our privileges and opportunities as members of the local Bible-believing, Christ-exalting Baptist church. While we acknowledge that we are blessed to be a part of His church, we must also accept the responsibilities that we are asked to fulfill. Among those are our daily personal walk with the Lord which includes our prayer-devotion, Bible reading and pursuit to live holy, and our involvement in church activities for the advancement of His kingdom. As we continue to experience that “God Can!,” we must fully trust Him, and joyfully testify about His grace and power. Today, let us “… stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God, Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant” (Psalm 135:2-3).

CBBC-CSP only continues the legacy commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ during His early ministry. II. The Local Bible Believing Baptist Church was cared for by Christ our Saviour during His earthly ministry. A. It is clear biblically and historically that the Church which Jesus Christ built was a Baptist Church.

02

B. History admits the existence of the Baptist Church since Christ’s time. C. Bible verses show that it is the Baptist Church that Christ built. III. The Local Bible Believing Baptist Church was constructed to be the pillar and ground for the truth. A. The Baptist Church was founded for the truth. B. The Baptist Church must be the receptacle of the truth. IV. The Local Bible Believing Baptist Church will be compensated by the Saviour in the coming future. A. CBBA ANNOUNCES ENROLLMENT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2015-2016 The Christian Bible Baptist Academy (CBBA) of San Pedro, Laguna is now ready for the School Year 2015-2016’s enrollment that starts on March 3 and ends on April 17. Likewise, it is pleased to announce the opening of its learning centers to new students (with ages five to ten years old) whose parents are not members of the Christian Bible Baptist Church (CBBC), but are interested to have their children educated in a biblical Christian way, and are willing to fulfill CBBA’s set requirements as well as to abide by the Memorandum of Agreement that seals CBBA and parents’ partnership for children’s learning endeavors.

“Home is where the heart is.” This famous quotation originated from a Roman naval commander and naturalist Gauis Plinius Secundus (AD 23-79). Pliny the Elder, as he was most commonly known, understood what home could mean to a person. Being away because of the call of duty, returning home from time to time gave him much comfort and ease. In Psalm 73, Asaph found such kind of comfort when he remembered a sure belongingness in the church. Looking at the world, it was painful for him to know that people much more wicked and corrupt than the believers, were in great prosperity. Envy filled his heart. Then in verse 17 he was enlightened when he said: “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.” Though this Psalm was written in the days of captivity where not even a single temple was there in Babylon and those that were established in Jerusalem had long been destroyed, Asaph went to that place where he and the rest of God’s people gathered for prayer, supplication, confession of sin, and meditation. Whether in a house or in an open field, every Christian must join the gathering of God’s assembly of saved and baptized believers, that carries the letter and the spirit of the Great Commission. He must belong to a church which he can personally consider as “My Home Church.” In one’s home church, the believer is identified with fellow

04

Christians. Together as one, all the believers in the church compose the household of faith, who form one family, of which Jesus Christ is the head. “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Eph. 2:19). Healthy relationships must be established and enhanced inside this sanctuary. It is where everyone is made accountable for his behavior towards the man of God, the other members and the many others who come to be saved and be added to God’s wonderful family. In one’s home church, the believer is fortified with the foundations of Christianity. God’s children ought to know the things of their Father. This can only be possible through the church where they learn the basics about the Scripture, standards, service, and even the Saviour’s Second Coming. Hebrews 10:25 encourages the church to be faithful in gatherings for through such, these foundations become profitable by practical and actual application. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:

and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” In one’s home church, the believer is edified to follow Christ. Apostle Paul charged Timothy, his son in the faith, to exemplify Christlikeness before the congregation, “… but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Tim 4:12). The believer ought to obey his pastor and the delegated authorities who, themselves, follow Jesus Christ (1 Cor 11:1). Every individual member of the church shall be instructed and therefore directed to do what Jesus did during His earthly ministry – sacrificial giving, faithful preaching, holy living, and glorious hoping that in due season, the Lord shall come quickly with the rewards for His saints (Eph 3:21, Rev 22:12). God placed us in this church, so may we learn to appreciate what a great privilege we have to be a part of Christian Bible Baptist Church in the City of San Pedro. Here is where our heart should be; here is where God is glorified!

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” – 2 Corinthians 4:4. Noong iyong tinanggap si Kristo bilang Panginoon at Tagapagligtas, ikaw ay pumasok sa isang dalisay na relasyon sa Diyos at gayundin sa kapwa mananampalataya, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”–1 Corinthians 1:9.

Inusal ng Diyos sa Malachi 1:6, “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?” Tularan natin si Haring David nang sinabi niya, “I have loved the habitation of thy house,

and the place where thine honour dwelleth”-Psalm 26:8 LORD. Nakalulungkot na sa maraming pagkakataon, ang ating pakikiisa ay ibinibigay natin sa Diablo, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”-James 4:4. continued on page 06... 05

Wala nang ibang institusyon sa mundo na kung saan ang ating buhay at ganundin sa ating mga inaakay ay nababago at naitatama sa maka-Diyos na tahakin, “Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”-1 Corinthians 15:34.

ang Panginoon, “For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.”-Acts 20:27. Kung hindi maisasagawa ang mga nasabing bagay sa ating buhay, animo tayong mga Pariseo na sinabihan ng Panginoong Hesukristo na, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness”- Matthew 23:27.
