from your
Pastor
In God’s will are His perfect peace and divine protection, as well as His abundant provisions. For such a time like this that we are moved by the love of God to give our utmost to the Lord and for His work, we surely need His provisions. Along our commitment to offer to Him our best is our thanksgiving to Him for putting us into His will where everything that we do for Him and through the Holy Spirit is blessed, and is never in vain. Thus, when we wholeheartedly practice cheerful and generous giving, we can glorify God for being enabled by His providing power. It is also a privilege to be one among His joyful givers like those Israelites in I Chronicles 29:9 recorded in the Scriptures for their remarkable giving attitude: “Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD.” We praise God truly for supplying us so that we can share our resources and contribute to the advancement of His kingdom and for the fulfillment of His Great Commission. The work of God is great (I Chronicles 29:1), so it demands our best, if not, our all. Actually, God Himself deserves our best and our all; so giving our best for His work is acceptable and honourable in His sight. In the light of His Word, our
giving reveals that we have compassion for the lost, and that we care for the next generation. Likewise, our giving declares that we have faith in our great God Who can provide for our needs as well as for our financial pledges for His ministry, including our promised amount for our on-going church building renovation project. Furthermore, our giving shows our belief that there is no loss when we sacrifice for the Lord, as we realize that we can never bring our money and property to heaven; but we can send our divine investments there aside from the souls that we have won. As your Pastor, I commend you in the Lord for your love and faithfulness to Him and to His work. By His grace, we must continue prioritizing our lifebuilding pursuits as we participate in our churchbuilding project. May God see us consecrating our service to Him, and find us setting our affection to His house, according to I Chronicles 29:3-5. Today and onwards, let us “…Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power; praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness” (Psalm 150:1-2).

Grandparents' Sunday Joyfully Celebrated Warmly greeting the grandparents and elders of the Church, the joyful program last Grandparents' Sunday was a sure success as about 400 grandparents stood up to be acknowledged, appreciated, and given a simple token. A special recognition was also given to the youngest, the oldest, and the one with the most number of grandchildren. We salute these patriarchs and matriarchs to whom the heritage of a godly generation were entrusted and to whom we have seen a beautifully gracious aging in the presence of the LORD. It is worth noting that the annual September celebration of Grand Parents’ Day started out as an official holiday. This is to attribute lovingly the importance and meaning to the sunset years of these precious jewels in the family. Launched in 1970 and is a brainchild of Marian Lucille Herndon McQuade, a housewife in West Virginia, who thought to dedicate a day to prompt encouragingly her family to give special recognition to the elders of their household. Consequently, a resolution bill was created in the Senate by Jennings Randolph and Robert Byrd to make Grandparents' Day a national holiday which resulted to its first celebration in 1973.
Then in 1978, U.S. President Jimmy Carter signed the Bill declaring that every first Sunday of September is given to celebrate National Grandparents' Day—a holiday which was adopted by other countries, including the Philippines.
We must be ever mindful of the fact that we are recipient of the time, talent, treasure, and heritage passed on by our grandparents. Let us always recognize and appreciate their wise counsel and godly presence in our lives. 03
CBBC at CEF, Nagpapatuloy sa Pangangaral Nang inusal ng Panginoong Hesus sa Mark 10:14 ang mga katagang, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God”, ipinakita Niya ang kahalagahan para sa mga kabataan na makarinig ng Salita ng Diyos.
dito.

The Nature of God’s Supply Exodus Chapter 16 relays to us the account of God’s provision of meat and bread to His dearly beloved Israel on the second month of their journey out of Egypt. It also reveals to us how the congregation asked the Lord for their need with this expression: “Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger” (verse 3). God can fathom the attitude of every heart who begs for something from Him. Though Israel asked by their murmurings which were so provoking, God still gave out of His love, mercy, and kindness; hence he said in verse 12, “I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.” God did not provide to spoil His children, and pamper them with quails for food in the evening and manna in the morning. We can see in this case the nature of God’s supply. God’s supply is SUFFICIENT. In verse 16, there is an instruction as to how much allocation a person should get, “Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.” God does not want us to develop greed, but only get what is according to our need. A preacher once said, “Anumang bagay ang sobra na sa atin ay hindi na natin pagmamay-ari.”
God’s supply is SUSTAINING. In verse 22, an advanced reminder was given to them in line with the Sabbath, “…on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man.” God knows our activities and the resources we need to accomplish them. On the days we feel tight with what is on hand, we know He will give it to us, only if we ask (Matt 7:7; Luke 11:9). On the days we feel a little over enough, let the Filipino proverb rebuke us, “Ubos-ubos biyaya, bukas nama’y nakatunganga.” God’s supply is SURE. In verse 32, God gave them a special command that would serve
as a remembrance for the next generation, “Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.” God established a testimony that God’s supply will never lack just as how David claimed it in Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” If the Lord was willing to provide for the murmuring Israelites, how much more will He be heartily willing to give to His children pleading with the right heart?
05
"When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them." Ang mga isinulat ni David sa Psalms 111:5, "He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant," ay tunay na mapanghahawakan natin hanggang sa kasalukuyan sapagkat sa Diyos ay laging may kasapatan.
they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?” Ang kasukdulang kanilang kinasadlakan ay dulot ng paglayo nila sa Diyos, “And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God” (v8).
ay nangakong hindi Niya tayo pababayaan, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Cor. 10:13).
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”
For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.”
