from your
Pastor
“We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith growth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth” (II Thessalonians 1:3). It is truly a blessing from the Lord to belong to a church with members whose faith is growing as well as increasing which is seen in their spiritual performance and church involvement. Thus is real in CBBC, and I thank God for working in our church, enabling the faithful saved and baptized believers to do their best in advancing His kingdom as a manifestation of His granted saving, sanctifying and service-strengthening faith in their lives. For our faith us to continue bearing fruits of righteousness and souls won for the Lord, let us keep on listening to the voice of God, gaining eternal values from His Word, through the declaration of His preachers and teachers, along the Holy Spirit’s illumination. As such, our attendance in every worship service, Sunday School class and fellowship or gathering where God’s Word is proclaimed, is very important. Romans 10:17 asserts that “Faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Likewise, we must practice our faith by obeying God in striving to venture toward His will through His leading. In exercising our faith, we must fully depend on God Who can make things possible for His glory. The forthcoming National Baptist Youth Conference 16 needs our working faith to accomplish the event’s purpose and program as planned and prayed for. Let us do what we can to contribute to its success since we believe that God can bless this endeavor that aims to edify the youth and to equip the next generation to be steadfast and fervent in faith-keeping and to be faithful Baptist witnesses. Meanwhile, let us worship the Lord today in spirit and in truth, acknowledging that “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable” (Psalm 145:3).

Evident Joy in Being a Baptist Church Member A young boy in a Baptist family had this notion that he was going to be a preacher someday. So he got up early one morning and preached to the chickens at their backyard. He seemed to have fun with what he was doing so he did it every morning - speaking before the many animals under his parent-farmers' care. One day, he decided to practice baptism, so he looked around for possible resources to carry things out. Their old dog had had puppies which had grown to a pretty good size. He rounded them up, took them down to the creek and began dunking them under with the appropriate words. When he got down to the last puppy which was the least sociable, it growled and bit him, drawing some blood from the open wound. This preacher wannabe then said, "Well, I'll just sprinkle you with water and let you go to hell!" This story maybe true to our church kids nowadays, growing up to be the future preachers. It is good to note that they get themselves familiar with what is going on in the church. However, may this pinch our hearts that the teachings they hear from the pulpit must be taught diligently to them, Deuteronomy 6:7. The same familiarity goes with our visitors who come and get themselves wet in the baptistery without understanding what they have gone through. This then calls for a deeper sense of responsibility. Our main goal is their salvation. We believe that faith came to them by hearing the Word of God heralded by the preacher, Romans 10:13. After which, we bring them to the next level of obedience, that is, 02
following Christ in water baptism. We trust the Holy Spirit's power to convict alongside the new believer's gladness in acceptance of the Saviour, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized...(Acts 2:41a)." However, we have a tremendous job to do which concerns the next half of the aforementioned text, Acts 2:41b, "and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." We, who are already part of the genuine church which Christ built, must take courage to confront them of their need to be baptized alongside their clear profession of new faith. Most of them are afraid of change, particularly that of their so called religion. continued on page 03...

MARCH 30 Engaging the young new converts to be in united fellowship with their classmates, the New Converts Class of the Juniors' Children's Department held a "White Sunday" program last March 15. Ministered to by Bro. Bryan Brando Bolondro and supervised by Sir Jonah Raña, the precious 81 new converts of the faith cooperatively wore white-colored shirts and apparel. They were likewise exhorted by a WHITE devotion from the Scriptural passages Psalm 51:7; Isaiah 1:18; Revelation 19:14 with the following themes: Washed by the Blood of Christ, Holy Life, Intimate relationship with God, Tell others about Jesus, and Excited about the Church. Two students were chosen as the "Whitest." They were given Christian audio CDs, “I CAN” rewards stubs, and candies. Excitement filled the program as well by way of lively games and activities which everyone enjoyed. We hope that this inventive pilot program in the Children's Department will draw and strengthen young new converts to love the Church and to engage them further in God's Word. May the Lord richly bless our endeavors for Him. ...continued from page 02
Therefore, evident joy in being a member of the Baptist church must be seen in us as they are being added to the church. We cannot win them by words only, let our talk push them to walk their way through the waters to which all believers “… are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life” Romans 6:4.

Ikaw Ba Ay Manunumpang Magtatapat Magpakailanman? “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the Gospel of the grace of God.”- Acts 20:24 Hindi madali ang manumpang magtatapat sa isang adhikain o persona magpakailan pa man.
Ang Bibliya ay nagsasabi sa atin, “…that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13). Panunumpang Hindi Mabubuwag. “…Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:3539).
Sabi nga ng isang dakilang thinker, “We do not break the law, we break ourselves against the law.”
