"I MUST SEE THE CHURCH PEOPLE AS A TEAM INVOLVING TOGETHER IN GOD’S WORK."
PEOPLE IN INVOLVEMENT
This past week, we saw many Filipinos observe Lenten Season, which is not in the Bible. We pity them for being blind in following such unscriptural tradition. Yet, we see that most of them are really sincere in their practices. Some even dared to “crucify” themselves, which is an insult to God. Let that be a challenge to us who have the Truth. Let us be more zealous in loving God, winning souls, giving our tithes and offerings and living a Christian testimony. They do it to pay for their sins, but we do this because we know that we are already assured of Heaven. We have the real message. May God find us more sincere in upholding, declaring, and living for the truth that we believe. Meanwhile, I am grateful to see how God works in the hearts of our church people. Since we started our yearly theme, “Resolved to Involve,” many new Christians are being challenged to involve for the Lord through different events and ministries. A good number participated in the DVBS seminar last Tuesday, while many couples and single parents joyously learned through the couples’ revival. To God be the glory! Summer season and hot weather may be felt, but let us beat the heat by our involvement in God’s work! Have a heart ready to learn and grow for God!
Sunday School Outline People in Involvement must be Available Nehemiah 8:7 / 9:3 I. The availability of God’s people for service springs from the love of Christ. A. The availability of God’s people for service secures eternal bliss. A. Our heavenly Father is joyful to behold His people’s availability for service. B. Our heavenly Father gives joy to His people who are available for His service.

RAISE God for it was truly a "food(spiritual and physical), fellowship, and fun-filled" Deaf Camp last April 2-4, 2012 at Rizal Re-Creation Center! There were 53 campers revived by the 6th Deaf Camp’s theme: “Let Us Rise Up & Build” (Nehemiah 2:18). The program was led by our (CBBC San Pedro) deaf members and interpreters, and joined by deaf members and interpreters of CBBC Sta. Cruz and CBBC Manila. Delegates were thankful for the aircon bus provided by our honourable Mayor Calex Cataquiz. Most of all, they are all so grateful for the support of our beloved Pastor, Dr. Ed! Thank you Pastor and church for continuously praying for our deaf brethren! Let us continue to pray for the interpreters to continue to have the hands that speak and to be the voice for the voiceless. All glory to God for the victory of the Deaf Camp!

UMMER has always been an anticipated season for the children and young people as they are free to plan DVBS SEMINAR SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED their own EXPEDITION with friends and families. To take advantage of this opportune time, our Church engages in its annual endeavor to deploy an organized week-long Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) in each respective area. A seminar was held last April 3 as a part of training the teachers and preparing them. The activity was wellrepresented by our own and other four fellowshipping churches, totalling 320 attendees. Jesus Christ Himself has a heart for children as the Bible states in Mark 10:14b “ ... Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” It is worth noting that today’s youngsters are pitifully bombarded by amusements, gadgets, latest trends that are drawing them away from knowing and understanding the truths of God and His Holy Word, the King James Bible. This year’s DVBS theme, “An Amazing Expedition of Knowing God” with theme verse from Exodus 6:7a, “And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God...” aims to revive and reinforce in the hearts and minds of these precious youngsters the reality of God and His Word, and to capture today’s generation who are immersed in dilemma of too much aimless distractions. The lessons are carefully crafted by our Baptist Heritage Bible College 3rd Year Students in the Teachers’ Training subject under Ma’am Edna Adena. They are designed to give the children an EXPEDITION, a journey through selected Bible truths to demonstrate God as Saviour, Protector, Defender, Provider, and Lawgiver. Furthermore, the seminar has geared the members for a victorious DVBS proper in each area on the third and fourth week of May as they anticipate for a great EXPEDITION for the workers and the children alike.

HILE many families were likely to be cooling it off in the beach, swimming pool, or the mall, the couples, widows, and single parents of CBBC and mission works were feeling the heat of God’s Word as they attended the Couples and Single Parents’ Conference held last April 5 and 6 at the CBBC San Pedro church facilities. For the 255 participants who attended the one and a half day retreat, this is an unforgettable summer event as all will be looking back at the precious words of wisdom and encouragement on how to build a home God’s way. The theme is fittingly inspired by Psalm 127:1, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” GOD's Way Using God’s word as blueprint and master plan, the Psalm 127:1 parents enrolled, lined up and flexed the muscles of their hearts and spirits to receive loads of principles from God’s word as their primary tools to become Christian master builders of homes that honor God’s design for them as husbands, wives and single parents. The retreat is in its first run and is envisioned to be a yearly event because of the ever-deepening need to protect and fortify Christian homes from the destructive elements of the world’s influence and its deceptive concept of success.

“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalms 89:1

“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
