from your
Pastor
“God has a place for you.” Such was emphasized, explained, and expounded during our scheduled church MinistryInvolvement session which was well-attended last Thursday. We thank the Lord for inviting, welcoming, and ushering us, His children, to His work for us to experience and enjoy a fruitful and fulfilling Christian life by serving Him through His church ministries. We praise Him likewise for letting us realize that since ministry is serving God through people, we cannot become the genuine ministers He wants us to be without first becoming the faithful soulwinners He requires us to be. With that, we give God the glory for the two-hour church-wide soulwinning endeavour that we participated in where more than 1,000 souls professed that they received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord. Having witnessed your zeal and joy to involve in the work of God, I am certainly delighted to have you as my partners in this heavenly pursuit of advancing the kingdom of our Sovereign Master and of populating Heaven by fulfilling the Great
Commission. I am truly blessed to see the young and the old members, as well as the new and seasoned believers, signifying their intention, not just to support the ministry, but also to help strengthen the church through the power of God and for His glory. Though there are hardships, hindrances, and heartaches in the said hard work of life-building, we are assured of God’s victory through His Word, wisdom, and ways, all because He can! Let us then, by the grace of God, do our best part in giving our full share to this wonderful task, believing that our labour is not in vain because we are investing for eternal gain. As we worship God with grateful praises today, let us exalt Him for giving us the privilege to serve Him when we responded to His call that makes this truth in I Peter 4:10 a reality in our lives: “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

Taiwan Church Outreaches Remarkably Celebrated Their Anniversaries In a country no larger than the whole of Luzon, our three fruitful church outreaches in Taiwan celebrated their respective anniversaries on the same Sunday, April 5. The pioneering Kaohsiung Outreach was on its 20th, Taichung on its 5th, and Jhong-li on its 5th. The hosts of heaven rejoiced to witness the presence of 561 First-Time Visitors and a total attendance of 771 folks on that blessed day. God be glorified for the courageous endeavor accomplished for the furtherance of the Gospel through the three outreaches as they held their respective anniversaries in three separate venues with dedicated Pastor-speakers. Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) guests from Gangshan, Yongkang, Tainan, and Kinghong on the Southern part of Taiwan were fetched by our tireless brethren. Our beloved pastor, Dr. Ed preached on "The Gospel Salvation" at the Kaohsiung Nantze Export Processing Zone Auditorium. Guided by the Scriptural passage from the Book of 1 Corinthians 15, he led the 313 guests out of the 360 attendees to the precious truth that only Jesus Christ can save and that He alone is able to transform lives truthfully for God's glory. It was noteworthy that one visiting Taiwanese national came and got saved. Meanwhile, the zealous pastor from CBBC Los Banos, Rev. Arnold Vallejo, preached in the Taichung auditorium on "Living an Abundant Life" from the Book of John 10:10. Those precious 143 guests came to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and were assured
of an eternal place in Heaven's glory. All the 185 attendees were likewise exhorted to keep the abounding faith once delivered unto the saints. In Northern Taiwan, the dynamic missionary Dr. Peter Mordh ministered to the 105 guests who completed the 201 total number of attendees. He proclaimed about "The Hope We Have in Salvation" at the Jhong-li Auditorium. We praise and thank the Lord for our dear OFW brethren for this goodly and godly success. In a far-off place away from home and family, they remain fervent in expanding God's true kingdom and in providing a refuge for worried and wearied souls. May we also be ever-mindful of our impact and influence wherever the Lord has placed us to be lights in dark places. To God be all the glory! 03
Church Members Responded to Ministry Involvement Emphasis Great attendance showed up last Thursday, April 9 at the scheduled Ministry Involvement Emphasis. The day started as frontliners and members assembled for empowering prior to the Churchwide soulwinning. Dr. Ed Laurena took off from Matthew 28:19-20 through which the congregation was encouraged to Go! The power as well as the presence and the person of Jesus Christ Who commissioned the church, is always with those who love whom God loves. Assignments were then given as to where the soulwinning would be. The High School and the College Departments were brought to San Pedro City Proper, while the Working Single Men and Ladies knocked the doors of the houses in El Vinda. The Young Builders and the Cheerful Achievers saturated the households in Pacita 1D, as the Joyful Beginners and Young at Hearts Classes went through the streets of Pacita 1B. The jewels of the church, the Jolly Sixties won souls nearby the church premise. By 11:30, all soulwinners went back to the CBBC Auditorium bringing good reports of souls won summing up to 1,162 professions of faith. Such was an effective propeller for everyone to get back at 3PM for lecture and divided sessions. As expected, more members manifested interest when they came in the afternoon. Courageously, they listened to the exhortation by Pastor Genesis Refugio when he challenged the crowd of ministers and aspiring ones to keep the right perspective in the ministry based on the scrutinized context of 1 Timothy 1:12. Divided sessions followed after; thus, Sir Jonah Ra単a spoke before the Sunday School teachers while Sir Julius Dayandayan and Ma'am Mishael Sibug took charge
of the music ministers. Sir Danny Bacudio stirred up the Ushers to keep on with their vital role in the church's security and order. The occasion concluded with Dr. Ed's challenge to every member to live on the vision of a Baptist City. The building project entails more workers and more people coming in to church. For all that the Church will altogether accomplish, God be glorified.
Family Time is Quality Time An anonymous writer once illustrated, “To prove his love for her, he swam the deepest river, crossed the widest desert and climbed the highest mountain. She divorced him. He was never home.” This may have tickled our sense of humor but the underlying principle boils down to the essentiality of the element of time in building family relations. In this era of technological advancements and electronic alternatives, human relationships become of less quality. Fathers think that tablets and high-end gadgets as incentive can make their children genius not bothered that their kids’ concentration in games and various applications robs them off of their attention to instructions and patience in life’s practical situations. Fast food chains and convenient stores in 24/7 operations allow working mothers to provide meat easily at the table, not bothered that they lose the chance to express their love by preparing home-cooked dinner. The young ones get to shout out loud to everyone in the network their emotions, feats and aspirations. They get sympathy and develop camaraderie through social media instead of resolving
their personal issues with the family as the basic unit in which they respectively belong. These things are just some of the present time distractions in making quality time with the family. If the members will not be really careful, these seemingly good things around us may in the latter end derail us toward a successful and blessed family life. The Bible meant it in 2 Timothy 3:1-6 that these times are perilous. When Apostle Paul charged Timothy, his son in the faith, he boldly enumerated what men could be in the latter days. Among those pertain to what children and even parents are nowadays – lovers of themselves, disobedient to parents, unthankful, without natural affection, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than

Umawit ng "As For Me And My House" ang mag-asawang Mr. Mrs. Rodel Pagkatipunan at Mr. Mrs. Duke Lumictin sa intermission.
lovers of God. However, there is a remedy as stated in Ephesians 5:16, “Redeeming the time…” Time is the only commodity every father has today. It is not too late yet to start the day with a family devotion. Would 30 minutes be long to speak of God’s Word to your wife and your children? Dad, bring your wife to a dialogue date. Moms, prepare your children a one-of-a-kind snack they can have for “baon.” Young ones, sit beside your parents inside the church. Go soulwinning together. There are a million ways plus one to make a worthwhile time with the family. The foundation of such quality is your attention to the leader of the family – Jesus, and the guide – the Bible.
Kanlungan Ba Natin Ang Ating Ka-Pamilya?
"And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me." Tinuruan tayo mula sa Titus 2:11-12, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching 06
Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment" ay mapanira. Bantayan natin ang ating motibo.
us that, denying ungodliness and wordly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world."
Sabi sa Romans 2:15-18 "Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness...And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law."
