VOLUME 23 > ISSUE 15 > APRIL 14
Church attendance has been belittled by many. It is also regarded by some as a waste of time and energy. Amidst this sad reality, I praise the Lord that He has placed upon the hearts of most members here its importance. From the opening song, special numbers, fellowships, preaching and up to the closing prayer of the service, and even with our various church ministries, everything related to church must be important to us. It is one of our great opportunities to worship God. As we do it, it strengthens our spiritual lives; much more, we magnify His greatness and faithfulness to us. I encourage you to be more faithful in serving God this summertime. We just had some good retreats and fellowships for the purpose of challenging us that Christianity is not boring. With our youth conference coming next week, I pray that our young people will involve themselves and parents will motivate them to come. God will surely be pleased to see more Christians loving and serving Him rather than being influenced by the world. Let our church be a help! Keep yourselves updated with our summer events and let us be involved. Have a blessed Sunday!

Soulwinning Conference - May 1 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. MATTHEW 28:18-20

6TH GRADERS RETREAT YIELDED COMMITMENT TO FOLLOW JESUS With the theme, “Following Jesus,” the Grade 6 class with their Sunday School teachers retreated to a scenic fishing resort in Pila, Laguna and to one of our growing mission churches in CBBC Santa Cruz Laguna last April 9-10. In these two blessed days, the 40 energetic 6th graders were treated to four main challenges from God's Word on Following Jesus and His Concern, Communication, Conviction, and Compassion, which were concluded by a prayerful commitment for Jesus Christ via Bonfire Ceremony. The students were also surprised with a whole afternoon of fishing and swimming to their hearts’ desire and relaxation. The groups Peter, James, and John also willingly showed their God-given skills and talents. Before leaving, the soulwinning hour by the graders and teachers yielded about 120 professions of faith and 1,400 tracts distributed in the neighboring barangay of CBBC Sta. Cruz. It is a blessing to see genuine and humble young hearts striving to seek and follow Jesus. It is our prayer that the Lord will continually nourish in their hearts a yearning for spiritual things and that their lives will become a wonderful testimony for the glory of God.
YOUNG AT HEARTS’ LADIES GEARED TOWARD A VICTORIOUS SATURATION DRIVE IN LIPA CITY Nineteen ladies of our Young at Hearts’ Sunday School Class experienced a victorious mission trip when they joined the soulwinning-saturation drive in Lipa City, last April 9. All 34 soulwinners, including 15 members from Lipa CBBMission headed by Preacher Boyet de Leon, were blessed by the Lord Who enabled them to lead 85 souls to Christ, with at least 8 families that showed willingness to have a Bible Study in their homes. As testified by the ladies, the said mission trip opened their eyes to the mission work and has made them appreciate more the efforts of our church through our Pastor in establishing churches to reach the lost souls. Likewise, they said that they made a commitment to continue what they have started by participating in more saturation drives and mission trips to come while influencing others, especially the mothers, to win souls for Christ. Furthermore, they also realized that their involvement in the saturation drive was a revival for them to be more fuelled than ever to continue in God’s work. Finally, with their expression of gratefulness was their acknowledgment of the support of Ma’am Dhel, who, though in Taiwan, had made them felt her presence through her prayers.

MEN’S AND COLLEGE LADIES’ RETREATS SUCCESSFULLY HELD Glory to God for a successful Men’s Retreat last Tuesday, April 9, held in Villa Sylvia Resort in Nagcarlan, Laguna. It was a day filled with wholesome fun and laughter as the men of our church had their time of fellowship through the games, devotion from the Word of God brought by Bro. Pops Villarosa and an encouragement from Dr. Ed Laurena. Our Pastor encouraged the men of the church to involve in soulwinning for a great impact to the community. He likewise exhorted them to do whatever they are tasked to do for the glory of God. From Graders up to Senior Citizens, a total of 170+ enjoyed the food, fun, fellowship, basketball, swimming, and other activities throughout the day beating the summer heat. The men are excited to do it again next year for God’s glory! Meanwhile, 64 College ladies joined the first-ever retreat of this Sunday School Class. In a private resort in Bucal, Calamba, that Tuesday was packed with fun and fellowship which overwhelmed these young collegians. The holiday was spent meaningfully, especially that each of them went home with a challenge to be “A Woman of Worth” from the Word of God.

4. Ibahagi sa iba si Kristo Hesus.
