VOLUME 23 > ISSUE 17 > APRIL 28
As we are about to end another series of lessons this month, let us continue to understand worship’s importance and its main goal. While religions and false churches have twisted its focus to themselves, let us always check that we must worship God, not by our personal standards, but according to how God wants to be worshipped. In this manner, we will know Him more and love Him more. Meanwhile, I deeply appreciate all members who prayed and participated in our youth conference this past week. I am always happy to see God work in the hearts of the young people, even to the adults. It is a blessing to have the biggest number of delegates that came and however God will work in their lives, what a privilege because our church will have a little part in it. I encourage you to keep on serving and investing in God’s work and surely God will bless you more! I also would like to thank how you showed your love and appreciation on my birthday last week. It is a joy and privilege to pastor you! May the Lord find us faithfully serving Him!
from your Pastor

CBBC VICTORIOUSLY HOSTED NBYC 14
P
ressing stronger on its 14th year, the National Baptist Youth Convention (NBYC) that our church victoriously hosted last April 22-25 evidently showed God’s power in our zealousness in faithfully influencing the next generation for godliness and righteousness. Such was seen in the spirited participation and triumphant response of about a thousand young people from 45 Baptist churches across the country. This year's theme, “Strong in the Lord,” anchored on Ephesians 6:10 in the King James Bible, was clearly expounded through the daily sessions and preaching which focused on being “Strong in Consecration, Challenges and Course.” The said theme asserted that real strength can only come from the Lord and can be enjoyed while living according to the precepts of His most holy Word. Truly, all six main speakers were relentless in their challenges and exhortation of having a spirit strong enough to stand against the wiles of this deceptively evil world. Likewise, the 19 speakers and teachers of the divided sessions wonderfully complemented those challenging exhortations, admonishing the Baptist Christian youths that they should not be beguiled by the 'seemingly' correct and deviously attractive fanfare of the world around them. Meanwhile, the dynamic and vibrant delegates were assigned to 13 strategic groups that were named after Bible characters with their dominant characteristics. Aside from group devotions, prayer time and fellowships, the participants were also treated to extraordinary games like treasure hunting, and most notable of which was the balloon fight. After the event’s culminating preaching by Dr. Gil Laurena, close to 150 young people committed themselves to full-time service, ministry involvement, and willingness to be equipped through Bible College. Indeed, the Lord has graciously answered our prayers and the fervent 5 Thursday nights’ prayer vigils of our young people. Let us pray that the good Lord will continually nourish in the delegates’ hearts the strength and consistency to put into practice what they have learned in this blessed NBYC14. May the Lord be magnified and glorified in all that were accomplished.

BHBC CELEBRATED ITS 24TH FRUITFUL COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
S
tanding firm on its God-centered CAUSE of training Christian workers for 27 years, Baptist Heritage Bible College celebrated its 24th Commencement Exercises last April 23 in conjunction with the NBYC 14’s 2nd Night. It was a fulfilment and accomplishment to the attending faculty staff, parents, family and friends that it presented the product of Bible principles and scriptural curriculum-excellence in the equipping and training of God-called men and women for effective service. The ceremony promoted 3 Pre-College students to the Collegiate Level and conferred the 22 College Curriculum graduates with the following: Graduate in Theology, Certificate in Bible Education, and Diploma in Christian Education. They were also welcomed as bona fide BHBC Alumni. 10 Alumni were also awarded their diplomas after proving themselves faithful for more than five years in the ministry. Speaker of said event, Dr. Gil Laurena of Christian Soldiers Impact Taguig (a daughter church of CBBC), gave a very timely, needful and challenging exhortation on the CAUSE of the vocation which the Christian workers have committed themselves into. Braced by the Scriptural context of David's cause in 1 Samuel 17:29, the graduates were charged to remain strong because God's cause is worthy which reverberates through timeless eternity. BHBC, a ministry arm of CBBC, with its unchanging tenet, hopes to see its graduates faithfully and steadfastly serving in God's vineyard for the furtherance of the Gospel and the fulfilment of the Great Commission.

OF Fruitful SOULWINNERS
C
hrist’s last command before He ascended to Heaven is found in Mark 16:15: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Every person has an eternal soul, and it is our privilege and responsibility to share with them the good news of salvation. Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Although we do not save souls, we are to witness to them and lead them to the Lord who does save them. We must realize that no one becomes a good soulwinner by accident. Fruitful soulwinning happens through Spirit-filled people who develop habits of being ready and available for God to use them. 1. Fruitful Soulwinners Pray for a Burden It’s so easy for our burden for others to get swallowed in the rush of a busy schedule. The only way to sustain a heart-felt burden for souls is to daily pray for God to help us see lost people with His compassion. If this is not already on our daily prayer list, we should add it! 2. Fruitful Soulwinners Carry Gospel Tracts Carrying tracts helps us be soul conscious wherever we go. Additionally, a Gospel tract equips us to easily begin a conversation about the Lord and salvation. Even if we only have a moment, at least we can leave the other person with a printed Gospel presentation. 3. Fruitful Soulwinners Are Attentive in Church Services—Especially During the Invitation Those who are soul conscious seek out visitors at church, befriend them, and specifically ask them about salvation. They don’t just assume that everyone they see is saved, but they make it their mission to find out!
4. Fruitful Soulwinners Are Hospitable Some people are saved during a brief encounter with a soulwinner at their doorstep. But many require hearing the Gospel multiple times before they understand their need for salvation. Hospitality allows us to build a relationship that will facilitate multiple presentations of the Gospel. It assures them that we are genuinely interested in their lives, and it opens them to hear our message. Of course, hospitality is also an essential ingredient in discipling someone after they are saved. 5. Fruitful Soulwinners Involve New Converts in Soulwinning Every unsaved person has unsaved friends. Fruitful soulwinners encourage new converts to reach their unsaved friends. They ask them who their friends are and help new converts share their testimony with their friends. Soulwinning itself is a habit! Only the Holy Spirit can convict hearts of their need for Christ (John 16:8-9), but He uses Christians who make time to talk to people face to face and share the wonderful news of salvation. ministry127.com

4. Ibahagi sa iba si Kristo Hesus.
