PRACTICALITY OF INVOLVEMENT
There is really no “summer vacation” for a church that is passionate about God’s business, and I thank the Lord that He has allowed me to pastor one. Praise the Lord because this past week has just been another week of victory as several of our areas and Gospel teams held their Daily Vacation Bible School simultaneously. It is a joy to see and hear how God’s Word has influenced the lives of hundreds of children, their families and their community. I am also blessed to see many members, especially the new converts who have involved, not just with their prayers and finances, but also with their time and abilities. Thank you very much for your desire to be a blessing. There is no greater joy than to know and experience the truth that God can use anybody who is willing to be used. Let us pray that in this 2nd week of DVBS, there will be more souls to be saved, adding to our fruitful investment. As we enjoy being in church today, let us realize that God is filling us with spiritual blessings us so that we will be a blessing to others this week. May we not hoard those blessings. DAILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2012 for WEEK 1: “An Amazing Expedition of Knowing God” On its first week alone, 748 Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) students from 19 areas and four Gospel teams have been exposed to an Amazing Expedition of Knowing God as Saviour, Protector, Defender, Provider, and Law-Giver. For five consecutive days, they were saturated with godly songs, Scripture memorizations, interactive games, fun activities, and wonderful Bible stories, which not only opened them up to precious Bible truths but most importantly led them to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was fulfilling to see that those students who were not familiar with Bible stories and godly songs on Day 1 were already singing the DVBS songs during break time on the succeeding days. Likewise, their efforts in Scripture memorization and recalling Bible information during review session were inspiring. It has been a joy for the 345 Church workers and members who have involved and sacrificed to see the fruits of leading a total of 797 people to Christ and prospects of first time visitors for CBBC’s Sunday services. Again, this endeavor is geared toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission, particularly in proclaiming the Gospel to the lost. We praise God for His evident accomplishment in all our efforts through this Church program.
