I MUST USE BIBLE-PROVEN PATTERN AND ATTITUDES AS I INVOLVE IN GOD’S WORK.
PATTERN OF INVOLVEMENT
Parents and young people are once again busy as another school year starts for them. Whether it has started weeks ago or starting this week or next, I pray that every families and students will continually allow God to guide them amidst pressures brought about by studies, peers and finances. Put God first. Be faithful in church, in winning souls, in your prayer life and also in your testimony as His child, and He will surely bless you. Meanwhile, I am grateful to God for a busy summer He gave us. Besides a successful Daily Vacation Bible School, He gave us opportunities to visit, be a blessing and be blessed by other mission works and churches. I was in Dipolog City for a Revival Conference this past week together with my wife, Meljun, Anica and 8 other pastors. It brought joy to our hearts to see our graduates, Pastor Genesis and his wife, Hydie Refugio, applying what they have learned here. Christianity really is not just about one individual serving the Lord, it is also teaching and influencing others to love and serve God. May we be reminded of that always, especially through our Sunday School lessons on Involvement and through the preaching of God’s Word.

I’M RESOLVED TO FOLLOW YOU, MY LORD JESUS CHRIST Beata Agustin I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along paths of submission Your coming to earth exemplified Your ready subjection You surrendered Yourself to the Father’s will for mankind’s redemption… Here am I yielding myself to Your altar that blesses my transformation.
Sis. Edgie A. Mendoza "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24
I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along grace of humility Your birth in Bethlehem’s manger exposed Your real humanity You secured Yourself by the Father’s authority for sinners’ conversion and spirituality… Here am I bringing myself to Your control that breaks my pride’s intensity. I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along steps of obedience Your subservience to parental guidance explained Your godly respect, not of expedience You braced Yourself with the Father’s command for kingdom-work’s diligence… Here am I giving myself to Your molding that subdues my selfishness-resurgence.
I’m so glad that I’ve become a part of the family of God since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour on January 11, 1983. I’m so blessed likewise that I became a member of the church of God when I was baptized in CBBC on January 23, 1983.
I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along joy of lovingkindness Your relationship with people expressed Your genuine helpfulness You submerged Yourself into the Father’s truth and mercy for peace-role’s goodness… Here am I setting myself to Your design that overcomes my stubbornness. I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along challenges of servitude Your baptism by John the Baptist exalted Your honorable attitude You placed Yourself upon the Father’s plan for missions’ magnitude and latitude… Here am I devoting myself to Your church ministry that builds my dedication-fortitude. I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along struggles of sacrifices Your dealing with the disciples extended Your patient, longsuffering services You cast Yourself under the Father’s sovereignty for Christianity’s power-forces… Here am I entrusting myself to Your care that upholds my worship-praises. I’m resolved to follow You, my Lord, along steadfastness of commitment Your death on the cross extolled Your victorious compassion-fulfillment You laid Yourself toward the Father’s leading for believers’ faith-upliftment… Here am I consecrating myself to Your heart that beautifies my divine achievement.
I’ve heard the call of God for service a month after my salvation. I was first involved in the choir ministry, and then in the Sunday School ministry where God allowed me to teach in the children’s department for ten years , and in the high school girls’ department for two years. Through the years, I’ve seen and experienced God’s faithfulness in my life. It’s only by His grace that I can continue serving Him. I really thank and praise Him for enabling me to sing and to teach in our Christian School for His glory. If there are times that I am not singing with the choir, the only reason is sickness. Finally, I am encouraging everyone to keep on serving the Lord. For those who are not yet involved, decide to be involved. If we say that we love God, we can only prove it by our immediate action in getting involved in the Lord’s work. To God be the glory!
Bro. Gideon Cocjin III "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 I thank the Lord for the salvation I have received on April 24, 1999 and for the great privilege that He has given me to be a member of a great Baptist church such as CBBC-San Pedro. I also thank the Lord “that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry” of singing in the church choir. Truly, God has been gracious for the manifold blessings that He has bestowed upon me for the last 7 years that I have been in the Choir ministry, especially during my college days. By God’s grace, I was able to continue singing in the choir even though I was studying in college. It was not easy, but it sure was awe-inspiring and exciting to see how God worked in my class schedules, in providing for our financial needs and in my academic performance. I thank the Lord that He has enabled and upheld me to keep the commitment I had made during the bonfire of NBYC 7 six years ago, which was, to continue in the choir ministry even while studying in UP Los Baños and be a challenge to future college students. I also thank the Lord for allowing me to be a member and eventually, a president, of Baptist Youth Sowers for Christ, the campus ministry of CBBC- Los Baños, which He also used to keep me refreshed and encouraged in the faith. God has taught me first-hand that school and work responsibilities and requirements are NOT hindrances to serve Him, but avenues for God’s power and glory to be exercised and manifested. To God be glory!
