from your
Pastor
God is ready to guide His people with His wisdom. As His children, we are surely given the privilege to acquire it, avail of it, and abound in it to accomplish His will in our lives for His glory. The Bible commands us to “Get wisdom” (Proverbs 4:5-6), as it asserts that “Wisdom is the principal thing.” We really thank God for assuring us His wisdom; and we only need to ask from Him. Such is what our June Sunday School lessons expound and emphasize as we face a new school calendar, and/or another series of decision-making challenges in the middle of the year. Let us then submit to His sovereign control over us, believing that He is always wise in directing us toward victorious endeavors. We praise the Lord likewise for His enabling wisdom that has made us succeed in our church’s Summer activities, especially in advancing His kingdom. Among the triumphant results and spiritual fruits include the continuous Sunday worship attendance of some of our Vacation Bible School graduates and parents; the revival-testimonies of those who joined our Sunday School camps, retreats, and mission trips; and the commitment-zeal of the
young people who dedicated their lives to study in the Bible School after the Youth Convention. We are grateful that by God’s leadership, we were able to redeem our “vacation time” through our various scheduled events aimed to evangelize sinners, edify the saints, and exalt the Saviour. Those who willingly involved themselves, and also those who contributed and participated in all our ministry programs can sincerely say that they are blessed by God, for those projects are worthy of our support. Yes, our labour in the Lord is not in vain. In seeking first God’s kingdom and His righteousness today, let us altogether worship Him in spirit and in truth. May His wisdom prevail over us throughout the week. Congratulations to all those who are to be promoted in their Sunday School classes. With rejoicing in our hearts, let us “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations” (Psalm 100:4-5).

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. - Charles H. Spurgeon

Children's Promotion and Recognition Ceremony Upheld
Stewarding Time With Wisdom
In conjunction with the national opening for Academic Year 2015-2016, the Children’s Department held a 1-hour program last Sunday at 3PM to recognize and award exemplary Sunday School students' character traits and participative skills in their respective classes. Emceed by the jovial Bro. Ramil Guardian and the amiable Ma'am Luisa Raña, the said event was truly victorious. Parents, guardians, and audience were blessed while listening to the heart-felt and candid testimonies, witnessing the awarding activity, and enjoying the group special number rendered by the Juniors' Department students. Likewise, complementing that Sunday is today’s promotion and endorsement of the students to their new classrooms and Sunday School teachers. Indeed, these yearly hand-over ceremonies are all beneficial in having an orderly Sunday School. Let us all be prayed-up and geared up for this needful transition, all for God's good pleasure.

Below are truths that may be of help in allocating God’s wisdom as we try to steward our time for His glory! WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US IS SUSTAINABLE It isn’t God’s nature to give us more responsibilities than grace. He doesn’t give us more to do than we can get done in the time He has provided. IDENTIFY AND FOCUS ON THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS Every opportunity looks important at the moment it presents itself, but living with an eternal perspective will help us sort out what matters most. We must learn to distinguish between the trivial and the truly important – those that matter when we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. TARRYING TIMES ARE NOT IDLE TIMES There are seasons when all we can do is wait on the Lord. These seasons allow us to sense His purposes for our lives, and it equips us to serve with His power (Isaiah 40:31). CENTER OUR TIME ON THE MAIN THING GOD HAS CALLED US TO DO Regardless of any other life achievements we may make, if we neglect our responsibilities, we have failed… and our family members are the ones who will suffer. The same could be said for other areas of our calling. Time is an incredible resource from God, and we are thankful that God freely gives His wisdom (James 1:5) to help us best use the time He has given to us for His glory. - An excerpt from www.ministry127.com.
“He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: (Prov 2:6a)” Si Hesus mismo ang
And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.” Masusing ipinagbilin ng Diyos na ang karunungan at ang bunga nito sa buhay natin bilang Kristyano ay para sa kapakinabangan ng Kanyang pangalan. Isang kalamangan ito ng bawat anak ng Diyos na sa ating paghingi ng karunungan, Siya ay agad tutugon dahil Siya ang pinagmumulan ng lahat ng mabubuting bagay, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). 05
Are You Chasing Fool's Gold?
“Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?” - 2 Chronicles 1:10 Solomon indicated the primacy of wisdom when he said in Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing:...” Further on, he said, “...therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” When he, as King, was asked of God in 2 Chronicles 1:7, “...Ask what I shall give thee.” he requested that wisdom be given him. James confirmed the importance of wisdom by saying in James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” THE TRAGEDY OF KNOWLEDGE. The Greeks during Apostle Paul’s time looked for wisdom as evidenced by 1 Corinthians 1:22, “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom.” Tragically, they were looking for it at the wrong source. The Greeks tried to find wisdom through the doorway of a knowledge that is not of God. Immanuel Kant, the renowned atheistic philosopher, coined the motto, "Dare to Know" and has set man on a path to self-destruction because not all knowledge leads to wisdom as what 2 Timothy 2:4 asserts, rebuking the heathen of his day, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” With the advent of the information superhighway, knowledge is being fabricated AS IF it is authentic when in fact almost ALL of the information being peddled to the public is fallacious and manipulative. It manipulates the masses to dance to a certain tune...a tune that is out of sync with the God of Heaven. THE TRANSGRESSION OF UNDERSTANDING. The Hebrews, on the other hand, looked for the light, they wanted to be illuminated...that their understanding be enlightened 06
because a flaw in understanding will lead people to transgress from the very God Who is the Author of Truth. Colossians 2:4 says, “And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.” Philosophers preached “The Age of Reason” and said “we no longer need God.” Today, Western universities worship at the feet of Godless teachers such as Plato and Socrates. They have purchased these doctrines of men with all their wealth. Yet, their graduates are as bankrupt as their philosophers. They cannot answer the true needs of mankind. Western universities and seminaries dispense knowledge without establishing either its needs or revealing its source. It has resulted in lawlessness, immorality, alternative lifestyles, and various diseases brought about by a kind of living that defies the very God of the whole Creation. THE TREASURES OF GODLY WISDOM. “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). God's wisdom has practical aims. James said in Chapter 3:17 that God's wisdom leads humans into daily applications of knowledge, “But the wisdom that
is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” Verse 13 preceded that with, “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.” Wisdom means always acting according to the Spirit of God and not looking for an ambiguity or omission which we can use to evade their true intent. Wisdom means understanding the consequences of our actions and words before we act or speak. Wisdom means having the knowledge and understanding to recognize the right course of action and it is of primal importance that it aligns with God's Word. In the Biblical sense, wisdom is the ability to judge correctly and to follow God's path, based on Biblical knowledge and spirit-filled understanding. Anything other than that is just chasing fool's gold. May we be ever mindful of the kind of wisdom that we are embracing ourselves into. May we always ask God to give us the wisdom of the wise.
