from your Pastor Having been saved by the grace of the Lord through our faith in Jesus Christ, we are now the children of God, and we can possibly rejoice in our relationship with Him. Being so, we are thankful that we are granted the divine access toward our heavenly Father Whom we can call, converse and communicate with confidently and comfortably. Let us then constantly cleave to His care, contentment, and commandments, while confessing to Him our sins, and clinging to His cleansing and corrections. Likewise, we are grateful that we are added to His church, by virtue of our obedience to the Lord in our scriptural baptism. Let us grow in faith, choosing to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness by attending church services, having learned that we ought to behave in the house of God, “which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” (I Timothy 3:15). Furthermore, we should decide to be faithful, fruitful and flourishing Christians through our church involvement and ministry support. In this regard, I would like to comDR. ED M. LAURENA mend those who participated in our Independence Day Soulwinning endeavor last June 12. I believe that those who were assured of heaven through your Gospel sharing are glad to have found real freedom in Christ. I also would like to thank you for praying for me during my preaching engagement in the Spiritual Leadership Conference in Lancaster Baptist Church last Tuesday, 1:30 PM in the USA (Wednesday, 4:30 AM in the Philippines). Please continually uphold me in your prayers for me to be a blessing to our brethren here as I minister to them through God’s Word. This Sunday, I am with Pastor Rudy Abrot and his church in Bethel Baptist Church in Carson, California. To all fathers, I greet you a blessed Fathers’ Day. With God’s power, let every one of us strive to be the Dad, Papa, or Tatay that God has purposed us to be. Let us all worship God in spirit and in truth this Lord’s Day!!!

CBBC Welcomes 2014-15 Academic Year for its Three Educational Ministries
DECISION TO LOVE THE
BAPTIST CHURCH
A
THAT GOD ESTABLISHED
GREAT ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-15 greeted the three educational arms of CBBC as they welcomed more than 300 enrolled students. With excitement and enthusiasm, along God’s guidance and goodness, they all had started well in the regular rigour and routine of their respective classes, with the BHBC and CBBA opening on June 9, and the School for the Deaf and Mute last June 2. To glorify our Lord in a Christ-centered, Bible-based educational environment from pre-school to high school, the Church has established in 1985 the Christian Bible Baptist Academy (CBBA). Exclusive to students of active, compliant and cooperative parent-church members, 68 students have been admitted this year. Likewise, for 28 years, the Baptist Heritage Bible College (BHBC) has maintained a biblically sound and competent training ground for God-called men and women who have surrendered their lives for the work of the Lord. Over the years, BHBC has produced more than 400 graduates who are now serving as pastors, preachers, teachers, musicians, ministers and workers for the Lord’s vineyard. This year, a close to 200 students enrolled in the courses of Graduate-In-Theology (GIT), Certificate in Bible Education (CBE), Diploma in Christian Education (DCE) and the new 1-Year Bridge Program called the College Preparatory Course (CPC). Moreover, CBBC has not neglected its responsibility to reach out and train our special deaf and mute brethren to live for God and serve Him. This is by way of the Christian Bible Baptist School for the Deaf and Mute which is now on its 24th year with about 100 enrolled students. CBBC provides an environment that promotes spiritual growth and academic success. Her educational ministry arms equip students spiritually, academically, interpersonally, and socially to provide the opportunity for each student to know Christ in a personal, life-changing relationship and to excel for God’s glory, by His grace and through His power.

Bible verses show that it is the Baptist Church that Christ built. III. We must decide to love the Baptist Church for she was constructed to be the pillar and ground for the truth. A. Young at Hearts Enjoyed Physical Fitness Activity
W
HILE MOST PEOPLE in the community thought of a worthwhile holiday activity, about twenty men and women from the Young at Hearts class put their running shoes on as they liberally tread the road to Southwoods in the morning of June 12, Thursday. This was actually the second time they had fellowship through engaging in a fun jog which lasted for two hours. From as early as 5AM to 8AM, the activity culminated with a breakfast together at our Pastor’s residence in Las Villas de Manila. Praise God for a clean and healthy fun they had which can be attributed to the relationship bonded and strengthened more through the divided Sunday school fellowship.
FITLY JOINED TOGETHER
“From whom the whole body fitly joined together...maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” – Ephesians 4:16

A
S CHILDREN OF GOD, there ought to be in our hearts a Spirit-led love and unity with one another as a Church. Philippians 2:2 commands us, “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” We must value our relationships within the Church as an institution that God established and died for. We must value church membership. We must understand that the church is the local expression of the Body of Christ. A true disciple must give heed to the conditions for membership in this local body and should recognize the value of fellowship and individual contribution to the local church. We must always carry out the Great Commission and it is extremely important that we be involved in a local church where we can serve and be identified with a body of believers. All too often, the Church, as we know it, is considered unimportant, or necessary only in the sense of the significance attached to a school, a refuge, or some other organization. We must give our utmost priority and be associated with a body of Biblebelieving people by way of our relationship with the Church. We must value faithful involvement in attendance, soulwinning, giving, studying His Word, and in prayer within a local assembly. A compelling reason is asserted in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” In the said verse, we are encouraged to attend all church services, activities, and events. We also need to remember that obedience to God's precepts is a mark of loving the Savior where He said in John 14:21, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” We must value our testimonies for the cause of Christ and precious like-minded brethren. We should be united as a Church according to Romans 12:4-5, “For as we have many members in one body,... So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” For the sake of our submission and willingness to the discipline of the body, we are exhorted in 1 Corinthians 5:4-5, “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” We should then guard our testimonies. We may impress people from a distance but we can only influence people up close. We must value servitude towards God. Ephesians 4:7-13 promises, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ… Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.” Our genuine service to God through ministering to people will absolutely produce eternal results and rewards. We should all be diligent in our efforts to strengthen these vital areas of our relationship with this Church. God, in His infinite wisdom, placed us here to be fitly joined together as Ephesians 4:16 declares. Let us all bring glory to God through His Church.
THE BLESSINGS OF DISCIPLESHIP
A
Sa biyaya ng Dios, pinapatunayan Niya ang Kanyang kapangyarihan at pagkilos sa discipleship program, katulad po ng sinabi sa Bibliya, “Acts 2:42 ¶ And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common.”

Ministry in Men Mentoring Men
D
ISCIPLESHIP AND LEADERSHIP can be coined interchangeably. Nevertheless, these two subjects were hit in one program instituted two years ago by our dear Pastor himself. With the vision of reaching out to fathers and husbands who are biblically ordained by God to be leaders of the home and even of the ministries, this discipleship program for the men of the church is termed as “Men Mentoring Men.” Anchored on 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also,” some chosen preachers of the church stand before thirty men every 3 o’clock in the afternoon of Sundays to teach doctrines and biblical principles in practically living a life of faith, running and leading a Christian home and fighting for Christ as His soldiers. Come to think of it, we are very blessed to have a program such as this, that the home, the church and even the secular institutions in which most of them are heads shall be influenced by godly precepts and standards.

4. Ibahagi sa iba si Kristo Hesus.
