“…The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary… He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:28-29). How specially favored are we, believers in Christ, to be encouraged and exhorted with that truth! For us to be sustained and stabilized by the infinite Source of power is both a privilege and a responsibility. Wholehearted trust in God with our complete surrender to Him must be our grateful response to His readiness to strengthen us. Hence, our faithfulness in obeying Him, because we love Him, along our worshipful service, shows what His great might can accomplish in our lives. Let us praise God that His strength can make us stand. Yes, it is only by His strength that we can stand for the faith, and become victorious in our spiritual fight against the forces of evil. We thank God for His strengthening supply, as well as for His protecting strength, that enables us to stand for His glory, amidst hardships and trials. We must then stand in His strength as we do our daily tasks, deal with others, and delight in serving Him. We should
never neglect to “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10) by practicing these biblically approved ways and divinely effective means: putting on the whole armour of God vigilantly, praying fervently, as distinctly elaborated in Ephesians 6: 11-18, and presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice unto God acceptably, as directly expressed in Romans 12:1-2. While standing in the strength of the Lord, we must continue supporting His work that advances His kingdom, especially in proclaiming the Gospel of our Saviour and in winning souls. I am glad that you are with me in standing in God’s strength as we strive to fulfill our part in the Great Commission, including the renovation of our church auditorium. Let us keep on standing together, in the strength of the Lord, building lives and re-building our worship place for His honor. May the Lord find each of us standing in His strength today with this Spirit-filled testimony, “The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation” (Psalm 118:14). DR. ED M. LAURENA

And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you. - Numbers 9:8 To stand is to be in an upright position with all of one’s weight on his feet coming from a sitting or low position. Moreover, to stand still is to maintain that erect pose such as without motion. This was exactly what Moses ordered to a certain group of men who came to him and asked what they will do to keep the Passover, as they were defiled by a dead body of a man. It was an impressive attitude that Moses displayed when he did not abruptly decide over the matter of these men. He turned to God as he, himself, stood still and waited on the act of God by the power of His Word. Standing still before God is an important attitude, we, Christians of today’s generation, must learn. As Psalm 46:10 asserts, “Be still, and know that I am God.” We have to pause, and be strengthened as we find more things while we stand still. REST. To be still is to find rest from running in a world full of pressures that pursue the believers. “Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening” (Psalm 104:23). So then, God sends out His invitation to His fainting children, “Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). RESTRICTION. To be still is to be limited to move on our own, but to allow ourselves to experience the power of God. Moses admitted his limitation when he uttered, “I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you” (Numbers 9:8b). While we stand still, we adopt a mentality that we cannot do anything except we rely on the strength that God gives, as expressed by Apostle Paul when he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). RESTORATION. To be still is to regain and be ready again to face a new phase of the
Christian race. It will seem but just a moment to stand still, but the strength that comes from the renewing of the mind (Ephesians 4:23) and the reassigning of our hearts to God (Psalm 9:1) shall help us discover and be directed to that pasture prepared for us by the Good Shepherd, “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake” (Psalm 23:3). Just as how those men were made clean to keep the Passover and the offering therein, by standing still, we shall be made qualified also to serve God and fulfill the duties of a child of God, through His strength made possible by His grace.

Tumayo ka Sa Tamang Paninindigan “For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.”-1 Thessalonians 3:8
Ang Salita ng Diyos ay may idiniin ding ganitong katotohanan sa 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15, “...because God hath chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or by epistle.”

Pablo
and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved” (Philippians 4:1). May nagsabi na, “Men of conviction are men of conflict but men of convenience are men of compromise.” Sa gabay ng Salita ng Diyos, sumagot ang butihing ina nitong dakilang mananampalataya ng, “Son, whatever weakens your reasoning, impairs the tenderness of your conscience, obscures your sense of God, or takes away your relish for spiritual things; in short, if anything
increases the authority and power of the flesh over the Spirit, then that to you becomes sin, however good it is in itself.” Maaaring may mga panahon ng panghihinawa at tila hindi na maka-usad, ngunit tayo pa rin ay tumayo,”...that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.“
