"I MUST BE A FAITHFUL STEWARD OF GOD’S PROVISION IN MY INVOLVEMENT."
PROVISION IN INVOLVEMENT
Praise the Lord for another fruitful week that He gave us! As we continue to emphasize church involvement through the Sunday School, our lesson today reminds us that it is not all done thru our own abilities. God wants us to involve, and He wants us to depend on Him as we do so. God's work can never be done by our own capabilities. Our efforts surely have limitations, which remind us to rely on Him always. Our salvation cannot be done without Him, and that is also true with our service. Let us learn to be humble always in asking God for His help while serving Him. It was also a joy to see some Baptist cadets making a covenant of faithfulness to God last Friday. I pray that they will keep such vow, since in doing so, they can contribute a big part in teaching righteousness to our nation, especially through their example. God has truly placed each of us in different positions, but one thing is for sure, He has a purpose. That is to bring glory to His name. Because He placed us in this church, He expects us to use what He feeds us through His Word in fulfilling His purpose in us. May we be more resolved to get involved for His glory! Looking forward to what He will do today! Have a blessed Sunday!

71 DAYS TO GO!
I. To prosper in our giving, we need the unmatched honour from our Almighty God. A. Believers should ask God to bless them. B. Believers should ask God to bless them so that they could bless others also.
Pray for the following: • Holy Spirit empowerment • safe travel of the delegates • good weather condition • financial needs • cooperation of every member • registration team • kitchen crew • audio & special numbers • surrendered lives • great impact upon participating churches
II. To prosper in our giving, we need the unlimited help of our Immutable God.
Baptist Cadets Covenant Signing
A. God never changes in taking care of the needs of His people. B. God never changes in taking care of the needs of His program for His work.
III. To prosper in our giving, we need the unending hope from our Eternal God. A. The believer’s hope is secured in the person of God. B. The believer’s hope is settled in the person of God.
Gospel tracts, preaching/music CDs & Sunday School/Discipleship lessons are available @ the ushers' table after the service.
For 12 years now, CBBCs ministry arm in the Philippine National Police Academy is steadily gaining ground. Last Friday night, the 2nd Covenant Signing at the Pacita Astrodome was performed by the 70 upper class Baptist Christian cadets who are set to enter the police working force as police inspectors. This yearly event of the PNPA Church Outreach in partnership with CBBC is meant to emphasize to this next generation police the upholding of our Baptist faith and practice while enforcing the laws of the land. The occasion’s main speaker was our dear Pastor, Dr. Ed Laurena who challenged the cadets to be resolved in involving in the Lord’s Battle, in the country’s battle, and in the family’s battle, through the power and grace of God. The event which was well-attended by the full-time Church staff, Pastors, and Senior Bible College students, was spearheaded by our PNPA preacher, Bro. Ronnie Delfin.

3. Be Diligent and Scrupulous in All Business Transactions
Scrupulous means having moral integrity. Keep in mind that God knows what people don’t. “The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” Proverbs 10:3-4
4. Work Hard
It does not matter how small the task is or how much the job pays God has promised that in all labor there is profit. “In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.” Proverbs 14:23
5. Pay Your Bills on Time
Solomon is the wisest man
that has ever lived and his wisdom came
straight from the Lord. Let’s get his advice on finances. 1. Tithe
Tithe off your first fruits. Tithe off your gross not your net. “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10
2. Get Financial Wisdom
Money is a tool, not an end. It is a help, not a salvation. We should never base final decision upon finances, but rather, on wisdom. “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” Proverbs 3:13-17
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Proverbs 8:17-21 “Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.” Proverbs 13:18 “Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief. Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” Proverbs 24:1-5
After your tithe, your bills are your first financial priority. You should never make a purchase when you have bills you should be paying with that money. “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.” Proverbs 3:27-29
9. Avoid Get Rich Quick Schemes
God is against get rich quick schemes, and He always blesses hard work. “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” Proverbs 28:22
10. Never Co-sign a Loan
Co-signing is taking full responsibility for someone else’s bill. The only reason that they need a cosigner is that they have not proven themselves stable financially. “He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.” Proverbs 11:15 “Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?” Proverbs 22:26-27
11. Do Not Have a Goal to Be Rich
The Christian’s goal should be to gain eternal riches rather than to live for the temporary riches of this world. “Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.” Proverbs 23:4-5
12. Live a Pure and Holy Life
Servant leadership is a great principle but choose who you are willing to serve—Don’t serve credit cards. “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7
God promises to honor those who obey Him and His Word. “Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.” Proverbs 28:10
7. Always Spend Less Than You Earn
13. Live By a Budget
6. Refuse to Go into Debt
This is a very basic principle to help you stay out of debt and yet it can be difficult to follow. “There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.” Proverbs 21:20
8. Avoid Making Money Void of God’s Blessing
Making money the wrong way displeases God. “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” Proverbs 13:11
We all have good intentions but in order to have financial success, we must discipline ourselves to live by a budget. “Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?” Proverbs 27:23-24

“You are to be more envied than anyone I know,” said a young man to a millionaire. “Why so?” responded the millionaire. “I am not aware of any cause for which I should be envied.” “What, sir!” exclaimed the young man in surprise. “Why, you are a millionaire! Think of the thousands your income brings every month!” “Well, what of that?” replied the millionaire. “All I get out of it is my food and clothes, and I can’t eat more than one man’s allowance and wear more than one suit of clothes at a time. Even you can do as much as I can, can’t you?” “Yes, but think of the hundreds of fine houses you own, and the rentals they bring you.” “What good does that do me?” replied the rich man. “I can only live in one house at a time. As for the money I receive for rents, why, I can’t eat or wear it; I can only use it to buy other houses for other people to live in; they are the beneficiaries, not I.” Then, finally, after a little more discussion, the millionaire turned to the young man and said: “I can tell you that the less you desire in this life, the happier you will be. All my wealth can’t buy a single day more of life, cannot buy back my youth, cannot procure power to keep off the hour of death. Then what will happen? In a few short years at most I must lie down in the grave and leave it all forever. Young man, you have no cause to envy me.”

EVERAL YEARS AGO, construction workers were laying a foundation for a building outside the city of Pompeii. They found the corpse of a woman who must have been fleeing from the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius but was caught in the rain of hot ashes. The woman’s hands clutched jewels, which were preserved in excellent condition. She had the jewels, but death had stolen it all. That’s the bottom line in life. Worldly treasure is not a wise investment because you can’t take it with you. Jim Elliot, a missionary who was martyred for his faith, understood this reality
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” It’s not when he wrote in his journal,
foolish to give up what you cannot keep in order to gain what you cannot lose.
