"I MUST REMOVE AND SACRIFICE SOME THINGSIN MY LIFETO SHOW HOW MUCH I LOVE TO INVOLVE."
PASSION FOR INVOLVEMENT
Total involvement in God’s work does not happen by accident. It requires a deep desire which results in investment not just of time, but also of talents or abilities. That is the great thing in involvement in God’s work. He only requires us to give what He entrusted to us and not those which we do not have. That is why we have no reason not to involve. Just this week, that principle was proven again. God gave me a privilege to speak to the First Anniversary of the outreach to the Mangyan tribes in Mindoro, led by Pastor Dela Peña. Those people may be so limited in material things and comfort as we know it, but I saw how they love serving the Lord. Likewise, the Evangelistic Meeting held by our Baptist Youth Campus Ministry last Friday affirmed such principle. Though most of them are students in different public and private schools, with what they have, they were able to reach some students with the Gospel. God really does bless when we desire and give what we can as we involve. It’s not yet too late, you can still be involved. I also would like to honor the grandparents in our church. While many of you may have physical limitations, I salute you for being faithful to the Lord and to the church, and for being a good example to your grandchildren. Praise God for your life! Let us enjoy the Lord’s day today!

KAKAYAHAN MO’Y ILAAN SA DIYOS
TO GO!
Beata Agustin

Pray for the following: • Holy Spirit empowerment • safe travel of the delegates • good weather condition • financial needs • cooperation of every member • registration team • kitchen crew • audio & special numbers • surrendered lives • great impact upon participating churches • "Million for Missions" commitment
A Mission-Challenging Trip to the Mangyan Tribe in Mindoro Early September 6, 2012, selected members from Christian Bible Baptist Church San Pedro, Laguna rose early to travel the road to Mindoro’s mountain range. That day marked the 1st Year Mission Anniversary of the work with Iraya Mangyan Tribes in Occidental Mindoro. The event was hosted by Mission Pastor, Rev. Ed dela Peña and graced by Dr. Ed Laurena as guest speaker. Bro. Sendo Caasi, a graduate of Baptist Heritage Bible College and now a help in the tribal work, emceed and led the congregation in joyful singing. Ms. Edna Adena taught and shared the Gospel with the children. Testimonies were given and God was glorified. Special numbers were whole-heartedly sang and a poem on Christ’s life was delivered with enthusiasm by the Mangyan people. “Nangalkat nangalkat nangalkat ag mabiat naay sukmar vat nangalakat,” sang an old lady. Indeed, God’s amazing grace and faithfulness were expressed through great testimonies and heart-felt singing. As the song of the old lady echoed, “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” in Filipino with “Napasyahan ko sa aking loob na ang susundin tanging si Hesus…” the prayer for missions’ support reverberated. May it prick the hearts of CBBC members to reach the Mangyans, to take part and be involved. Mangyans are a people in need of the Gospel, in need of education, and in need of Christians who will prove the sincerity of God’s love.
BIG Victory in the Baptist Youth Campus Ministry’s BIG Day What can make a day “BIG”?...None else but souls saved and lives changed through the power of God! The Lord has wrought great victory as 231 first time visitors from nine participating schools attended the Big Day celebration of the Baptist Youth Campus Ministry (BYCM). From near Pacita, San Pedro to as far as Bulihan, Cavite, young volunteer workers picked the students up and brought them to the second floor of the Main Auditorium where they had clean fun in games, singing, and listening to special numbers and testimonies. Most importantly, they had professions of faith after having heard and understood the Gospel, which was preached unto them by Preacher Pops Villarosa. In his message entitled “Follow Me as I Follow Christ (1 Cor. 11:1),” which was also the theme of the event, the young people were charged to follow Christ and to choose the right associations and influence. BYCM leaders and members, moreover, would like to express their sincere appreciation to those families who opened their houses to be the venues for Bible Studies, meetings and fellowships. With all these, surely our Big God has proven His amazing power which none could ever fathom.
