from your
Pastor
For us Christians, it is a wonderful blessing to be saved from the penalty of sins through our faith in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It, too, is a great security to be assured eternally of heaven while guarded steadfastly inside the Lord’s will. Much more, it is a marvelous opportunity for us to be placed by God Himself in His church and to be put into the ministry, where He can get glory. Thus is what Ephesians 3:21 asserts, “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” By virtue of our being redeemed and members of our beloved Christian Bible Baptist Church, we are then privileged to be shown the right means, to be instructed with the acceptable ways, and to be guided through the biblical practices of giving glory to God. It is His will for us to persevere and persist in glorifying and pleasing Him with our deeds according to His instructions, expressed in His Word, “…Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (I Corinthians 10:31). Likewise, since God is glorified through His church, we must never neglect our church-related responsibilities which we can first fulfill when we attend worship services as Hebrews 10:25 and Psalm 63:1-2 say. Moreover, God
receives glory from our offerings as revealed by I Chronicles 16:29, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” Thus, our generous contributions with our voluntary and sacrificial offerings which we cheerfully give to the ministries of our church are surely pleasing in God’s sight. We thank and praise God for teaching and encouraging us always to have a meaningful and joyous Christian. As such, let us keep on making ourselves available in the work of the Lord through His ministries that advance His kingdom, and to continue participating in the programs and projects of our church. As your Pastor, I am delighted to see your love to the Lord and to His church. To God be the glory for your support for our soulwinning activities, discipleship endeavours, and buildingrenovation pursuit. Your labour is not in vain as you help promote His work. To each one who is desirous, decisive, and determined to glorify God by His grace and through His power, I say, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1). Revival Meeting In Taiwan Outreaches Gloriously Blessed
The Lord gloriously blessed all the revival meetings in our Outreaches in Taiwan last September 6 and 13. With our Pastor, Dr. Ed M. Laurena, declaring the Word of God, our brethren there were all the more encouraged to invest in God’s work, to love His Word, and to follow His will. Furthermore, all the gatherings and Bible studies there yielded a total of 22 baptisms. On September 6, the Chungli and Taichung Outreaches had their worship service together. In the said occasion, there were 97 attendees and seven among them were baptized. Then they had the Lord’s Supper as their final program in the evening. The following Sunday, September 13, the Kaohsiung and Tainan outreaches held their joint morning worship service where they had a total attendance of 129
with 30 professions of faith and six baptisms. Accordingly the Chungli and Taichung brethren joined the aforementioned outreaches in the afternoon service where four new converts were baptized. They likewise partook of the Lord’s Supper. Meanwhile, our Pastor conducted daily Bible studies in several dormitories where our brethren invited their fellow

(OFWs) to listen to the Word of God and learn Bible principles. By the grace and power of the Lord, that week’s godly endeavour produced five baptisms. Indeed, God's mighty Word works as His people work for His glory. Let us continually pray for God’s favour upon our Outreaches and our OFW-brethren in Taiwan.
We praise God for the progress of our Renovation Project. Let us continue to pray for the provision for the following: • • • • • •

Sunday School Teacher's Retreat Affirmed “A Teacher Come From God”
A sure refresher as well as renewal was brought to about 82 Sunday School teachers from the Children’s Department last Friday, September 25 at the Jabez Recreation Camp Site in Dasmariñas, Cavite. Away from the usual urban setting, the teachers from Bed Babies, Cradle Roll, Nursery, Primary, and Juniors' Department were beneficially reminded of the reason, requisite and reformation necessary to be a teacher who has effectiveness, impact, and joy. All of which were anchored on the Scriptural passage John 3:2, “The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.”

Three sessions were strategically scheduled through the day. The first of which was given during early morning assembly at the CBBC Old Building 2nd Floor Hall, before the group trooped to the camp site. Preacher Jonah Raña, the Sunday School Superintendent for the Children’s Department presented the necessary spiritual and physical preparation that a teacher must do to be effective. This includes
his prayer time, Bible reading, and holy living. He also exhorted the attendees at midday on their impact to show the importance of influencing the lives of the students in a positive way. The concluding session at late afternoon delivered by Preacher Jay-Ar Daracan explained the things that make a teacher joyful and successful in his ministry. Likewise, teambuilding games
like “Spell Me,” “Remember Me,” “Into the Loop,” “Amos' Walk,” and “Song Dugtungan” were delightful icebreakers for each group of teachers to instill lightheartedness and fun between the sessions. The swimming pool was also opened late after lunch as an additional treat. May we continually uphold such trainings for teachers in constantly embracing learning as we teach our students for God's glory. 05
Kilala Ka Na Ba?
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Matamis isiping sinabi sa Matthew 6:1-4, “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hyprocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward... thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” PAGKILALANG MAY AKMANG PABUYA.

Mariing sinabi sa Colossians 3:2324 na, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord, ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
