To be put into the ministry by God Himself is a great blessing and a special privilege. Apostle Paul gratefully testified about such wondrous opportunity with this assertion in I Timothy 1:12, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” For us Christians who are sinners saved by grace, being a part of God’s ministry is one way by which we can present our “bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God” (Romans 12:1). This means that involving in the ministry which is a reasonable service we can offer to God must be self-denying, sacrificing, wholehearted, and committed. With that, we thank God for His unceasing call, challenge, and charge for us to be His ministers or His servants. He has ordained His church to be the means where we can minister. There are various avenues in the church where we can serve Him; and in our church, the different ministries that God has entrusted to us are always open to welcome everyone who is not just interested to serve, but who is committed to help. Actually, to be in God’s ministry, we must be sincerely willing to serve Him by helping others, but we must do so in accordance with His Word. This we can do by earnestly sharing salvation-

truth for the redemption of the lost, by diligently giving out Gospel tracts or by conscientiously inviting loved ones and friends to worship with us in spirit and in truth. We can also help by fervently praying, and by constantly supporting our church programs and projects for the glory of God. We should not miss the blessings promised, prepared and poured for God’s ministers. Let us then grab the opportunities to serve and treasure the privileges to be a blessing to others by helping them with love. Thus, we must always seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and never to forsake the house of God amidst problems, pain, and pressures in life. Furthermore, for our ministryinvolvement to be well-pleasing to the Lord, our confidence and trust in God and in His Word, His will, His wisdom, and in His work must be steadfast. By God’s grace, through His power, and for His honor, let us be the good ministers God wants us to be, who are “nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine” (I Timothy 4:6), and who are following “after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness” (I Timothy 6:11).

A true born-again believer in Christ will love to hear again God’s Word. II. God can put in the ministry every saint who has the guidance of conversation through the Church. A. The best guidance for a believer in Christ is through the Church. B. The best guiding authorities for the believer in Christ are from the Church. III. God can put in the ministry every servant who has a guarded commitment through Christ’s great Commission. A. We must all be involved in Christ’s great commission. B. CBBA-SPL Hosted Inter-School Sports Fellowship In response to the students' need for a sporting recreational activity and fellowship with our co-Christian Schools, Christian Bible Baptist Academy-San Pedro Laguna (CBBA-SPL) hosted a one-day Inter-School Sports Fellowship last Monday, October 12, in Muntinlupa Sports Complex. Gracing the event were three other Christian educational institutions: CBBA Los Ba単os, CBBA Tanza, and the School for the Deaf and Mute. The event began with an exhortation from the Word of God by Preacher Jay-Ar Daracan. Primarily aiming for godly Christian camaraderie and not competition, the sports fellowship encouraged the students to have good teamwork, display amiable spirit, and enjoy the event in a manner that is godly as godliness is profitable unto all things. The victors in each event were wellrepresented from each of the participating Schools but the major events of basketball and volleyball were led by the San Pedro Schools, CBBA and Deaf and Mute. Badminton, Table Tennis, and 100/200-dash were shared in equal winnings by CBBA-Los Ba単os and CBBA-SPL. Brainy board games were dominated by CBBA-SPL and CBBA Tanza

Hailed MVPs for Basketball were Martin Alenciaga (CBBA-Tanza, Elem) and Marlon Alzona (School for Deaf and Mute, Highschool), and Jewel Cabasug (CBBA-SPL, Highschool) and Shawie Buizon (CBBA-SPL, Elem) were named MVPs for Volleyball. Meanwhile, the cheering chants and moves by the CBBA-SPL and CBBATanza were refreshingly new, from which the Tanza team bagged the trophy. Praise the LORD for a very pleasant and eventful day of sporting fun.

Charles Francis Adams, the 19th century political figure and diplomat, kept a diary. One day he entered: "Went fishing with my son today--a day wasted." His son, Brook Adams, also kept a diary, which is still in existence. On that same day, Brook Adams made this entry: "Went fishing with my father--the most wonderful day of my life!" The father thought he was wasting his time while fishing with his son, but his son saw it as an investment of time. This case cites two different perspectives --- the minister said it was a waste of time, while the ministered said it was worth the time. The only way to tell the difference between wasting and investing is to know one's ultimate purpose in life. In executing the tasks, the question lies: “Did you do well?” In Genesis 4:7, God showed Cain the consequence of not doing well, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” God had respect to the offering of Abel, Cain’s younger brother. He offered a living sacrifice to God, the firstlings of the flock and the fat thereof, hence, he did well. Doing well produces a cheerful countenance. To Cain’s dismay in having his substance unacceptable to God, his countenance was fallen

and he was very wroth (Gen 4:6). God is surely blessed to see us maximize our resources that they may turn out to the best of our offering. Knowing that God is wellpleased with those shall make us, His servants, happy, too! It was not a waste for the woman to let go of the oil from the alabaster box and pour it on Jesus’ head. Jesus commended her in Mark 14:6, “she hath wrought a good work on me” and He even charged it for a great memorial of her. Doing well pulls us from comparison and competition. Consequently, Cain envied Abel which led him to murder his brother (Gen 4:8). It was a natural tendency for individuals who did not win the favors of their master or superior to be jealous of the preference granted to the favored ones. So us not to deal with this dangerous propensity, we ought to give our best. Let us do away with the idea of the apostles who had disputed among themselves

who should be the greatest. Jesus wants to develop in us a remarkable servant attitude as He said in Mark 9:35 “If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.” Doing well profits care and concern. “I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?” Quoted from Genesis 4:9, this is the line famed by Cain, when he neglected God’s question and denied his brother Abel. From not giving his best, Cain bred many iniquities which primarily affected his relationship with God and his family. Let us always remember what Proverbs 14:23a says, “In all labour there is profit.” A job well done always nourishes the working relationship between the servant and the master. They will both learn to do better and love the work including other people involved; thus, developing care and concern. Doing well is doing our best and it shall surely do us good, too. Let us always remember that our best is just good enough for God as he said in Romans 12: 1, “… that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Doing well in the ministry will merit our identification with Christ who first set an example by giving His life, His best, His all. 05

Saan Ka Ba Kabilang?

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” - Acts 4:13 May panunuyang tinanong ng ating Panginoong Hesus si Philip sa talata ng John 14:9, “...Have I been so long time with you, and yet has thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” Nakalulungkot na sa pagkakataong ito, isang disipulo pa ang nagsabi na, “...Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.” Kapamilya Ka Na. Pinatutunayan ng John 1:12 na, “But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name.” Gayundin, ginawa siyang tagapagmana ng isang eternal na regalong kailanman ay hindi na mapaparam ayon sa Romans 8:17, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Kasama Ka Na. Nabanggit ng ating pambansang bayaning si 06

Gat. Jose Rizal sa ilan sa kanyang mga akda na, 'Show me who your friends are and I will show you who you are.' Noong tayo ay naging kapamilya na ng Diyos, sinabi sa 2 Corinthians 5:17 na, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
