Pastor
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ fulfilled His mission to give Himself a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28 and Mark 10:45), as well as “to seek and to save that which is lost” (Luke 19:10). Along with such was the establishment of His church, which according to Matthew 16:18, is victorious over the gates of hell. We thank God for His accomplished mission that resulted in our salvation, which eventually led to our baptism, and then to our church involvement. Indeed, our Lord’s mission is the foundation of His Great Commission given to His church. As members of His church, we are tasked to accomplish His Great Commission expressed in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” The responsibility of fulfilling the Great Commission is not easy; but we take it as a blessed privilege because it is a heavenly undertaking mandated by our Supreme King. The challenge of fulfilling it is truly demanding; but we accept it because this is the will of God, and we know that we are not alone in this godly pursuit. We have the Lord Himself. Thus, as His church, we must be united in our efforts to do our best part in the evangelism of sinners, edification of the saints, and the exaltation of our Saviour. This is why we never fail to have our annual Missions Conference, which we consider as a major highlighted event in our church. Today’s Missions Conference is anchored on the theme, “Can’t you hear their cry?” based on Psalm 142:4, “… No man cared for my soul.” Being aware of the condemned people’s pitiful wailing and miserable lamentation, let us prayerfully listen to God as He speaks to us through His Word. By His grace, let us be ready with our obedient and optimistic response to the call, charge and command of God to hear the pleadings of the “untold millions around the world” who are ignorant about Christ.

May this Missions gathering be a venue for us to learn more on how we can effectively and productively advance the kingdom of God. With our Sunday School lessons’ emphasis this month that “God can use us to reach the world,” we are exhorted, encouraged, and equipped to participate in world missions. We should then see with the Lord’s vision the souls that are in need of the Gospel. We must likewise have His compassion for us to be moved to seek the lost. We ought to trust His provision so we can contribute generously for the spread, support and supply of mission works. For all that we have done and will be able to do for missions, we give God the glory. This Lord’s day, we come to Him with our hearts for missions and spirits for grateful worship, acknowledging that “Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary” Psalm 96:6.

CBBA Honor Students Joined Educational Field Trips In line with the Christian Bible Baptist Academy’s instructional program, the honor students for this second quarter of the Academic Year 2015-16 were given a much deserved incentive. They were allowed to enjoy a recreational and productive spatial activity through their educational field trips. About 32 students guided by 12 teachers trooped to two Recreational Theme Parks as a learning opportunity for formative and extracurricular activities last October 27, Tuesday, in Tagaytay City. The said trips afforded them a morning’s worth of exciting jolting rides, zip-lining, and strolling through the picturesque hills of Tagaytay Sky Ranch Fairgrounds. Meanwhile, the Pre-School and ABCs of ACE Learning Center pupils went to ParadiZoo.
We praise God for continually aiming that we strive for academic achievement while preserving biblical education within the curriculum. May the Lord be pleased with all our endeavors.

until
Samhain remained popular St. Patrick and other
Christian missionaries arrived in the area. As the population began to be converted to Christianity, the holiday began to lose its popularity. However, instead of eradicating pagan practices such
as “Halloween” or Samhain, the church used these holidays with a “Christian twist” to bring paganism and Christianity together, making it easier for local populations to be converted to the state religion.
Its Oppositions based on the Truth of the Bible: As saved, Bible-believing Baptist Christians, we have to make a stand against the celebration of Halloween because of its unbiblical and satanic essence. Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” We have to consider these questions and answer them according to the Scriptures: “Is Halloween based on godly themes such as peace, freedom and salvation?” “Does the holiday bring to mind feelings of fear, obsession and bondage?”
In short, does the celebration glorify God?

Mainit man at masikip ngunit mas mainit pa
The Bible makes it clear that these practices are an abomination to the Lord. The Bible goes on to say in Leviticus 20:27 that anyone who practiced witchcraft, soothsaying, sorcery should be killed. Deuteronomy 18:9-13 adds, "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch…For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and
because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”. Ephesians 5:11 asserts, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Knowing the facts about Halloween, its origins and what it stands for, we must never participate in its celebration. We must not support, patronize, or endorse it. We should not let our children enjoy it. God is calling us to follow Him and to "come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing” (2 Corinthians 6:17). May we as God’s people be not as the heathens do and be perfect as God is perfect.

Crying is a Sign of Life Crying is common in this world. With maturity, the sound and reason for crying changes, but never does it stop. A baby’s first cry acts as a kick-starter for his little lungs, as it helps him to get rid of any amniotic residue in the lungs and nasal passages. A good scream will allow the lungs to be filled up with air and for the very first time it will expand to its full capacity; hence, such cry is a sign of life. Meanwhile, as infants and children cry everywhere --- even in public, adults cry alone and in the dark. Their most common reason for crying is sadness, followed in rank by happiness, anger, sympathy, anxiety and fear; hence, by these emotions, crying becomes a sign of life. Laughter can be heard here and there, but weeping predominates. Let us hear the vast majority of people crying, see the vital signs of life in them, and so commit to respond actively to their pleas. The Cry of the Perishing Sinners. The weeping of the unbelieving populace in hell and in heathen regions tells us of their lives’ perils. The rich man in Luke 16:27-28 cried for help, “I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.” Just when you think that poverty eats up their future, think again… is it not the fires and worm that dieth not? Let us not allow lack of food and clothing hinder the children’s attendance to Sunday School. A piece of bread and a dress from an “ukay-ukay” may cost you a little amount, but for a girl you regularly fetch every 05
flow out of our lips that others may keep on and believe that by faithfulness, their house will also be saved as assured by Acts 16:31.
Sunday morning it may mean a world of difference in the years to come. The Cry of the Persecuted Saints. The sighing of the brethren in the midst of cultic beliefs and pagan nations tells us of their lives’ pursuits. According to the World Watch List of Open Doors USA, a non-profit organization focusing on serving persecuted Christians in over 60 countries in the world, North Korea is the most dangerous place to be a Christian. For 13 years, they put thousands of Bible believers in prison and slavery for not advocating “Kimilsungism,” the nation’s leading dynasty. However, those Christians continue to hold on to God’s promise in Matt 5:10, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” How blessed are we to live in country where there is religious freedom. The first generation Christians among us may suffer persecution from family, but let encouragement
The Cry of the Preaching Servants. The shout of the obedient children of God from every soulwinning church tells us of their lives’ purpose. John the Baptist as the voice crying in the wilderness lived a consecrated Nazarite life to fulfill his mission of preparing the people for the coming of the Messiah, “Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isa 40:3). When Jesus came, He continued proclaiming “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt 4:17). Beneath these words is the call to hasten for the time of salvation is now, like as one of the evangelistic songs says, “Hasten, then, ye soldiers of the cross, now His word obey… with the Gospel message, go without delay.” Henceforth, we should GO not grudgingly but cheerfully --realizing that this is our purpose: the Great Commission! For as long as we hear these cries, we hear life. It is not too late to share with them the hope, the help and the hour to see Jesus, the salvation and the transformation He brings.
While the world is busy celebrating the dead... CBBC is busy giving the Gospel of life to those who are dead in the land of the living.
What Is Wrong With Celebrating Halloween? Its Origins from the Fallacies of Paganism: The origin of Halloween began over 1900 years ago in the area of England, Ireland, and Northern France. It was a Celtic celebration of the new year, called Samhain which occurred on November 1. The Celtic Druids revered it as the biggest holiday of the year and emphasized that day as the time when the souls of the dead supposedly could mingle with the living. Bonfires were a large aspect of this holiday as well. The Druids believed that during the night of November 1, demons, witches, and evil spirits freely roamed the earth with joy to greet the arrival of "their season" - the long nights and early dark of the winter months. The demons had their fun with poor mortals that night, frightening, harming, and even playing all kinds of mean tricks on them. The only way, it seemed, for scared humans to escape the persecution of the demons was to offer them things they liked, especially fancy foods and sweets. In order to escape the fury of these horrible creatures, a human could disguise himself as one of them and join in their roaming. This way, they would recognize the human as a demon or witch and the human would not be bothered that night. In our day and age, this is the popular “Trick or Treat.” During the Roman Empire there was the custom of eating
or giving away fruit, especially apples, on Halloween. It spread to neighboring countries; to Ireland and Scotland from Britain, and to the Slavic countries from Austria. It is based upon a celebration of the Roman goddess Pomona, to whom gardens and orchards were dedicated. Since the annual Feast
of Pomona was held on November 1, the relics of that observance became part of the Halloween celebration, for instance the familiar tradition of "dunking" for apples. In our day and age, this is the popular “Jack O’ Lantern.” continued on page 07...

Ano Ang Plano Mo?
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men...For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."—1 Timothy 2:1-5.
Ayon sa Philippians 2:11, “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Sa gitna ng pag-uusig sa pangangaral ng Salita ng Diyos noong unang siglo, matapang na idineklara ni Apostol Pablo sa Acts 4:12 na, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Sabi ng Bibliya sa John 15:4, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
magdesisyon. Nawa tayo ay magpahayag ng Ebanghelyo para sa Kanyang nagbigay sa atin ng boses, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28a). But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
The Lord Can Use Us To Reach The World! Beata B. Agustin
The Lord can use us to reach the world thru our submission When we fully trust in Him, the Upholder of our secured salvation! Being His saints, we must patiently bear His marks of sacrifice-sincerity While sharing the Saviour’s love of grace-filled bounty And winning souls so they can be freed from sin’s penalty.
The Lord can use us to reach the world thru our prayer-fervency When we completely depend on Him, the Provider of our supplies midst needs’ urgency!
