from your Pastor “Thank you for giving to the Lord.” This theme of our recentlyconcluded Frontliners and Missions’ Conference has expressed clearly our hearts’ gratefulness to God and to those who are helping mission works. It has also resounded loudly our spirits’ cheerfulness in giving. “All glory be to God!” is what we can exclaim for the victory He has wrought in the mission-focused occasion we had just hosted that aimed to prioritize what is closest to God’s heart: keeping people out of hell. We are aware that mission work delights God; and we thank Him for enabling us as a church and as individual Christians to do our utmost part and give our all in the fulfilment of the Great Commission. Thank you, Church, for giving to the Lord because you love God. Thank you for being very supportive, participative and active in the work of the Lord. I commend you for allowing God to use you to become a blessing in our last week’s mission-gathering. You have once again shown your devotion to our God and commitment to our church’s heavenly endeavour through your labour of love along DR. ED M. LAURENA with your sacrifices, contributions and gifts for the missionaries, preachers and God’s workers who attended. As your Pastor, I am truly thankful to have you as my co-labourers in advancing God’s kingdom and as my faithful partners in the ministry. Together, by the grace, love, mercy, and power of the Lord, let us all continue abounding in the work of the Lord (I Corinthians 15:58). Truly, we thank and praise God for using our church to send-out, support, sustain and strengthen missionaries. We then must keep on trusting God, increasing our faith in Him while pursuing to accomplish more in praying and providing for, and in performing and participating in mission works for the glory of God. All these we can surely do if we first give ourselves to the Lord, by the will of God (II Corinthians 8:5).

FRONTLINERS’ CONFERENCE PRESENTS DIVIDED SESSIONS BY DESIGN

EEING THE VARYING needs of our church’s ministerial Frontliners in the Baptist Fundamental circles across the country, the Frontliners’ Conference also aimed to equip the servants during the morning and afternoon divided sessions. By design, sessions were divided to classes for Pastors/Preachers, Pastors/Preachers' Wives, Sunday School Teachers for Children, Sunday School Teachers for Young People and Adults, Music Ministers, and Ushers/Greeters. The emphasis for the Pastors and Preachers during the sessions were on “Things Learned During Conferences,” “Realities in the Ministry,” and “Growing our Members in our Pulpit” as respectively given out by Ptr. Flor Ventura, Ptr. Genesis Refugio, and Dr. Gil Laurena. Complementing those sessions, the dutiful wives were exhorted to fulfill spiritually their versatile roles as Helpmeet, Homemakers, and Mommies as was taught by Ma'am Norie Calicdan, Ma'am Hydie Refugio, and Ma'am Dhel Laurena. Likewise the Sunday School teachers for the children’s department to young people and adults were reminded of the primacy of teaching the next ministers with an unadulterated Biblical teaching

and doctrine outpouring from a heart that is truly yielded to Biblical authority. The music ministers were also wonderfully educated and enlightened about the dangers of diverting to modernistic syncopated sensual beats and rhythms. They were admonished to be mindful cautiously so as not to incorporate worldly ways with God’s music in the hope of attracting or impressing a crowd but should always aim for God’s glory and sanctification of His people. Likewise, the renewed team of Ushers and Greeters were given tools from God’s Word to set the mood and atmosphere of the congregation by creating early on at the start of each service an amiable, cheerful, and helpful atmosphere. Indeed, the lessons taught were generally caught and embraced by the ministers, frontliners and members. The gathering was also an opportune time for reunion, revival, and renewal to be more engaged and effective to carry out and proclaim the message of salvation to the nations.

CHOIR NG IBA’T-IBANG CBBC CHURCHES AT MISSIONS: NAGTANGHAL SA MISSIONS’ CONFERENCE

P

It’s Not in Vain.” Sinundan nito ng marubdob na pag-awit ng choir ng CBBC-Dagupan ng “Hear Their Cry at So Many People to Win.” Napakamaluwalhating “Hold Up the Light” naman ang idiniin ng Choir ng CBBC-Fort Bonifacio. Bago mangaral ang ating Pastor, inawit nang may sigasig ang “I Cheer You On.” Cruz. Muli ay itinaguyod tayong makinig ng Salita ng Diyos habang inaawit ng CBBC Men’s Quartet ang “Faithful in the Ministry.” Kinagabihan, pinukaw tayo ng ating Junior Choir sa kanilang medley na “I Want to be a Missionary.”

To the Ends of the Earth.” Sing unto the LORD a new song’ and his praise in the congregation of saints.”

PANGANGARAL NG SALITA NG DIYOS: BINIGYANGDIIN SA MISSIONS’ CONFERENCE

N

Hinikayat niya ang simbahang patuloy na magbigay para sa gawain dahil katulad ng sinabi sa Matthew 26:13 na “Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.” “For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living (Mark 12:44).” Malinaw na naunawaan ng lahat na “There is No Poor in Giving.”

Aniya, “Money is what money represents.”

THE BLESSINGS OF DISCIPLESHIP

A

THE MAN WHO HONORS THE ORDER

T

Proverbs 21:5

HE AUTHORITY OF the local church rests in her Head, Jesus Christ (Eph 5:23). Henceforth, it is not us we but He who builds and multiplies the church, as He said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18).” However, it is undeniable that under this power is the overseeing function of the church pastor who is known to be the under shepherd. A biblical pastor under Christ initiates the work planned by the Head. He leads the church in recognizing the need for preaching the Word to the lost. His sermons always contain the Gospel, hence assuring that all guests would be led to the sinner’s prayer and that members, on the other hand, would respond to the challenge of committing their efforts to the Lord for the advancement of His work. He freely accepts the charge of the Great Commission which is not limited to the nearby cities only but also unto the uttermost parts of the earth (Acts 1:8). A biblical pastor understands the value of training leaders who will be sent out to extend God’s love to unreached places all over the world. A wise pastor does not keep all his best men, and send the rest. Rather, he continually gives attention in equipping leaders while realizing God’s hands working in their lives as faithful men who will soon multiply themselves in the mission field. He does not think of losing able men, but understands that God surely “would send forth labourers into his harvest, (Luke 10:2).” A biblical pastor undertakes the responsibility of guiding freshly starting missionaries. He keeps purity in his motives and does not try to send out men to many too soon, and then boast in his “church-planting or mission-minded efforts.” He holds the character and commitment until he sees how mightily God can give the increase to such work. We can now see how blessed we are to have a pastor whose heart beats for God and for whom God loves. The thoughts of our diligent pastor are always toward keeping people out of hell, thereby inviting us to greater rewards for eternity. His efforts in honoring the order in mission and church planting covet our continued support through prayers, ministry-involvement and faithful giving… all for God’s glory!

THE MISSION SENDING AUTHORITY “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits.” -Mark 6:7 “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” -Matthew 10:1

T

HESE TWO PARALLEL verses account for the men that had been for some time called by the grace of God, and were already the disciples of Christ. They were more familiar and intimate with Him, than the others who were also called disciples. They had sat down at His feet and had received His very words. They had heard His doctrines and had seen His very miracles. Jesus Himself trained them up for public ministerial work but had not yet called and sent them forth to enter on such service. Then when all things were ready, and they being properly instructed, and likewise the time for the conversion of a large number of souls was determined, He called them together privately. He gave them a commission to go preach the Gospel and ordained them ministers of the Word. He installed them into the office of an Undershepherd. There were undeniable and unbroken truths here that cannot be altered by the current modernistic and haphazard ways of church planting. Christianity is founded on the Person of Christ and must therefore follow the Precepts He has instituted for Authority to be attained.

A

UTHORITY SIGNIFIES A DEFINED PATH. Jesus Himself has trodden a path that was set before Him by the Father, as asserted by Matthew 3:3 “For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” Dwight L. Moody was quoted saying this, “The tendency of the world is down – God’s path is up.” Jesus assures us of a proven path of certainty, a certainty that the results will be according to God's doing.

A

UTHORITY SIGNIFIES A DESIGNATED POWER. All others do not assure a power as potent as God does. There is a tremendous working of the Holy Spirit when we do things God's way. The Book of Acts evidences the events transpiring to the conversion of a multitude of personalities that otherwise would not have accepted Christ if the Holy Spirit’s power is not at work. We must ascribe this working power to the fact that the disciples were sent and ordained...thus, there was that authority which signified a designated power as 1 Corinthians 1:24 affirms, “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”

A

UTHORITY SIGNIFIES A PRAISE. Titus was burdened for the people of Macedonia and was found worthy to be a partner and fellowlabourer of the Gospel. He then endeavored to be the messenger of that locality having been sent by his mother church as attested in 2 Corinthians 8:16-17 “But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. For indeed he accepted the exhortation, but being more forward, of his own accord he went in unto you,” and so it resulted to the praise of God in verse 18 “...And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches.” Authority signifies a praise to God that is unparalleled by its opposition. Since we know that the mission of God is ultimately the redemption of His whole creation and the extension of the knowledge of His glory to the ends of the Earth, the fact that God chooses human agents through the authority of a genuine New Testament Church to send and to use in accomplishing this mission is of great significance. To belong to God's church family is providing a reservoir of those whom God can send...either through us or by us. Let us promote the sending authority of the Church.

4. Ibahagi sa iba si Kristo Hesus.
