"I MUST ALWAYS BE REMINDED OF THE REASONS WHY I SHOULD INVOLVE."

PURPOSE OF INVOLVEMENT

Blessings are just always abounding in God’s work, as He has promised. Once you involve yourself, and see His grace on how He can use you, you will surely experience joy and satisfaction. Actually, one of involvement’s greatest blessings is that you will see how God works and changes you to become a better Christian while you are busy working for Him. Growth will not just come through listening, but much more through serving and doing what He is teaching us through His word. God is not really looking for perfect people to do His work, but for limited people who want the perfect God to do a work in them. Before we finish this year, let us humbly involve ourselves and be sensitive on how He is working in us while He works through us! Philippians 1:6 is indeed true; “…He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” While we serve God, let us allow God to keep on working in us! Have a great Sunday!

We only have 4 Sundays to go before our scheduled family camp. Since we have a goal to avail of the exclusivity of the Rizal Re-creation Center, we are all enjoined to pay our camp fee at the earliest possible time. Payments may be given to Sis. Bajo Tolentino at the ushers’ table after the evening service.

GOD-GRANTED FREEDOM AT WORK IN CIW OUTREACH-MINISTRY Gospel tracts, preaching/music CDs & Sunday School/Discipleship lessons are available @ the ushers' table after the service.

HE Gospel of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ truly grants genuine freedom from the penalty of sins. Such is affirmed and attested by the Bible, and are testified and taught by our brethren who are involved in our CIW outreach-ministry. That is also experienced and enjoyed by our sisters in the CIW who have received full pardon from the Lord and are now living with divine liberty through the Holy Spirit. The Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City is the confinement compound for ladies who are pronounced guilty beyond reasonable doubt by the courts. God be praised and thanked that by His grace, mercy, and power, He opened the doors for the Gospel to penetrate into the said institution for women-prisoners to get saved, be converted, and grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That was how the CBBC-CIW outreach-ministry started several years ago. Just last Wednesday afternoon, a batch of eleven inmates got promoted in their first to fourth discipleship program, with Preacher Emmanuel Villarosa as the guest speaker. Percentage-wise, our sisters in the CIW are few, yet they are resolved in being steadfast in their commitment to serve the Almighty God. They are using their God-given freedom in doing God’s will, by attending Bible studies, visiting the sick in the CIW infirmary, soul-winning, and fellowshipping with each other while being led by Sis. Phoebe Astudillo. They testify that they have found real peace and contentment in the Lord despite the trials they are striving to overcome like the feelings of loneliness and

hurts of being discriminated and deprived of loved ones’ visits. They also say that they are trying their best to perform their jail chores after having their morning devotions. Others declare that they are fervently seeking God’s intervention in their quest for justice. Presently, the CIW outreach-ministry is handled by Bro. Rodel Pagkatipunan. His wife, Sis. Ermalyn, together with Sis. Marlyn Añora assist in the regular Bible study every second Wednesday and fourth Tuesday of the month. Let us continually support and pray for this outreachministry, especially in the celebration of its 8th year anniversary this December, for souls to be evangelized, saints to be edified, and the Saviour to be exalted.

old is one of the most valuable materials on earth. It has been used for centuries as money, but it also has many uses in industry, manufacturing, and even space flight. One of the traits that makes gold so useful is that it can be shaped and formed so easily. In fact, a single ounce of gold can be flattened out to cover three hundred square feet. But gold ore dug out of the ground contains many other elements that must be removed prior to the gold being useful. The refining process for gold involves intense heat. Gold melts at a temperature of almost two thousand degrees Fahrenheit. That incredibly high temperature is required for gold to be ready to be used. The Christian life involves much the same process. The Scripture tells us that fiery trials are part of God’s refining process for our lives. Job 23:10 "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." Rather than griping or complaining when trials come, we should rejoice as we think of the end result they will produce.

I

n the 1800s, a group of women met to study the Bible in Dublin. They were puzzled by the words of Malachi 3:3, “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” One of the ladies promised to call on a silversmith and report to them what he said on the subject. She went accordingly and without telling the object of her errand begged to know the process of refining silver which he fully described to her. “But Sir.” said she, “Do you sit while the work of refining is going on?” “Oh yes, Madam,” replied the silversmith, “I must sit with my eye steadily fixed on the furnace. For if the time necessary for refining be exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver is sure to be injured.” At once she saw the beauty and comfort of the expression, “He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” Christ sees it needful to put His children into the furnace, but He is seated by the side of it. His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for His children. Their trials do not come at random. As the lady was leaving the shop the silversmith called her back and said he had still further to mention that he only knew when the process of purifying was complete by seeing his own image reflected in the silver. When Christ’s image is reflected in us His work of purifying is accomplished.

Midst limitations against poverty’s depriving So we can work in His ministry with His bountiful provision-thriving. God is indeed perfecting our commitment-steadfastness Thru His might that perfoms in our spirit’s willingness Midst challenges exposing every weakness So we can rely in His guidance with His ready helpfulness. God is indeed perfecting our service-victory Thru His triumph that proclaims our praise-thanksgiving’s story Midst battles upon sin-territory So we can feast in His righteousness with His honor-splendid glory.

As D. L. Moody walked down a Chicago street one day, he walked up to a man and asked him if he were a Christian. The fellow raised his fists and angrily exclaimed, “You mind your own business!” “This is my business,” replied Moody. “Well, then, you must be Moody,” the man responded. Ephesians 2:10 says we are, “created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” There are works that God has planned for you to accomplish today—witnessing, giving, encouraging, loving—and it is vitally important that you are busy doing God’s work while there is still time.
