outline Victorious Christian Living

(Fight for the Will of God) Rom. 12:2 / 2 Cor. 8:5 / Eph. 6:6

II. Believers in Christ must decide to persist inside God’s will in their lives. A. God’s enlisted soldiers must persist in the fight for the will of God even if they outnumbered. B. God’s enjoined soldiers must persevere in the fight for the will of God even if they are outmaneuvered.

If there be any one point in which the Christian church ought to keep its fervor at a white heat, it is concerning missions. If there be anything about which we cannot tolerate lukewarmness, it is in the matter of sending the gospel to a dying world.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

III. Believers in Christ must delight themselves in performing God’s will in their lives. A. Doing and fighting for God’s will must be the excitement of every believer in Christ. B. Dying and fighting for God’s will must be the enjoyment of every believer in Christ.

A good pilot must have a healthy fear of gravity. This respect is not in the conscious mind of most pilots, but it forms the foundation of everything they do. When a headstrong pilot comes up against gravity, gravity will win—no matter how strongly the pilot opposes it. A pilot who does not respect gravity is not around to tell us about it. In a sense, this healthy respect of gravity is similar to our living in submission to God’s sovereign will. Ultimately, whether or not we choose to accept it, God’s will wins out.

DR. ED M. LAURENA

I. Believers in Christ must desire to pursue God’s will in their lives. A. Fighting for God’s will must start with the desire in the heart. B. Fighting for God’s will must stay as a desire in the heart of the believer in Christ.

S SOLDIERS OF CHRIST, we are expected to fight a spiritual battle that is “not against flesh and blood,” but for an eternal, heavenly cause. It is a battle that calls for our determination to be used and be a witness for God. However, since we live in a sinful world, and because our adversary, Satan, always aims to defeat every believer, such battle would never come easy. Hence, we must have a strong conviction to obey God. We should desire to be victorious Christians. We ought to hunger for God’s Word and seek to do His will in our lives. Our Missions Conference is just a week ahead of us. I believe that it is God’s will for every member of our church to be faithful in supporting this event. Besides our church anniversary, this annual conference is a highlighted occasion of the church. This would be a great opportunity for us to meet visiting pastors and missionaries whom we support financially and a great time for us to be revived and reminded about our individual responsibility to reach the world with the Gospel. Enlist yourself in a 10-minute daily prayer just for the conference. As your pastor, I am praying that you will be present in all services from November 29 – December 1. God will certainly bless you. Please pray for me as I am invited to speak for the Anniversary of the church under Pastor Flor Ventura in Laoag. I thank God that He is still working in our hearts, and I am sure that He will do it again today. Let us have a Spirit-filled Sunday!

Our committed 10-minute daily prayer schedule for the Missions Conference will start tomorrow until December 1. Pray specifically for the following: • Holy Spirit empowerment • safe travel of the delegates • good weather condition • financial needs • cooperation of every member • registration team • kitchen crew • audio & special numbers • surrendered lives • great impact upon participating churches

by Sis. Beata Agustin Let us go to the mission field, preaching the Gospel to the lost! As God’s saints washed by Christ’s blood of precious cost We must tell His story anchored upon His truth’s post Surely fighting false hopes and doubtful promises of religious host In convincing sinners to believe that Jesus saves to the uttermost. Let us go to the mission field, treading along the King’s heavenly way! As God’s converts enlightened by His grace-filled ray We must trust in the Holy Spirit’s promptings while we pray Surely fighting disobedience shouting nay In guiding the blind to eternal blessings’ sight without delay. Let us go to the mission field, toiling for the Lord! As God’s workers strengthened to live by His Word We must sacrifice while giving our all for His glory’s record Surely fighting cravings of carnality with divine sword In nourishing the needy out from spiritual poverty’s ford. Let us go to the mission field, fulfilling the great commission! As God’s body mandated by His authority’s exhortation We must obey Him with our sincerity and devotion Surely fighting weakness of conviction In building churches standing upon firm foundation. Let us go to the mission field, labouring in the vineyard of great harvest! As God’s servants, ordained to reap souls won midst sowing test We must support His ministries with our resources’ best Surely fighting laxity in standard around compromises’ rest In discipling young Christians for faith-strengthening zest. Let us go to the mission field, pointing the direction of righteousness! As God’s witnesses called to shine by His holiness We must walk thru His power in our faithfulness Surely fighting fruitlessness caused by worldliness In building lives for deeds of goodness. Let us go to the mission field, advancing God’s kingdom! As God’s soldiers trained with His sword of wisdom We must fight the enemies of biblical freedom Surely fighting pride rising for selfish stardom In guarding brethren against counterfeit Christendom.

,

Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

,

There are no disappointments to those whose wills are buried in the will of God.

I find doing the will of God leaves me no time for disputing about his plans. To will the will of God in himself and for himself and concerning himself is the highest possible condition of a man.

,

In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be, wrong. God cannot be for and against the same thing at the same time.

,

We need to remember that we cannot train ourselves to be Christians; we cannot discipline ourselves to be saints; we cannot bend ourselves to the will of God: we have to be broken to the will of God.

,

Every true prayer has its background and its foreground. The foreground of prayer is the intense, immediate desire for a certain blessing which seems to be absolutely necessary for the soul to have; the background of prayer is the quiet, earnest desire that the will of God, whatever it may be, should be done. What a picture is the perfect prayer of Jesus in Gethsemane! In front burns the strong desire to escape being sin for us; but behind there stands, calm and strong, the craving of the whole life for the doing of the will of God.

4. Ibahagi sa iba si Kristo Hesus.
