G
lory be to God for the wonderful year that He has given to the Christian Bible Baptist Church despite the devastation and flood brought by typhoons Ondoy, Pepeng and Santi that affected the area of San Pedro, Laguna last September and October. Amidst the storm, the Lord allowed us to help the victims by sharing with them the Gospel, giving food and beddings to them, and distributing relief goods for their survival. As a result, hundreds of souls got saved and 93 followed in water baptism. Meanwhile, we held our 30th Annual Missions Conference last November 1-4, 2009 with the theme “Across the Street and Around the World.” Eight blessed missionaries, six local and two foreign, were presented to the Church members who expressed their support by giving them what they need in the mission field. Also, the “Bertha E. Clayton Clinic” with the help of Dr. Larry Clayton was opened during the conference and the first patient to receive dental treatment was Dr. Larry Clayton himself, and was followed by Dr. Ed Laurena. Last November 30 to December 1, 2009, the Annual Baptist Ladies Conference was held in CBBC San Pedro which was hosted by CBBC Los Baños. “Being beautiful for God” was the theme and many ladies from high school to adult departments were blessed. Bro. Ryan Porcioncula and his wife moved to Noveleta, Cavite last October 20, 2009 and started the house-to-house visitation and door-knocking soul winning. As of now, God gave them 696 souls won, 10 Bible studies and 2 good news classes. They started their first Sunday Service on December 6, 2009, and by God’s grace, they had 30 in attendance with 18 young people and adults and 12 children. Praise be to God that there were two converts who were baptized. They also started their midweek service and Sunday afternoon service. Please continue to pray for this couple to be mightily used of God in the mission field. On the other hand, our Mission work in Lipa City, Batangas, that is led by Bro. Boyet de Leon celebrated their first anniversary last December 6, 2006. The Lord entrusted to them 119 people in attendance including 77 first time visitors. Our orphanage is blessed with a new baby who had been voluntarily surrendered to our care last December 23, 2009. Please pray for his growth and development because he has been diagnosed to have developmental delays and is suspected cerebral palsy. He is now undergoing therapy for his head and muscle control. Also, pray for financial provision for his medication and therapy. We praise God for all the great works that He has done to us this 2009. We likewise thank you for being a partner with us especially in our men’s dormitory project in which the Lord has provided us the amount of 10, 000.00 dollars . We need more 15, 000.00 dollars so we can start the said project as soon as possible for the next school year. Thank you so much for helping us for the fulfillment of God’s vision. We ask your prayer for the following: our on-going two services in the morning, our financial need for church planting, and our 31st Anniversary on February 2010, a one month long church celebration.●
