SITE IS SURROUNDED BY ROAD FROM ALL SIDES AND THERE IS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF RESIDENTIAL AREAS WITH MOST LY MIG HOUSING WHICH SURROUNDS THE DISTRICT CENTRE. THE DISTRICT CENTRE WILL NOT ONLY PROMOTE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, HUMANITIES, AND COMMERCE BUT ALSO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT AND IMPROVE THE ECONOMY OF THE REGION.

TO HAVE A STATE-OF-ART HIGH-RISE OFFICE BUILDING FOR SURAT MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, WHICH SETS GLOBAL BENCHMARK IN SMART APPROACH TOWARDS CREATING EFFICIENT, ECOLOGICALLY RESPONSIBLE, HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL, USER FRIENDLY, AND BUILT-TOLAST PLACE FOR WORK.. IT SHALL STRIVE TO BECOME A LANDMARK THAT THE CITIZENS OF SURAT COULD RELATE TO AND BE PROUD OF.

ABOUT 4,000 TO 5,000 PEOPLE ARE EXPECTED TO VISIT EVERYDAY. SO MANAGING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC, PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AND SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS SHALL BE PRIME IMPORTANCE. ITS VERY CRITICAL TO HAVE APPROPRIATE SEGREGATIONS IN MOVEMENT PATTERN SUCH THAT IT IS MADE AS SIMPLE AND AS FAST. SUCH MAMMOTH PROJECTS OF NEARLY 16 LAKH SQUARE FEET ARE ENERGY GUZZLERS AND HUGE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO DESIGN CAREFULLY OPTIMISING THE CAPITAL EXPENSE ON ONE END AND KEEPING THE OPERATIONAL COST TO THE MINIMUM. ENERGY SAVING AND GENERATION: BUILDING ENVELOPE MATERIALITY

PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO DAYLIGHTING WHILE DESIGNING THIS BUILDING TO MAXIMIZE VISUAL COMFORT AND REDUCE ENERGY USE. USE OF GLAZING WITH HIGH VLT OF 45% AND WALL/FACADE MOUNTED SOLAR LIGHT PIPES ON EAST - WEST FACADE WOULD ILLUMINATE THE ENTIRE INTERIOR SPACE WITH LUX LEVEL OF AT LEAST 300.

INDIAN CITIES ARE UNDERGOING URBAN SKYLINE TRANSFORMATION WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF METRO TRANSPORTATION NODE. PROVIDING OF ADOPTABLE AND FLEXIBLE SPACES IN THE METRO STATION THAT WILL SERVES AS A LINK BETWEEN THE COMMUTERS AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD.

PROJECT’S INTENT IS TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SPACES AND HOW SURROUNDINGS PLAYS IMPORTANT ROLE IN BUILDING DESIGN. UNDERSTANDING THE RELATIONSHIP OF HUMAN SCALE, ACTIVITY, SPACE AND FORM IN MONO-FUNCTIONAL BUILDINGS.
CONCEPT IS TAKEN FROM THE NATURAL ELEMENT WHICH IS “TRIFOLIATED LEAF‘ WHICH HAS THREE PARTS. BUILDING ON HILLY SITE INCREASES THE VIEWING ENVELOPS GREATLY AND USUALLY RESULTS IN FORM ORIENTED DESIGN WHICH ARE IN HARMONY WITH ENVIRONMENT AND NATURE.
