The Alliance Française de Melbourne (AFM) is an Australian not-for-profit language and cultural association which has been promoting Franco-Australian exchange since 1890. Our mission is to spread the French language and culture beyond the borders of France. We are one of 968 Alliances françaises existing in 136 countries all over the world. The premier language school for French in Victoria, with more than 2,000 students enrolled each year, we provide a large variety of courses for adults, high school students and children from 3 years old! Situated in the heart of St Kilda, in the superb Victorian-era Eildon Mansion, we are also a vibrant cultural centre that offers a rich program of activities and exhibitions throughout the year.
