Event Report for AIESEC Chandigarh’s


Global Entrepreneurs Program: Campaign Concept Ø An initiative by AIESEC in India to provide the youth a unique combination of multi-cultural entrepreneurial, social and leadership experience. Ø Aims to build young leaders who can make a positive impact on society. Youth would go and work abroad on a host of social issues ranging from Youth Entrepreneurship, HIV/AIDS, business models on sustainability, development studies, human rights for ethnic groups, Cultural Education,, Education, Environment, and all those on which AIESEC and its partners are working on. Ø It would equip the youth with quality such as leadership, entrepreneurship, team work, management, finances, communication skills, event management, client servicing and the most important the vision to make positive impact on society. All in all, a golden opportunity for youth to develop themselves and be one step ahead of their peers. Ø This is done through global exchange/internships. The internship would be of a minimum duration of 6 weeks. Ø The campaign is initiated through an event . The Objectives of the Event Ø To involve the youth in a multi-cultural event. Ø

To make them realize the importance of Entrepreneurship

To create a truly global environment within Chandigarh

Create a sense of Global Team Management through Activities and Competition.

GEP EVENT The event was held on 15th Feb 2009 at Tagore theatre from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 300 students from different colleges in and around the city were present there. The main objective of the event i.e. awareness amongst youth on social issues, team experience and culture and the importance of Global Entrepreneurs Program was achieved. There were two external sessions: one was taken by Kotak Bank on leadership and the other one by our Platinum Partner- University of Fraser valley.

Fund-Raising for the event A total of Rs.1,03,000 was raised for the event. The Products were sold to 1 Platinum Partner(Rs.30,000), 2 Gold Partners(Rs.20,000) and 3 Silver Partners(Rs.10,000). The exact pricing details have been shown in the Budget.
