AIESEC Youth to Business Forum The event was held on 20th November 2009 at CII Northern Region Headquarters in Sector 31-A, Chandigarh from 7:00 pm till 9:30 pm. 50 partners, international AIESEC Interns and around 100 AIESEC members and youth from different organizations were present there. Youth to business forum served as a unique meeting point for youth from around the city and leading organizations of Chandigarh. Main objective of the event was to sensitize the youth on importance of leadership and entrepreneurship in present scenario. The objective of the event was achieved with the help of panel discussions from Youth for Leadership and Entrepreneurship which helped in sensitizing the on the need of leadership and entrepreneurship in today’s world. There was one external session by Dr. BS Sohi, Campus Director representing our Title Partner Surya World.

Panel Discussion on Youth for Leadership Mr. Pancham Prashar -Co Founder, Cue Blocks Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Pancham has been actively involved with the web and Internet Marketing since 2001. With a rich background in Internet & Search Marketing, he has a keen understanding of how various promotion techniques can be effectively utilized by online businesses. He is also serving on the Board of Advisers of AIESEC in Chandigarh. Mr. Rahulinder Singh Sidhu-Chairman & M.D. Rahul Sidhu Group Mr Rahulinder Singh Sidhu is M.L.A. in Punjab state assembly and chairman of Rahul Sidhu Group. Rahul Sidhu Group is the outcome of Mr. Rahulinder Singh Sidhu`s dream of bringing about a revolution in the business sector in India that aims at providing solutions to all business problems and requirements. It was with this belief that Rahul Sidhu Group began laying its foundation in 2005 at Chandigarh .In the first half of 2005, The Orange Pages was launched by the group as one of the most successful Classified Business Directories in the North Indian region. Ms. Reka Nagy-AIESEC Intern from Hungary Reka graduated in 2008. Reka has Bsc. in Business & Marketing at Canterbury University, UK. She wants to do a PHD in Marketing with research and consumer behavior in emerging markets. She has been working at Elemention Health and Sport Pvt Ltd since past 4 months and doing marketing for their gym. Apart from this she is a good photographer. Dr. S Marriya-Member Director- Surya World Dr. S Marriya is Ex. Principal of DAV College, Sector-10 Chandigarh. DAVE college got A+ rating by NAAC of University Grants Commison. It was the only college in the city to have got the A+ Rating by NAAC. DAV College was ranked 18th out of 25000 colleges nationwide. He was awarded as the best Principal of all principals of 700 DAV colleges all over the country, by Late Mr. Sunil Dutt- Minister of sports and youth welfare department. Government f India.

Moderated by Mr Vikram Jain-President, AIESEC Chandigarh Vikram Jain is President of AIESEC in Chandigarh. He joined AIESEC in the year 2006 and has been the Vice President of Corporate Sector in the year 2007 and 2008. Under his leadership, AIESEC Chandigarh has shown immense growth in each portfolio. He did his graduation from SD College, Chandigarh in Bachelors of Commerce stream.

Panel Discussion on Entrepreneurship by TiE Mrs. Anupama Arya -Co-founder, Mobera Systems Anupama is a serial entrepreneur, business executive, technologist, angel investor and mentor. Anupama has led many lives and has been an entrepreneur in both India and US; an investor in business enterprises in India, US and Europe; has led and participated in transforming innovation; and is an entrepreneurship mentor to students, professionals and early stage entrepreneurs. Anupama is an Aspen Fellow, the recipient of the Rotary International Young Achievers Award; Athena India Leadership Awards; “Award for Excellence - Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2007-08” by Software Technology Parks of India, Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. Mr. Anuj Aggarwal -Chairman & M.D. Alturist Technologies Anuj co-founded Altruist Technologies in 2005, and has charted its path from a home – based startup with no manpower to a leading mobile social networking service provider having an engaged subscriber base of over 6 million paying users generating more than 50 million minutes every month, making it the largest mobile centric community not just in India but across the world. The company now has 13 offices with a 225 - strong team in India and a remarkable presence in the international market.

Mr. Harshvir Singh Jaswal-Managing Director, Drish Infotech Limited Harshvir has 19 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. He started his career with Punjab Tractors Limited, in 1990 in the IT department as a Systems Analyst. He was entrusted the task of planning the IT venture of the Chairman of Drish Shoes , Mr. IS Paul. He got together a team of seasoned professionals as Directors of the new Company and took extensive trips across India to plan the focus areas of the company, which started 0perations in March 1999. Moderated by Mr.Dinker Vashisht-Special Correspondent, The Indian Express Special Correspondent, The Indian Express. Dinker has been working as a roving correspondent for the Indian Express. His primary job is to find stories with a national appeal from the region. As a part of his job, he has traveled extensively in eight states of India. He has reported on sports, politics, society, administration, economy, environment and corporate affairs. Prior to the Indian Express, Dinker worked with the Economic Times, Bennett and Coleman Group.
