ABOUT INDONESIA
As the world’s largest archipelago, Indonesia is one country that will leave you with endless wonders. From traditional batik handiworks to a variety of delicious makanan (food), it is also a home of the world’s largest Buddhist temple. What’s more is that it is a multi-religion country where you can casually see church and mosque side by side.
INDONESIAN CUISINE
Indonesian cuisine is one of the most vibrant and colourful cuisines in the world, full of intense flavours, influenced by more than 300 ethnic groups. From sweet Javanese cuisine to spicy Manado cuisines, your choices are unlimited. Don’t forget the most delicious dishes Rendang and Nasi Goreng that captures the heart of everyone in the world!
CULTURAL IDENTITY
We call know about famous batik from Indonesia but did you know that each batik pattern has beautiful, historical meaning that can only be used for specific occasions? When you are in Indonesia, don’t forget to ask about dangdut which is a genre of Indonesian folk and traditional popular music that will keep you joget (dancing).
