FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What can I gain from being a Global Volunteer? Apart from having it added on your resume as a leadership experience, you will also be developing yourself in your own interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. This development varies from one person to another and you just have to experience it yourself to find out more! Why do I need to buy insurance? This is to ensure everything is covered while you are out in a different country away from your family to ensure the safety of your belongings and yourself. It’s better safe than sorry. Can I go with my friends together? You can apply for same projects or same country with your friends but we cannot 100% guarantee you will go onto the same projects since the decision is made by the project host overseas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Are food and accommodation provided? Provision of food and accommodation depends on which project you choose. Some projects provide you with free food and accommodation but some requires you to cover your own so apply now before the positions are filled! Will it only be Cambodians in the project(s)? Each project will have participants from various country and cultural backgrounds and hence, each project will have limited positions to ensure country diversity. If you see the project you are interested, apply fast before anyone does! Will there be any support during my exchange experience? You will have assigned local exchange manager as well as exchange support from overseas before, during and after your exchange experience.
