Welcome Dear MCPs, AIESEC in Romania is more than excited to welcome you to International Presidents Meeting 2018! We are waiting for you to join us in Bucharest in February, our charming capital, where you will have the chance to find out for yourself if the rumours about our hospitality are true and also to explore and enjoy our culture, the traditional food, the diverse scenery and last but not least, the legends (spoiler alert - you don’t need to bring garlic with you for the vampires, we have more than enough). This booklet includes all the information you need in order to apply for the conference, for VISA if needed and to plan your next adventure - a journey to Romania. Romania is part of the European Union since 2007, third-state nationals may enter Romania if they are in possession of a valid travel document and a VISA (if required).


VISA Info When crossing the border, third-state nationals¹ must justify the purpose and the conditions of the intended stay and prove that they have sufficient means of subsistence² , both for the period of stay and for the return to the country of origin or transit to a third state into which they are certain to be admitted, or are in a position to acquire such means lawfully. Moreover, they must not be listed as persons who have been not registered

in the National Schengen Information System (N.SIS) with alerts regarding the refusal of entry on the territory of Romania, they are not registered in the Schengen Information System (SIS) with alerts regarding the refusal of entry, have not previously misused the purpose of your stay in Romania, as granted through a previous visa, or have not attempted to cross the Romanian border with falsified documents, do not represent a hazard to national security, order or health.

VISA Info Regardless if you require visa or not, you must carry with you: - A valid travel documentÂł; - An invitation letter; - A document confirming that you paid/ will pay conference fees for your entity; - A proof that you have enough money for the intended stay; - A copy of a return ticket or a proof that you have enough money to return to your country;

Travel/ Health insurance; Documents that justify the purpose of the trip, the conditions of stay and that probe the existence of appropriate means of support for the entire period of stay, as well as for the return to the country of origin. ÂłThat is valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure and is acquired in the last 10 years.

Be mindful that the CC is not responsible for VISA approval. We are here to provide the necessary documents on time and support, but we are not responsible for your VISA application.


Citizens of all countries, except those from VISA- exempt countries listed, have to apply for short-stay C/ ZA VISA. Learn how to apply here.

Required documents: A Valid travel document: A valid travel document accepted by Romania, on which a visa can be affixed. The validity of the travel document must exceed the validity of the visa you apply for, by at least 3 months, and must have been issued no later than 10 years ago. Photographs: Two recent 3 x 4 cm coloured photographs 4 Accommodation: Voucher or firm reservation with a tourist accommodation unit

VISA Info Proof of itinerary: Itinerary of the trip, should more than one entry be requested Invitation letter Travel medical insurance: Travel medical insurance that covers the entire duration of the requested period of stay Means of support: Proof of financial means in the amount of 50 euro/ day for the entire period, but not less than 500 EUR or the equivalent in convertible currency. Visa applicants who make the proof of an anticipated and whole payment of tourist package services as regards at least accommodation and nourishment are exempt from submitting the proof of financial means of support.

CANCELLATION FEE: Free of charge: until the 25/Jan 200 Euro: between 26-31/Jan Full delegate fee: after the 1/Feb POLICY PAYMENT: The conference fee will be paid in LEI* All details of payment policy will be sent directly to you via email. MC that did not inform CC about the desire to pay by cash (on-site in LEI) will be asked to make a transfer within 7 days from the day the invoice is given. *1 euro = 4,80 lei

Get to Know Romania Romania is a southeastern European country known for the forested region of Transylvania, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. Its preserved medieval towns include SighiĹ&#x;oara, BraČ™ov, Sibiu and there are many fortified churches and castles, Bran Castle, long associated with the Dracula legend.

Count Dracula was inspired by Vlad ČšepeČ™, also known as the Impaler, a brave medieval prince who used to fight the Turks and impales the traitors. This was nothing unusual at the time. Dracula is a fictional character placed in Transylvania, central Romania, and the myth became really popular and it is embraced also by our culture.
