Welcome to the Job Fair, organized annually by AIESEC UA, the third event of our Next Step campaign. Next Step is designed to support students who are eager to start on the Belgian labor market. We are here to support you in the search for the ideal job. The campaign consists this year of 4 separate events including our Global Village, Job Alert, our Consulting Event with McKinsey and of course, our Job Fair. The first event gave students the chance to get a taste of the international experiences that AIESEC can offer them. The next events gave more info on how to apply for a job and especially where you can apply. To close our Next Step campaign, we take a closer look at the consulting world. Thanks to our Job Fair, students can get in contact with their potential employees in the most efficient and effective way possible. Here, students get a chance to get a glimpse of the corporate culture, share contact details with company representatives, ask questions regarding the job applications , etc. The AIESEC UA Job Fair is an ideal opportunity for students to see what the Belgian labor market has to offer. We hope our Job Fair can be the starting point for the professional career of many students, that this will be the place where they have met their future employer and have been able to gather all information needed to take the next step. AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. AIESEC has been facilitating youth leadership activities as well as international internships and volunteer experiences, developing a global learning environment across 124 countries and territories. The Global Talent Program gives students and recent graduates the opportunity to take on a cross-cultural professional development experience with some of the top companies from around the world. The internships take between 6 months and 18 months and you will get a salary that covers your living costs. There are 16 different types of internships available ranging from Marketing and Finance to Health and Engineering. Going on a professional internship with AIESEC costs €399 (incl. VAT, airfare not included), but only 30% of it needs to be paid in order to get access to the database and start searching. You pay the remaining amount only when you have found an internship. The Global Citizen Program is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership qualities and skills. A young volunteer travels across the world to go through a cultural learning experience while working for projects and NGO’s that aim to create positive impact in society, based on specific issues (eg. Education, community development etc.) The projects take between 6 and 8 weeks and your accommodation and food are covered. Participating in a volunteer projects costs €242 (incl. VAT, airfare not included), but this fee only needs to be paid when you have found a project. Jet Import is an u p and com ing com pany that has ver y quickly become one of the biggest importers of international drinks such as Red Bull, Corona, Desperados, Heineken, Strongbow, Carpe Diem, Armand de Brignac and Bionade. Jet Import took over from Jet Frisdranken, a lemonade producer that was based in western Flanders and had the exclusive licence to bottle 7-Up in Belgium. Stefaan Bettens, Jet Import’s current owner, has turned his grandfather’s company into the premium drinks importer that it is today. Jet Import imported at first Gerstel Bräu, a non-alcoholic beer that became part of the Jet Frisdranken range. In 1991, Stefaan Bettens launched Corona Extra on the Belgian market. It was the first beer with a long neck bottle. The mindset “Changing drinks means changing mindset and cultural reference. The fear of the unknown counterbalances the irresistible attraction of the exotic.” Jet Import has now turned into a mature company employing 70 driven employees (including commercial talents, marketing specialists and promotional teams) and has carved itself out a major spot in the retail and places like petrol stations and night shops as well as in the hotel and catering sector. Jet Import has a turnover of over 85 million euro and is experiencing double digit growth every year. This growth would not be possible without innovation, quality, profitability and motivation. The unbridled enthusiasm of the different people working for us also plays a big part in this growth.
