Jetstar - Love Jet
Qantas low-cost subsidiary Jetstar partnered with Australian dating site RSVP to organize a ‘Love Jet’ flight to from Sydney to the Gold Coast on Valentine's Day. 28 singles were selected for the flight via an application process hosted on the RSVP website. To help the singles in their search for “fun, flirtation and potentially romance," as the airline put it, various “opportunities for love,” such as speed-dates over champagne and breakfast to in-flight encounters, group activities and a three-course lunch on the Gold Coast were organized during the day.
Jetstar says it decided to host the event after a recent survey of RSVP members found 80 percent saw Valentine's Day as a romantic occasion but just 17 percent said they actually enjoyed it.

"Valentine's Day can be a tricky day for singles," RSVP General Manager Glenis Carroll said. "Generally, there are lots of couples out and about spoiling each other - so for some singles, it highlights the fact that they're not in a relationship. "Singles should view Valentine's Day as an opportunity - it's a chance to be brave and make a move, reveal a crush or approach someone new."
Several journalists also joined the ‘Love Jet’ flight, with one of Australia’s leading news sources publishing a report on the experience.
