Air France “La granderoue Air France”

The annual Montréal en Lumiere festival is one of the largest winter festivals in the world, drawing nearly a million visitors to experience the joy of Montréal winter time through a program of performing arts, gastronomy and free outdoor family activities.

The festival, currently in its 15th edition, last for 10 days. As French-speaking Montreal is a major destination for Air France — it offers two daily flights in winter and three in summer — the airline has been a major sponsor of the event for the past 11 years.

This year Air France sponsored the ferris wheel at the event. Called “La granderoue Air France” (The Big Wheel Air France) the airline offered festival visitors a free ride in the 60m high wheel and people also could have their picture taken in the AF photo booth.

In addition, Air France organized two culinary workshops at the festival, offering two groups of up to 24 people the opportunity to take a cooking class hosted by several of the airlines chefs and sommeliers.

Comments Fabian Pelous, Air France-KLM’s General Manager for Canada,

We are proud to renew our commitment to the eleventh year with Montreal Light, and with the Ferris Wheel, we are pleased to offer festival goers the opportunity to get closer to the most beautiful place on earth: the sky.
