America’s trucking industry has made a lot of its need for truck drivers – and rightly so. However, a similar situation is growing in fleet maintenance shops across the nation -- and the upshot is the industry needs diesel technicians nearly as badly as it needs drivers. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, trucking will require an estimated 67,000 new technicians as well as 75,000 new diesel engine specialists by 2022.
