Project: Alengis supports a customer in redefining its commodity management approach Customer: The group is a worldwide leader in the field of high-pressure cleaning. It is present in more than 60 countries with 100 subsidiaries and employs more than 10,000 people worldwide. The group had a revenue of around â‚Ź2bn in 2013.

Situation before project & project description: Faced with global challenges, the customer wants to implement a Commodity Management organization. This is to leverage its size and increase efficiencies across divisions. Early on, the customer has identified that its spend taxonomy has to be redefined to cover all the spend, enable him to identify globalization potential and define area of responsibilities for the future Commodity Managers. In addition to this spend analysis aspects, the customer requires assistance to define it Commodity Management framework (roles and responsibilities, deliverables and expectations, KPIs‌).

Results: With the inputs of Alengis, and thanks to a cross-functional approach, the customer redefined completely its Procurement taxonomy covering all the external spend (direct and indirect) with the right level of details increasing spend visibility. In addition, Commodity Management methods, processes, and deliverables were defined based on the extensive experience of Alengis consultants. Duration: 4 months 22.01.2015
