The P.A.T.+ project focuses on the potential of food circuits as an activator of the transition of the North West Ile-de-France fringe. On the one hand, a figure of analysis of the territory (1) and a method to engage its transition towards another model (2). This method can be illustrated by strategies inscribed in a short time on sites of the territory on these walls (3)(4). A vision on the third wall is a longterm destination towards which the strategies are directed (5).
Four sites reveal representative situations that can be found in the territory. At their scales, the interventions engage as many different types of actors to develop new beneficial relationships (Productive, Economic, Logistic, Solidarity). They are transition activators (4) and not term projects. The sites cooperate to support the development of a renewed agricultural model at all levels of the supply chain (3).
A. An agro-industrial collection agency in the productive territory:
A+ Processing Tools (Oil Mill), Composting Center and an Agroecology Experimental Farm.
B. Commercial activity zone in the northern periphery of the agglomeration:
B+ Logistics hub, vegetable factory, ZAE canteen, arboriculture.
C. A public facility in a neighborhood in the heart of the agglomeration:
C+ Distribution point, collective kitchens, associative activities.
D. A wasteland in contact with a collective residential neighborhood in the west of the agglomeration:
D+ Tree park, waste sorting center, shared facilities. The 34 situations illustrated (4.2) bear witness to the architectural interventions and new relationships that take place there.

Architectures of a landscape in struggle
Interventions for the preservation of landscapes subject to fire hazards

Architecture of the territory
Causses du Larzac , south of France, 2020

With a surface area of 510 m2, the Nave is the largest room at ensa-V. It offers numerous programmatic potentialities: places for exhibitions, receptions, conferences or group work. Today, it does not have the supports adapted to the events that take place there, and it is transformed in spite of itself from one occupation to another.
The Nave tends to become the showcase of the École nationale supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles. The form it adopts must be the materialization of what it represents for the school: a unique educational tool. The ensa-V promotes a particular teaching: learning through experimentation and exchange.
It is in the form of the Workshop that this method of work takes on its fullest meaning. The group work, Workshop, is a singular moment which is characterized by a workshop on the scale of the group, of the promotion. This exercise gives rise to fertile exchanges between teachers and students, around the work of the material and plasticity.
We consider that any occurrence in this place can be a variation of the
original idea of the term Workshop. Thus the Workshop gathers a great variety of exercises and practices. The Nave will be the privileged place of reception. The collective emulation emulation that these events of short duration convene follows an that we break down into four concomitant phases:
-Explanation: This is the introduction of the subject, the themes, the issues. This generates a grouping around a leader with a certain hierarchical relationship.
- Reflection: This is a time for exchange and questioning questioning that requires calm and concentration. The mass fragments into smaller entities.
- Production: This is the moment when the reflection takes shape, it becomes concrete and materializes through the chosen medium. Each group has its own method and a different balance between production and reflection.
- Exhibition: This is a retrospective that concludes the cycles of reflection and production. Taking the form of an exhibition, it requires scenographic possibilities.
Understanding the unfolding of these phases allows us to translate their necessity in the nave. Each phase has a time, a rhythm and a particular material need. To each of these times, we make correspond an architectural act. These acts embody modes of circulation of knowledge.

Rehabilitation of 2 residential towers, 62 apartments, Paris 12th, Feb. - May 2017
In what state is the contemporary housing stock in Paris? This is the question posed by a collective research conducted by a class at ensa-V. It has focused on analyzing all aspects of 10 housing buildings in the Paris region, all built after 2005.
Thereafter, we proposed what could not be presented as a rehabilitation but more as a way to rethink these buildings to adapt them to the challenges of our time. I was more particularly interested in the mutation of the modes of living within the social housing. The study buildings on which I worked are the two towers by Hamonic + Mason & Associés, 62 social housing units, Villiot-Rapée operation, Paris XIIe. Complete pre-project analysis booklet available : https://issuu.com/alex.roux/docs/ a32_villiot-rap_e_publication_nouvordre
To what extent do the facades imply or not, surprising domestic situations in the buildings? By adding a new facade circumscribed to the terraces, the changing morphology of the building is caught between the immutable regularity of the load-bearing walls and the facade. The terraces are no longer outside, but within the domestic space itself.
By putting forward the living rooms as well as the night rooms in the facade, any daily occurrence meets the balconies that make the identity of the building. The latter is also projected forward by the reuse of materials.
To limit the costs, it is necessary to introduce a flexible mutability in the process of transformation. The logic of division of the plan must thus be reconsidered while preserving the qualities of the existing building. The deep dwellings can all be slimmed down. From this principle, is born the capable interstice which can be occupied by a new independent dwelling, an additional room between two dwellings or a shared equipment. Belongings are ephemeral and uses vary.
Following the example of Austrian utopian models such as the bolo’, systems of collectivity or groups of individuals, always seem richer when adopted on a large scale. By setting up a collective base the importance of the towers in the operation changes. They become, at one point, a new centrality that makes the heart of the block dynamic. Their voices reason on a larger scale.

Our project is part of the transformation of the iconic Pleyel Tower into a true vertical Olympic village for the 2024 edition hosted by the city of Paris. Beyond these games, we believe it is necessary to anticipate its reconversion during its conception. Its obsolescence is certain.
The programs of the tower are distributed according to their needs, orientation and urban context. Each is embodied a facade principle complementary to the lacks and assets of its location. All spaces in the tower are naturally cooled and insulated. They are also heated naturally or mechanically by thermal exchanges between the programs of the tower.
RDC - R+4
R+5 - R+8
Ground floor - 5th floor, no facade on the perimeter of the tower: it is completely porous. Only the stores are insulated and spread out vertically, connected by walkways. The façade brings the sun inside, allows natural ventilation and cooling of the shops.
R+8 - R+9, the masks of the surrounding buildings plunge the office floors into the shade all day long. No glare, the windows open: these are only offices. The facade blocks the sun and allows for natural ventilation. They are heated by the calories they produce.
R+9 - R+25, the views to the south are clear on the monuments of Paris, there is the hotel. It shares the floors with offices. The air that crosses the slab from north to south cools the offices, warms and heats the hotel. The facade is doubled to block the sun, create a winter garden, and allow natural ventilation.
R+26 - R+37, the offices remain in the north in smaller size. The dwellings are spread out in an arc following the east-southwest sun. They all have a winter garden to be naturally ventilated so high and enjoy the views on the capital. The facade shields the sun, allows natural ventilation.
R+37 to R+38, the last level and the sign constitute an accessible Olympic square and the sign hosts the television sets of retransmission of the Olympic Games.

The Crook Point Bascule Bridge is an iconic landmark in Providence and a recognized landmark in the city. It symbolizes the decline and the sidelining of the city’s industrial past.
How can we consider its transformation and revalorize its surroundings while fitting it into a territorial social scheme, a rich urban dynamic and while responding to growing climatic constraints?
Territory scale - Re-opening a soft mobility route via a historical WestEast axis.
Our intervention re-gives the possibility to join the two banks (the Fox Point neighborhood to the city of East Providence) using a footbridge based on the existing structure of the bridge. The rehabilitation of the bridge as an urban axis reserved for soft mobility would encourage people to travel differently. We would like to propose an alternative to commuting by car between the city center and the eastern districts. Finally, the proposal is also in line with the continuation of the riverfront promenade from downtown in the manner of the Pedestrian bridge project, initiated in 2019 in downtown Providence.
Local scale - Resonant activities and reclaiming the river.
Beyond urban reconnection, our intervention aims to be established in its immediate environment and absorb the minor flows that cross it. The footbridge is extended on the old railroad tracks. Minor accesses branch off from this major axis (West-East). This urban ramification gives the project and the entities it connects a common passage platform.
The diversification of activities proposed by the pre-existing park extends to the reclaiming of the river and its banks. Moreover, it allows to physically fight against the multiplication of urban heat islands and to propose alternative activities in connection with the local natural resources.
Our intervention is in line with the Water Quality Improvement Plan 2030 and more specifically with the Storm Water Management Plan. With a view to reclaiming the river, the proposal takes into account the intelligent management of polluted stormwater resulting from excessive soil sealing (supermarket parking lots), which today end up in the Seekonk. We propose a system of treatment by basins of the discharges coming from the civil drains by which the waters which flow into the river. They are filtered of the biggest waste (filter 1: packaging, food plastics...) and of the finest (filter 2: small residues, cigarette butts...).
