DMVC SVTI Club Rush was held during the last week of the first month of school for Alta Loma. The Key Club stand at Club Rush was adorned with large posters of Key Club and volunteering sayings as well as pictures of previous events. Officers also walked around the quad during lunch with posters yelling, “Join Key Club!” to get more students aware of our club. Many students came to the booth, totalling with over 100 sign-up’s. Although there weren’t as many sign-up’s this year in comparison to last year, we hope to retain nearly the same amount of members in the club at the end of the year.

EJWJTJPO DPVODJM NFFUJOH August’s DCM (Division Council Meeting, a monthly meeting where clubs from a Division meet) was held none other than Red Hill Park. Alta Loma had a total club attendance of seven people, which is not bad for the first DCM of the school year. At the DCM, the Division Leadership Team (like an “officer board” for the entire division) were pied in order to raise money for PTP (Pediatric Trauma Program). Our very own Club President and Division Executive Assistant, Chenghui Wang, was pied all at once by member of Alta Loma as seen in the top photo! Attendees of the DCM also made dog toys out of t-shirts to donate to the local animal shelter.

Alta Loma held their first club meeting of the year on September 5th with a total attendance of 60 interested students. At the meeting, officers presented an overview of what Key Club is, why students should join, dues, events, Fall Rally and DCON information, newsletters, and social media. The meeting was originally supposed to be held in the school cafeteria, however complications occurred and the meeting was moved to a computer lab. Although it was cramped in the classroom, the meeting was more intimate. Since our first meeting was a

success, hopefully the club can continue to thrive with even more member attendance!
