WHO WE ARE ALITHEA DOYLE ( PRESIDENT + ART DIRECTOR ) With a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado and more than ten years experience in Art Direction and Design, Ali Doyle is an artist-at-heart and Colorado native. While being recognized by the Colorado Press Association, Folio Magazine and several other notable organizations for her outstanding work in publication and advertising design, Ali is also passionate about illustration, painting, and pottery. She loves snowboarding, paddleboarding, yoga, camping and being outside with her very best four-legged friends Kona and Hannah. AARON CESSNA ( CREATIVE DIRECTOR ) From the fast-paced world of publishing to the specialized realm of the agency, Aaron Cessna is a seasoned creative pro with more than years experience managing and producing projects from concept to completion. Dear Friends, We are pleased to share Habitat for Humanity’s 2012 Annual Report with you! In this report, you will see how “Hope Grows” by building homes, communities and futures. By the end of 2012, we constructed six homes at Stratton Flats in Gypsum and completed our first renovation at the Bluffs in Eagle. Along with Fox Hollow in Edwards, we have three communities in Eagle County that are flourishing. The future looks bright for so many of our 42 families. In 2012, 60% of students in Habitat homes were on the honor roll and four high school seniors matriculated to college. We encourage you to take a few minutes to read their stories. Furthermore, a number of adults have continued their education and improved their personal health.P.O. Moving forward, 2013 will be the final year of our $6M “World of Hope Campaign” to build 75 homes in Eagle County and 75 homes internationally. To date, there are over 60 donors and we’ve raised nearly 60% of our goal. We’ll continue to keep you updated regarding our progress throughout the remainder of the year. Lastly, a donation envelope is included and we ask that you thoughtfully consider a financial contribution. OUR GRACIOUS VOLUNTEERS AMERICORPS In 2012, our affiliate was awarded two AmeriCorps Members to help serve the Vail Valley community. Katrina Schauland of Lewiston, Minn. is the ReStore Development Coordinator. Caleb Gerdes of Eau Claire, Wis. is the Construction Crew Leader on our job site and helps lead volunteer groups. Their roles are designed to help increase our capacity to provide decent, affordable housing for local families in need. Katrina and Caleb are part of a network of over 500 AmeriCorps Members who are serving with Habitat for Humanity in over 150 communities throughout the United States.
