What I found was home, and I’m passionate about helping you do the same. I believe in representation and education. I leverage my local knowledge and experience to provide first-rate representation, and use a combination of historical data, current insights and market trends to help clients take educated steps towards realizing their real estate goals.

Pinon Personalities Rich Edgington (719) 539-0200 | redgington@pinonrealestate.com I am the founding partner and co-owner of Pinon Real Estate Group. Born in Montana and growing up in the small town of Black Forest, Colo., I moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in my twenties to start a business and family. After twenty years of Texas traffic and heat, I longed to return to Colorado. Salida provided the ideal combination of climate, scenery, recreation, and small town values for my wife and I to raise our four children. I love fly fishing, enjoying outdoor time with my family, and driving vintage Porsche sports cars.

JoDee Kane (719) 539-0200 | jkane@pinonrealestate.com I’ve been with Pinon almost since the very beginning. The year 2006 was very busy for me; I moved, got married, and started my new job here as Office Manager. In 2013 I decided to get my Real Estate License. When the opportunity to take on the role of General Manager arose, I readily accepted. Born and raised in the Meeker area, I fell in love with Salida during multiple visits and after meeting my husband Shawn, a thirdgeneration native. I feel a deep connection to the values of hard work, honesty, and integrity that underpin everything we do here at Pinon.

I am both a Broker Associate and the long-term Property Manager for Pinon. A typical day? I return dozens of phone calls, show rental homes, and coordinate repairs. I shoot out hundreds of emails each week, soothe nerves, distribute information, hold hands and listen.

Janine Marr (719) 221-1838 | jmarr@pinonrealestate.com While I’m new to real estate, I’m not new to Salida. Living and working here as the owner of Bangs! Hair Salon for more than 16 years has given me a deep understanding of the community and its unique culture. People who know me say my compassion and strong connection to clients will translate perfectly to the real estate industry. They also say I’m a pro at getting things done. While not working, I love spending time with my husband Mike and daughter Jamison on Salida’s beautiful nine-hole golf course.

Pinon Personalities WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL CAUSES?

Hayden Mellsop (719) 530-8333 | hmellsop@pinonrealestate.com Born in New Zealand, I have lived in Salida since 1996, and have worked at Pinon since 2006. Prior to a career in real estate, I guided fly anglers in New Zealand and Colorado for over twenty years. Together with Kym, I raise my two daughters, enjoy fly fishing, mountain biking and the sense of community that comes with living in a small town. I am a board member and past board chair of Realtors of Central Colorado and the Central Colorado Conservancy.

Kym Mellsop (719) 207-3077 | kmellsop@pinonrealestate.com After graduating from Smith College in ’94, I came to Salida for the summer to work for my brother, intending to return home to the SF Bay Area, but I met Hayden, and never left! I bring to Pinon a love of the mountains and the community. When not working in real estate I volunteer with Heart of the Rockies Hospice and lead the Caring Committee for the Salida Sangha. I am also curator of the Pinon office art gallery. I love going on hikes around ‘S’ Mountain as a break during my work week. Our daughters have flown their Salida nest now but raising them in this community was one of the best decisions we’ve made.

CONSERVATION OF OPEN COMMUNITY SPACES, WORKING RANCH LAND, AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIVERSITY.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT SALIDA?

THE WARM AND WELCOME COMMUNITY. EVERYONE IS YOUR NEIGHBOR IN SALIDA.

Liz Peuser (719) 207-0466 | lpeuser@pinonrealestate.com I’ve made my home in the Arkansas Valley since 1979 and have been engaged in real estate for the past 31 years. I have deep roots in the Salida community and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the many amenities that make this area special. I know you have choices when you seek a relationship with a real estate professional. I believe in personal communication and will begin by listening to your story and asking questions to assist me in responding to your real estate needs.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL DISH AND/OR DRINK?

I GO TO THE FRITZ AND SPLURGE ON MAC & CHEESE!

Brett Rankin (719) 221-4239 | brankin@pinonrealestate.com I grew up in Salida where I developed a love for the outdoors, especially skiing and mountain biking. Throughout the years I have been able to see the town grow from a sleepy mountain town to a thrill seekers getaway. Watching people discover the Arkansas Valley and fall in love for the same reasons I call Salida home has made me even more passionate about the community. You may recognize me from around town as the founder and former owner of Albritton Ski Co, The Fritz Tapas Bar in downtown Salida or helping my lovely wife Ysabella at her shop Fay & Maye. I feel very fortunate to call Salida home and for the opportunity to work with such a great team at Pinon Real Estate Group.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL ACTIVITY?

SKIING THE DEEP POWDER THAT GRACES MONARCH'S SLOPES EVERY WINTER.

Pinon Personalities Leah Rathbun (719) 539-0200 | lrathbun@pinonrealestate.com After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art — nearly debt free thanks to the Kalamazoo Promise — I craved a change in scenery. My boyfriend and I moved to Salida in 2017 and fell in love with the mountains and constant sunshine. I then stumbled into the perfect job at Pinon which challenges my creative side and keen attention to detail. I enjoy scenic drives, photography, cats, and tending to my plants. If you call Pinon, I’ll most likely be the one to answer.

Wendy Rombold (719) 221-4662 | wrombold@pinonrealestate.com The towns of Salida and Buena Vista have been my home since the year 2000, and every day I'm grateful to see the ever changing beautiful landscape! The quality of life and the genuinely kind people around here are something special. If you are considering joining our community, I'm happy to be your trusted adviser and share my local knowledge and 19 years of real estate experience to help you make an educated decision.

ON ANY GIVEN DAY, THERE ARE FUN ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY!

(719) 539-0400 | judys@pinonrealestate.com I know this valley, I’m hard working, friendly, and love helping people find the perfect piece of real estate. I know the right questions to ask and think outside the box to get deals done. If you’re looking for something special, I’ll dig until we find it. Connecting with people and listening is key for a smooth real estate transaction. With over 30 years of real estate experience, as well as mortgage brokering, appraisals and real estate investing, I’m always ready to share my passion for Salida, its amazing sense of community and pristine outdoor spaces.

(719) 221-9179 | pwilken@pinonrealestate.com Originally from the Midwest, I’ve been happy to call Colorado home for more than 20 years. My husband Keith and I knew Salida was where we wanted to live after our very first visit. We’ve raised two children here and can’t imagine a better place to raise a family. I’m in my second term as a Salida school board member, and I helped start the Chaffee County Boys & Girls Clubs. My passion for Salida and love of real estate make me a natural choice when looking for an agent. When not working, I enjoy hiking and camping with my husband and two dogs.
