GRANDI EVENTI PER FESTEGGIARE IL CENTENARIO DELL’IMPIANTO LIBERTY MILANESE: IL CONCERTO DI DARDUST AI PIEDI DEL CAVALLO DI LEONARDO E LA MOSTRA “100 ANNI DI EMOZIONI” INAUGURATA DURANTE LE GIORNATE FAI DI AUTUNNO

All’interno delle celebrazioni dei 100 anni dell’unico ippodromo al mondo dichiarato monumento di interesse nazionale, Snaitech - proprietaria della struttura - ha dato vita a due bellissime iniziative per festeggiare al meglio questo importante anniversario.

Il 16 ottobre l’ippodromo è stato splendido palcoscenico del concerto in

streaming di Dardust. Pianista italiano tra i più ascoltati al mondo, compositore e produttore d’eccezione, firma di alcune tra le più importanti hit italiane dell’ultimo periodo, l’artista si è esibito con un quintetto d’archi ai piedi del Cavallo di Leonardo. L’evento è stato trasmesso in diretta sulla pagina Facebook dell’ippodromo e il contenuto video è rimasto disponibile per la visione in on demand per i 7 giorni successivi alla diretta. È stato un concerto speciale e suggestivo, durante il quale arte e musica si sono incontrate creando un’atmosfera magica ed emozionante: durante l’esibizione sono stati svelati in anteprima esclusiva i contenuti della mostra “100 anni di emozioni”, che è stata inaugurata il giorno seguente.

L’esposizione che celebra il primo secolo di storia dell’Ippodromo Snai San Siro

è stata infatti aperta al pubblico il 17 ottobre, in occasione delle Giornate FAI d’Autunno. Per il terzo anno di fila, l’Ippodromo Snai San Siro si conferma uno dei gioielli da scoprire inseriti nella lista del FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano.

L’ippodromo è stato splendido palcoscenico del concerto in streaming di Dardust.

Dopo le migliaia di visitatori accolti nelle precedenti edizioni, l’affascinante impianto liberty situato al centro della città di Milano ha partecipato anche quest’anno alle Giornate FAI d’Autunno, aprendo i suoi cancelli nel weekend del 17 e 18 ottobre dalle ore 10 alle ore 18. Un appuntamento molto importante, durante il quale Snaitech ha quindi deciso di inaugurare la mostra “100 anni di emozioni”. L’impianto milanese vanta infatti una lunga e affascinante storia, iniziata esattamente un secolo fa, nel 1920, quando venne inaugurato alla presenza di più di 30.000 persone.

Questi aneddoti e tanti altri contenuti inediti saranno al centro della mostra “100 anni di emozioni”, patrocinata dal Comune di Milano e realizzata da Snaitech con

la curatela del Professor Stefano della Torre, Docente di restauro al Politecnico

di Milano. L’esposizione si compone di 6 pannelli allestiti nell’Area del Cavallo di Leonardo che, attraverso stampe d’epoca, fotografie e testi, illustreranno l’evoluzione storico- architettonica di un luogo unico nel suo genere come l’Ippodromo Snai San Siro. 4 GREAT EVENTS PLANNED TO CELEBRATE THE CENTENARY OF THE MILANESE LIBERTY-STYLED FACILITIES: THE DARDUST CONCERT AT THE FEET OF LEONARDO’S HORSE AND THE EXHIBITION ENTITLED “100 YEARS OF THRILLS” INAUGURATED DURING THE AUTUMN FAI DAYS

Within the context of celebrations for the centenary of the only racetrack in the world to have been declared a monument of national interest, its owner Snaitech has organised two wonderful events to celebrate this important anniversary in the best possible way.

On October 16th the racetrack was the fabulous setting for the concert held in streaming by Dardust. One of the most popular pianists in the world, an exceptional composer and producer as well as the creator of some of the most important recent Italian hits, the artist performed with a string quintet at the feet of Leonardo’s Horse. The event was broadcast live on the racetrack’s Facebook page and the video content remained available on demand for the following seven days. It was a special and evocative concert during which art and music merged, creating a magical and moving atmosphere and during the performance there was also an exclusive preview

of the contents of the exhibition entitled “100 Years of Thrills” that was inaugurated the following day.

The exhibition celebrating the SNAI San Siro Racetrack’s first century of history was opened to the public on October 17th on the FAI Autumn Days. For the third year in a row, the SNAI San Siro Racetrack was confirmed as one of the jewels to be discovered added to the FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano list. After the thousands of visitors welcomed at previous editions, the enchanting liberty-style racing facilities set in the centre of the city of Milan took part once again in the FAI Autumn Days, opening its gates on the weekend of October 17th and 18th at 6 p.m.. This was a very important event at which Snaitech inaugurated the “100 Years of Thrills” exhibition. The Milan racetrack in fact boasts a long and fascinating history that started exactly a century ago in 1920, when it was inaugurated in the presence of over 30,000 people. These anecdotes, as well as many unknown stories, are at the centre of the exhibition “100 Years of Thrills”, sponsored by the Municipality of Milan, organised by Snaitech and curated by Professor Stefano della Torre, professor of restoration at the Milan Polytechnic. The exhibition consists of six panels prepared in the Leonardo’s Horse Area that, using prints, photographs and texts of the times, illustrate the historic-architectural evolution of a racetrack that is unique in its genre. So as to fully guarantee full respect of all health regulations, visits are permitted in small groups with online bookings strongly advised at www.giornatefai.it.

In addition to this exhibition there will be many other surprises awaiting visitors. As always in fact, thanks to FAI volunteers who accompany visitors, it will be possible to discover the famous beauty of this magnificent location, ranging from the botanical gardens with their 55 different registered and listed species to Leonardo’s Horse, one of the largest equestrian sculptures in the world. Furthermore, for the very first time, visitors will also be able to admire the 13 magnificent Designed Horses from the Leonardo Horse Project, scaled reproductions of Leonardo’s Horse personalised by world famous artists and on show in the park.

7 Oltre alla mostra, ci saranno molte altre sorprese ad attendere i visitatori: come sempre, infatti, grazie ai volontari del FAI che accompagneranno i visitatori, si potranno scoprire le note bellezze di questo magnifico luogo, dal parco botanico con le 55 specie differenti registrate e cartellinate al Cavallo di Leonardo, una delle più grandi sculture equestri presenti al mondo. Inoltre, per la prima volta i partecipanti

all’evento potranno inoltre ammirare i 13 magnifici Cavalli di Design del Leonardo

Horse Project, riproduzioni in scala del Cavallo di Leonardo personalizzate da artisti di fama internazionale e collocate all’interno del parco.

DOPO LA PAUSA ESTIVA RIAPRONO GLI IPPODROMI. UNA NUOVA MAPPA PER SCOPRIRE LE MERAVIGLIE DELL’IPPODROMO SNAI SAN SIRO

All’Ippodromo Snai San Siro, che quest’anno festeggia i suoi 100 anni, vi attenderà una nuova mappa suddivisa per aree di interesse per orientarsi e scoprire tutte le attrazioni e i progetti realizzati in questi anni:13 cavalli di Design, realizzati in occasione del Leonardo Horse Project, le 55 specie di piante del Parco Botanico, le architetture monumentali e sportive. Per dare rendere i percorsi chiari e immediati anche a chi non è mai stato all’Ippodromo, la mappa è stata suddivisa in tre sezioni: la prima include l’area del Cavallo di Leonardo, la seconda l’area della Tribuna del Peso e della fontana, e la terza che raggruppa il tondino e lo spazio dedicato ai laboratori per bambini.

9 AFTER THE SUMMER BREAK, THE RACECOURSES REOPEN. A NEW MAP TO DISCOVER THE WONDERS OF THE SNAI SAN SIRO HIPPODROME

When you get to the SNAI San Siro Racetrack, which is celebrating its centenary this year, you will find a new map divided into areas of interest to help you find your way around and discover all the attractions and projects created over the years. These include the 13 Horses from Design, created during the Leonardo Horse Project, the 55 different species of plants in the Botanical Gardens as well as monumental and sporting architecture.

So as to clearly and instantly make all routes evident to everyone, even vistors who have never been to the racetrack before, the map is divided into three sections. The first includes the Leonardo’s Horse Area, the second the Weighing-In area and the fountain, while the third includes the paddock and the area reserved to workshops for children.
