A Letter from the Editor

The 2022 school year has been filled with nothing but exciting opportunities and successful issues that have shown that student-run publications are possible with a hardworking, and motivated team. Without my team and fellow members, this magazine would not be possible, and I congratulate everyone for their willingness to put aside time and effort for the magazine, whether it be for photoshoots, article-writing, or putting together the issues. While this task is challenging, it is extremely rewarding and has proven to motivate others to do the same. I would like to introduce our final publication, the spring/summer issue, that has been in the works for nearly three months. Our articles include staple pieces, skateboard fashion, swimsuits + how to pack for the beach, student entrepreneur: Chloe Nasuhoglu, crochet, summer athleisure, and summer accessories. With 7 articles, the team has spent many hours writing, photographing, and curating the final issue of the 2022-2023 school year, and we hope you enjoy.

As the school year is coming to a close and new adventures arising, I have chosen to attend Southern Methodist University in the fall where I will study fashion media and marketing in hopes to fulfill what it means to have creative expression through writing, the arts, and media. Thank you all for allowing me to create fashion publications and I wish nothing but the best for our future team, members, and faculty sponsor.

Staple pieces are reliable articles in your closet that are: creative, iconic, and essential. Spring brings exciting and exhilarating new combinations with clothes such as sneakers. Since the temperature is rising, there is less of a need for clunky big shoes for the winter cold. Sneakers are very easy to style as they match with anything you own, and are great for creating different unique combinations and aesthetics. Denim jeans are yet another staple piece that arise in every season and work well in any shape or form. You just have to know how to style them and what style fits you and your aesthetic best. The jeans can range from baggy jeans, mom jeans, skinny jeans, or just regular jeans. The next staple piece is lightweight sweaters.
