They don’t have to be graphic tees, however if you do incorporate a graphic tee, it can create texture in your outfit that doesn't feel plain and boring. In Sophia’s look, she uses black tee to better display her colorful and airy sweater. It adds depth to the look and feels light and easy going. Another essential piece is rain jackets. In the spring, rainstorms occur most of the season, however rain jackets aren’t just for the weather, they also can elevate an outfit into the next level and look chic doing so. Like sweaters, rain jackets come in different patterns, designs, and colors that can be accommodated into any outfit. Rain jackets also add layers to an outfit, feeling more exaggerated and adding a sense of texture into one's look. Take for example Sophia's look; she uses all the previously discussed staple pieces. She wears a basic black camisole, layered with a cropped crocheted tied top, with a patterned, light brown rain jacket. She pairs this with dark denim jeans and tucks in her camisole with a black leather belt. In all, Sophia creates a sensible, yet unique outfit. With the multiple layers it feels like a fulfillable outfit that can easily be picked apart and yet so distinct in a crowd of people.

In the summer, staple pieces change due to the weather. Any long sleeves are almost automatically out. You should also strive for anything short sleeve. Just like in the spring, graphic tees are essential in your wardrobe. Due to it being harder to layer items in the summer season, it can be more difficult to add texture and depth. However, graphic tees allow for that much needed texture, and it looks senseless and casual. Another staple piece is anything with bold colors. Summer is the season for bold colors like hot pink, yellow, red, bright blue, and many more. Due to this wide variety of colors, anything with these bold colors should be automatically added into your staple piece wardrobe. Along with tees and shirts, crop tops are a great way to be different instead of just wearing a tee. Crop tops add another layer of consistency and you can find them with different colors, graphic designs, colors, textures Take for example, Alfredo’s and Sophia's look. They both incorporate bright colors, however they use different staple pieces creating two different looks. Although they create two different looks, it shows the wide range that one staple piece has and the effect it has on an outfit. The last staple piece in the summer are midi skirts. They are flowy, are very chic, and come in different patterns as well. They are essential in being different in the summer and they allow for differing styles and aesthetics. Once you go to a midi skirt you can never go back!
