Hello February February is here and it is the month of romance and I am in love with life!

When you have passion for what you do everyday it never feels like work and I am so lucky to have a job I love. It is so lovely that I get to meet so many wonderful people everyday. This month I’ve chatted to the very inspirational Christine Blackledge Crowle who, like me, moved to Paphos to improve her lifestyle. She’s created a very successful empire for herself. We also feature the impressive councillor Constantinos Zannetos who represents the Ayia Napa Municipality and does so much for the community.

Whatever you’re up to this month, make sure you do it with a good heart. I’ve been reading quite a few self help books recently as it is so important to try and be a better person. One thing resonated with me, after going through a particularly challenging time and wondering which direction to turn in, the advice I read was that chaos is put in front of you not to make you sad, but to make you grow. Chaos brings uncertainty and this brings a new momentum to challenge you. In order to improve your life you need to step out of your comfort zone and allow things not to go to plan. Approach the uncertainty as an opportunity to be seized,

as scary as it might be, but the outcome is likely to be far better than you ever perceived. There’s plenty of holistic tips inside to help you love the lifestyle you’re living So until next month, stay blessed and beautiful. Love,

Entrepreneur and mother of four Christine Blackledge Crowle Want to live your dream life? Entrepreneur and mother of four Christine Blackledge Crowle is doing that and wants to help you live yours in the sun. Based in Paphos but serving the whole island, Christine will help you move home, find a job and set up a business as well as introducing you to new friends, schools and colleges and much more so that you can start living the lifestyle you deserve.

Christine says, “The dream began 11 years ago when I became a life coach. It took me this time to move to Cyprus but I don’t want it to take that long for other people. I want to show them how they can do it quicker. I made the decision in 2020 to leave the UK. I wanted to go somewhere safe and warm and beautiful. I asked myself, what is it that your heart always wanted? The kids are growing up, it is so much a freer life and I want to help people do the same. It is good to have a coach

as they know what you really want. “I transfer their life here, for example if they want to know a school I can investigate for them” Christine offers relocation coaching packages for her clients to assist not just with the practical side of relocation but also to help with those wanting coaching 3 months or 12 months, depending on their needs, to include helping them move as well as continuing support for when they arrive. She says, “I look for people in the UK looking to move, or people here thinking ‘what do I do?” Because I have been able to set up my business here, I want to teach people how to set up a business for themselves and what type of business they want to do. I help them transition from UK, offering a whole life changing package.” Christine is extremely well qualified to coach, she

is an inspirational rags to riches tale of success, pennilessly fleeing an abusive relationship to building multiple successful businesses. She takes a holistic attitude to living and has shared a stage with her idol, Tony Robbins, at one of his conventions. She says, “Although I specialise in healthcare, I do everything,I transform business from UK to Cyprus because the advantages of living here are stronger than in UK, not simply about lifestyle but health as well and financial. Plus I collaborate with other businesses so people can live their best life as they possible can.

Networking is key for success and Christine has events lined up throughout the year across Paphos and Limassol. Christine says, “I run them online and also have live events scheduled across the island. People are starting to think about their future and they can use the pandemic to their advantage.” So how has life changed for Christine since she moved to Cyprus? “My life has changed beautifully,” she enthuses, “The weather is nice, I’ve met some lovely friends and good business associates as well which is welcome. I can honestly say that my life has improved, health wise dramatically. I had a heart condition and now everything is clear, it is reversed.” Alongside her coaching Christine is also an established gin connoisseur and chefin Christine’s holistic kitchen which are added benefits to her coaching skills. She says, “In business it’s not about one thing, it good to be holistically helping people improve their lives in all areas,

In the UK people are so busy rushing around being busy fools and but there’s no need. I do holistic cooking, food good for the heart, vegan veg and chicken and fish. I offer cookery classes to cater for everyone, they’re on zoom classes and are as healthy as possibly to help our families live as long as

Cyprus, Christine is quick to point out that the economy is flourishing for ex pats. “I can create jobs,” she says, “There are so many jobs we can do even though online there is someone who needs our service. And working in a certain job as manager or leader in the UK and wants to move here, that is a strength and I look at transferring their skills here.” Christine is all about working smarter. “It is key to have team of people to help you with your dream. I launched our franchise last year and am pushing that so I have to keep moving,it’s not just an experience background, but I have passion and that’s what drives me.”

possible. I just people to reach their full potential.” Look at businesses they can do Whilst there is a perception that the job market is suffering in

‘This year I see it as wonderful challenge. The pandemic should be a propellor to push you to make your dreams come true.”

DRIVING

TOP TEN MOST COMMON CAR DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS

10

Battery warning light An illuminated battery light could be due to a number of issues, including: A loose or corroded battery cable. A problem with the alternator or voltage regulator. Damaged cells or plates inside the battery.

Engine temperature warning light - When the coolant temperature warning light goes on, the engine is seriously overheated, which can be caused by overheating, lack of cooling water or a cooling system that is having trouble.

Brake warning light - When this light comes on, it means one of two things. Either the hydraulic fluid (brake fluid) in the master cylinder is low, or the parking brake is engaged. If the system springs a leak, the fluid level will drop. A leak can cause your brakes to fail.

Engine management light - The light is connected to your car's engine control unit (ECU), and is the first indicator of issues with the engine's electronic network and indicates there could be a problem if the light stays on when you turn the ignition.

Engine oil warning light - If the oil light comes on while you are driving, get to a safe place and turn the engine off immediately. It is important to stop driving your vehicle because you may have run out of oil.

Brakepad warning light - The brake pads are getting low. Without any pad material, the brakes won't stop the car as quickly so waiting too long is dangerous and increases the risks of getting into a collision.

Low pressure tyre warning light - Indicates low pressure in the tyres. If the pressure is extremely low, it does become dangerous to drive, especially at high speeds. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) warning light - The ABS on a vehicle prevents the wheels from locking up when a driver slams on the brake pedal in an emergency situation or on a wet or slippery surface and when it is lit, this indicates a problem that needs looking at. Airbag warning light There may be an issue with a crash sensor, SRS module, or other airbag component. This is important to get checked out as quickly as possible. Power steering warning light - In hydraulic power steering systems, a leak in the system causing a low fluid level is the most common cause for this problem. The cause may vary according to the type of power steering system in your car.

NEWS

With Constantinos Zannetos, who has been a councillor with Ayia Napa Municipality since 2016 that Why did you decide to apply for the position? Local

government issues and engaging with the public were something that interested me from a young age. The contribution to the issues that concern my hometown and in particular to the issues that concern the youth, the involvement with the strengthening of the tourism product, have been the driving force for me to submit my candidacy.

Tell us about your role as a councillor for the Ayia Napa?

We have to face important responsibilities and challenges on a daily basis. As Chairman of the Youth, Sports and e-Government Committee, we promote the development of programs and actions to unlock and develop the potential of the new generation of the place, but also their creative contribution to the formulation of youth policies focused on modern challenges. As a Municipal Councilor in a Municipality that has a huge contribution to the economic development due to the huge tourist attendance 16

it has every year, the development of the tourism industry and the strengthening of our tourism product, which bring new jobs and more working positions, has a significant part of my actions on a daily basis. Also, e-Government was an important step for the modernization of our Municipality, which we implemented to a large extent, helping the citizens, especially since the pandemic began. Finally, let me mention that I am a member of the Personnel Recruitment Committee.

What responsibilities do you have? In

addition to my duties as Chairman of the Youth, Sports and E-Government Committee and member of the Personnel Recruitment Committee, I am Chairman of the Ayia Napa Youth Council, which produces work independently of the Youth, Sports and E-Government Committee. The Ayia Napa Youth Council has set a goal to offer to the community and to support in every way the young people of the Municipality. We carry

out activities, such as tree planting, social donation, support for vulnerable groups, the Youth Festival, etc., which encourage our youth to offer and support each other and also to be active in many ways. Also, until the arrival of the pandemic, we organized information events to enhance the tourism product. For example, we had organized the 1st Tourism Conference and for the first time, people that they were involved in tourism, could participate for free and be informed about digital tourism, new techniques, marketing issues etc. All of these, are an important step for us, because the ultimate goal is to support young people and give them access to the new techniques, in order to help them to improve their job, their knowledge and generally the society.

What do you love about Ayia Napa?

I only feel blessed to have been born and raised in

such a beautiful place. The natural beauties are innumerable. Cape Greco is one of the main hot spots of Ayia Napa that emphasizes the majesty of the landscape. But what I love most is that the people of Ayia Napa has not changed, despite the changes brought about by the development and strengthening of the tourism product.

What are your hopes for the resort for the 2022 season, do you see an economic improvement? My wish

for 2022 is the pandemic to have an end soon. We hope that in 2022, after the financial difficulties caused in all sectors in the previous two years, the tourism industry in our country will be strengthened, which is also the main source of income. Through the Recovery and Resilience Facility plan for Cyprus, the economy will become more sustainable and more resilient to future challenges. The investments and reforms that will be made will significantly strengthen the economy. The Plan, which was approved by the EU as a workable and sustainable plan, includes investments and reforms, which concern the significant support of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the diversification and strengthening of the tourism product. Gradually, they will contribute to the further development of the local community and improve

the quality of life of young people.

Tell us about your role with Ayia Napa Youth? An important goal

is the active participation of our young people and to help and support them, by finding efficiency solutions. Every year we organize a festival, organized by the youth for the youth, with events, concerts, activities, social messages and charity. The Ayia Napa Municipal Youth Council (AYIA NAPA YOUTH) immediately after its founding, set a grandiose goal, the organization of a Pancyprian Youth Festival in the Municipality of Ayia Napa. The main idea behind the festival is to attract as many people as possible, from all over the world, since Agia Napa is one of the most beautiful hot spots in the Mediterranean. The festival was established as an annual institution and was embraced not only by the young people of Ayia Napa, but by all parts of Cyprus.

What is the purpose of this group? To

support our youth, to strengthen the tourism product, which is the backbone of our economy, to have the active participation of our young people in actions that improve their daily lives. We carry out voluntary actions, actions that improve the environment, actions that motivate young people to actively participate in the community. The active

participation of our youth is the driving force for our society and it is our duty to encourage it through our actions and examples. It is our duty to stand by to the young people in every way we can.

What encouragement do you give to youths in Ayia Napa? To be

themselves, to remain loyal in their values and to be active citizens. To participate in training programs, educational programs, so that they can strengthen and develop their business activity. Be optimistic and never give up.

Are there any developments in Ayia Napa we can look forward to? The project

of Ayia Napa Marina is one of the most important real estate projects in Cyprus and is expected to significantly enhance the tourist profile of the island.

What are your passions? What excites

me most as a person is engaging with the public and taking active action. I am not a complacent character; I have always been a restless spirit and I have always been interested in the society issues and the active participation and improvement of my home town. I am a person of the front line and I believe that the challenges we have to face are what keeps us awake every day.

HOME DECOR THE COLOUR FOR 2022 IS PURPLE ACCORDING TO DESIGN EXPERTS

CONSIDER DIFFERENT SHADES OF PURPLE FOR EACH ROOM

The news is out - Pantone’s Colour of 2022 has been announced as a gorgeous shade of purple known as “Very Peri”. The irresistible, bluetinged shade of purple that is “Very Peri” is expected to make a statement in our wardrobes and homes this year. It’s the colour of spirituality and wisdom. PAIR WITH OTHER COLOURS

Integrating purple into your living space is to pair the shade with other complementary colours. Momtaz explains: “Purple is a hue that works in harmony with so many other colours making it ideal for the home. You don’t need to go for full purple coverage, instead,

pair purples alongside other colours you love.

“Purple introduced with silver and grey soft furnishings make a bedroom feel opulent, while purple and blue in the bathroom will give you a boost of clarity in the mornings. Meanwhile, purple and orange

makes for a welcoming living room, and purple and yellow will brighten up hallways. Not to mention, purple teamed with red, black or gold are all winning combinations when used in home decor details like picture frames, candle holders and storage tins.”

As we all know, purple comes in many shades and variations. With this in mind, it is important to be mindful of what you hope to achieve when selecting a particular purple shade for an area in your home. For instance, you may want to have a different shade of purple for your bedroom in contrast to your living room. The purple spectrum begins with soft tints like lilac, which is increasingly becoming a popular choice for painting walls because it has calming qualities, yet has more personality than a regular light blue. Lavender, on the other hand, is a richer purple with indigo tones. Just like the flower’s aromatherapy properties for being the scent of relaxation, lavender helps to promote a good night’s sleep, and it’s a colour that can make a bedroom feel like a restful 19 sanctuary.

It is an auspicious time to initiate projects geared towards bringing benefits at a later time in your life. TAURUS (20 APRIL – 20 MAY) Creative juices flow and romantic adventures move into the real world. Artistic energies can be grounded, for you are imaginative and even inspired. However, curb your physical aggression and beware the consequences of overindulgence and risky adventures. Overworking your brain would only lead to exhaustion.

GEMINI (21 MAY – 20 JUNE) Your mental processes are energized. Filled with many new ideas, you have an urge to read more, gather all kinds of information and learn new things. You really need to communicate, as planning projects, attending meetings, running errands and taking short trips occupy all of your time.

CANCER (21 JUNE – 22 JULY) It would good for you to take up a creative hobby or go somewhere new to relax. You need to keep patience and tackle situations with your intellect and tact. Use your intuitive abilities, increase your spiritual awareness, investigate dreams and the occult.

LEO (23 JULY – 22 AUGUST) Artistic and creative talents, their development are likely focus of this period. Several aspects of life require your active presence so you might

feel drained often. You should make serious efforts to take out time for yourself as occasional periods of solitude would help you calm down and find a way out.

VIRGO (23 AUGUST – 22 SEPTEMBER) The desire to

pursue higher education or advanced training is stimulated, as is the urge to speculate, take risks and be more daring. You become more outgoing and assertive when travelling abroad, or dealing with those of a different race or culture.

LIBRA (23 SEPTEMBER – 22 OCTOBER) You can use or

develop skills to make you more independent in financial and other ways. Increased determination and willpower make you more demanding and critical. Romance through a chance encounter, or a sudden infatuation is very much a possibility.

SCORPIO (23 OCTOBER – 21 NOVEMBER) You should

experience the highest inspirations, as well as the kind of dumb luck that comes from just being in the right place at the right time. The magic of illusion and imagination, enhanced spirituality, or investigating the paranormal can be enjoyable.

SAGITTARIUS (22 NOVEMBER -21 DECEMBER) You acquit

yourself with pride and may find yourself quite an enthusiastic entertainer or host. Cooperation, diplomacy, and sociable dispositions make this a fortunate period for friendships, organizations and group activities. Your capacity for enjoyment is enhanced, but over indulgence is almost impossible to avoid.

be swamped with information and ideas. Travel and transportation are highlighted. The energy is good to develop new skills with machinery or computers. A powerful network of relationships can help you become happier and more successful as an individual.

PISCES (19 FEBRUARY – 20 MARCH) You may be inspired

at this time to rescue or restore heirlooms. If you have been thinking about a new business venture or achieving some physical goal, this is a time when you are likely to put such plans in motion.

Secure Corporate and Domestic Storage in Cyprus

C

hange is bound to happen. Renovation, relocation, remodelling. All these rank as one of the most stressful life events. Your life and work are disrupted as you make adjustments and changes to your daily routine. Additionally, organising, packing and keeping track of your belongings is a hassle. Then, once you move, you have to figure out where to put all your items. Luckily, you can take away some of that stress by storing your possessions

22

at Peter Morton Removals storage facilities! At PMR, one of the core values is to make customers life as stress-free as possible. Renovation, Relocation and Remodelling, do not have to be stressful life events. Due to increased demand a few years ago, Peter Morton made a considerable investment and sourced a dedicated, massive storage facility on a 7,500 square meter site. Right now, it is ranked as the largest and safest storage facility in Cyprus. At PMR, the storage crates are made of wood and are 250 cubic ft each in size. The storage facilities are approved by BAR (British Association of Removers) and all crates are manufactured and imported from the UK. It’s easy to store items anywhere, but our warehouse is both convenient and protected. Considering

your belongings’ safety ahead of time will save you the stress of having to replace something later or potentially losing something irreplaceable, expensive or dear to your heart. Additionally, the warehouse itself and all goods that are in the store are fully insured! With the recent increase in Cyprus crime rates, storing valuable goods at home doesn’t seem like a safe option any longer. Unlike houses, storage facilities offer more security to stored items. At Peter Morton Removals, the whole facility is covered by a state-of-the-art security system monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Three freerunning guard dogs also patrol the premises. It is, therefore, wiser to store valuable items in a

storage unit rather than in the garage or basement of our houses. Peter Morton Removals domestic storage crates are all individually numbered. They are loaded on to purposebuilt vehicles and brought to your house, ready to be loaded by the PMR team. Upon loading of each crate, with a full inventory, the doors will be secured. On arrival of the PMR vehicle back at a secure warehouse, your numbered crate will be placed back in its specific row by a forklift. This means your goods are not handled anymore from when collected. The redelivery process works exactly the same but in

reverse. Every crate that arrives at the warehouse is logged on to the computer system. You can access your domestic storage crates at any time by appointment with the office.

of where they going and what conditions they will be stored in. We welcome potential customers to come and view our facility, so you can see for yourself and be confident in your decision to use us.

At PMR, we always suggest to our clients that they come and look at the storage facility. If you want to store your goods, you need to be very sure For more information, please visit their website www.petermortonremoval.com or give them a call on 26923588 - Paphos office or 25722180 - Limassol office.

REIKI

Reiki with Sherell Hi, my name is Sherell, I live in Ayia Thekla and I have been practicing Reiki for about 18 months.

To become a Reiki practitioner you must be attuned by a Reiki master. Attunements are a ceremony of empowerment, education and practice.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese alternative health approach using an energy healing technique. Reiki is the free passage and transference of universal life force energy. In Japanese, Rei means universal wisdom and Ki means life force energy. Reiki energy is an intelligent, graceful, compassionate universal energy. During a Reiki session a practitioner will place their hands just above your body to bring about the healing process. The energy is transferred through their hands to the client. They will work down your body starting with your crown and finishing at your feet. The aim is to help clear your 7 chakras by using the energy to unblock and stimulate your body's

24

solar plexus, sacral and root. Each chakra represents your spiritual energy centre holding various emotions.

natural healing abilities. Reiki does not directly cure diseases or illnesses. Instead, it’s used as a way to manage symptoms and improve general wellbeing. The chakras are the meta physical side of life. Chakra means wheel in Sanskrit and is the flow of energy. By practising Reiki you are helping the chrakas to have a balance between the mind, body and spirit, allowing the energy to flow freely through the body. The 7 chakras are your crown, third eye (forehead), throat, heart,

This ceremony is performed by the Reiki master during each level to open and expand the main energy channels of the student's body, allowing universal energy to flow more freely and deeply through them, clearing blockages in the body and leading to significant energy changes within the individual. It is simply the transfer of energy: The master is passing energy off to the student, who will then possess it for life. Attunement is what makes Reiki a unique healing practice. Within the next few months I hope to be attuned to Reiki Master. To find out more, please contact me through my Facebook page OceanMoon.

GIN

THE SPIRIT OF

BARCELONA

T

o say that Ginraw is unique is an understatement. A contemporary or ‘modern’ gin, this style is still not legally defined, however Ginraw sits firmly in the very epicentre of that description. While it does contain juniper, as all gins should, and great botanicals, its methodology is revolutionary and brings to the forefront how gins are developing every single day. Originating in Barcelona, Ginraw was developed by a pair of entrepreneurs, Roger Burgués and Lluís Jáuregui, who doubting that there was a gin to meet their exacting gastronomic standards, brought in four masters of their craft: a chef, a sommelier, a mixologist and a perfumer - yes, a perfumer - to produce a gin like no other. Combining their talents to craft a superior gin with sublime character and a personality that

28

Stanna Wieclawska Kyriakou reflects the avant-garde gastronomic spirit and standards of Barcelona demanded thinking outside of the box. And here is where it gets interesting…. The first process takes a wheat-base and juniper in single-batch copper still distillation. They then utilised a unique distillation process using low-temperature distillation using a Rotaval, a machine invented by one of the top restaurants of molecular gastronomy in Spain. Produced with the finest botanicals, individually sourced and harvested fresh and in season from their top growing locations, the two sets of ingredients are used in the Rotaval method Mediterranean botanicals including lemon peel, citron peel, and laurel

leaves; and exotic botanicals including kaffir lime leaves, black cardamom, and coriander seeds. These two sets of botanicals macerate in the distillate before being individually distilled, and the flavours are delicate yet flavoursome. The resulting distillates are then blended and bottled at 42.3% ABV. Ginraw’s nose is juniperforward, with fresh pine and peppercorn up front, and lime zest and coriander in the background. Herbaceous, leafy and somewhat savoury on the palate at first, further waves of fresh citrus roll in and positively sing out their flavours and aromas in Ginraw. This is a special gin and rightfully deserves the accolade that follows its name. Ginraw is pure madness, but oh, so sublime.

A

radippou is a large, thriving community that merges seamlessly with Larnaka city as you enter Larnaka from the Nicosia-Larnaka highway, with its boundaries extending to the Kamares aqueduct area, making it the largest sub-community of Larnaka region. It was officially declared a town in 1986. Combining its modern face with traditional elements, Aradippou is proud of its cultural heritage which is cherished through the dance troupes that perform folkloric song and dance at various events in Larnaka, including the annual Kataklysmos festival, as well as two interesting museums. The Kostas Kaimakliotis Folklore Museum (currently closed for renovations) and the

30

Museum of Christian Art – Christoforou Collection are the municipality’s first museums to make-up the Folkloric Neighbourhood, with plans to expand the traditional quarter in the future with further cultural gems, creating a one-stop visit for tourists. The Folklore Museum Kostas Kaimakliotis is housed in a 1901 mansion and depicts

LIFESTYLE

NOTES AND REFLECTIONS OF A WOMAN CREATING HER BEST LIFE Stefania Bongiovanni How is your day going? What was your expectation or intention when you woke up this morning? Did you feel open to receive new amazing opportunities or rather did you fear that another boring day had just begun? Personally, I woke up smiling, counting my blessings and full of energy, ready to live another day charged with opportunities! But it was not always like that. Indeed, during the last three years I’ve often questioned myself about what my purpose in life was. From time to time I felt stuck or out of place. Even though I’m a passionate advocate for #BodyPositivity, sometimes I was not very happy with the image that I saw reflected in the mirror. And to these I could add some more doubts and thoughts. Not to mention the challenges! As I believe that we always need to evolve, learn, improve, and as I am very focused on inspiring and supporting each other, when I was offered by the stunning Amanda Moss the opportunity to write for this

equally stunning Magazine, I immediately replied “yes!”, as I felt the call to share my experience with you. Given the above, my intention is to design this space for you, knowing that what I will write may resonate with many of you or at least may give you a starting point for you to reflect on which step to take next. I’m not a guru or a coach or a specialist, I’m just a woman who is on her personal and spiritual journey aimed to create the best version of herself, and I would like to share with

you what I’ve been learning and experiencing so far. Because, believe it or not, miracles and magic happen. Let’s dream big and create some magic together! See you here next month and... get ready to shine! Who am I? I’m an Italian living in Cyprus and loving it crazily. My name is Stefania Bongiovanni, some of you will know me as the founder of The Girlfriends’ Circle, but as well as the woman who believes in #sisterhood and in #womensupportwomen. And for a few more things that you will discover in the next issues of Lifestyle Magazine, our favourite magazine in Cyprus!

MUSIC

J OYOUS WO L F

T

he green monster visited me in January as it did many, so I turned it into a positive and caught up with lots of music..... there are SO MANY BANDS OUT THERE, we are spoilt!! One of them is Southern California Rockers, JOYOUS WOLF,who I have supported and been on their trail since 2017. It's refreshing and interesting to delve deeper into a band than just listening to the finished product. My first impression of vocalist Nick Reese was his energy, it reminded me of a young Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) and the sultriness, charisma and depth, of Jim Morrison. On stage he is like a preacher, welcoming everyone into his fold with his velvety voice and alluring stage presence. Joyous Wolf, born 2014, are one of the most exciting and upcoming modern Rock bands, brimming with old and new influences but very much a present band. They make what sounds old, new in their own way and contribute to the Classic Rock revival. The four-member band is

continuously evolving and started out as a favorite amongst the more underground scene but now moving fast to the forefront. Vocalist Nick Reese may be young in years but his old soul shines through his music. Influenced growing up by Elvis,

James Brown, Johnny Cash to Prince and Michael Jackson, with his top era of music being 1977- 1987 (he was born

Music expert Drew Andreou, who organises Cyprus Rocks, gives her insight into the music scene around Cyprus. If you want to be included email info@lifestylelivingcyprus.com

in 1994!) he was also drawn to the most classic sounds of Zeppelin and Sabbath. He said to me, ‘I may be young Miss, but I

have an old soul’ and this is reflected in his work. When the band started out, they bonded over bands like Audioslave, Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Muse and were also huge into Blues music. All these influences and elements combined, produce the music of JW who are passionate about what they do, from euphoric to melancholic. They fervidly want people to feel the emotions that they push out when they perform, whether it's to 20 people or 2000 and believe that what they are doing when they perform is substantial, ‘like a vitamin pill’ for all that are there. JW put on one hell of a show, full of explosive vibes and an abundance of energy which makes them stand out from other contemporaries in the genre of modern rock. It is possible that Nick Reese’s bold and loud clothing style and his crazy stage antics, back flips and splits or climbing the rigging was to draw attention in the beginning, but now they are his signature moves, which you don’t see from any other artist. Deep down his James Brown moves and his Mick Jagger swagger come from his expressive

passion from deep within. His feet just don’t stop moving! In 2019, pre pandemic, they released their highly anticipated debut 7 track EP. Place in Time, (listen to it!) - a combination

of slow ambiatic tracks leading to a more rockier place to vigorous and fiery. It was welcomed with excitement and well-deserved praise. The vocals range from sultry deep velvety tones to rocky and ravaged, complimented by the astounding skills of the other three members of the close-knit band. Their aim is for their music to be audibly pleasing and for different songs to have contrasting feelings and bring out different emotions. Their latest single release FEARLESS, which won the BREAKOUT song of 2021, is a great rock song with mounds of encouragement and dynamics. ‘....be fearless like a child is, be careless

like no one else is...’ Joyous Wolf have already played at numerous festivals and met lots of their heroes, supporting and spending time on the road with Deep Purple, Myles Kennedy, Buck Cherry, Dirty Honey and Of Limbo. They are scheduled for lots more this year and heading across the pond to Europe for the first time this summer to Download, Graspop, Hellfest and Tons of Rock. Even though the pandemic halted their Live shows, they used the time productively by writing material for their new upcoming album which will be released this year. In addition, vocalist Nick, continued to do regular live acoustic streaming on social media to stay connected with his fans. Where there's a will, there is always a way! ‘All I want is for Rock music to thrive, I want that more than what I want for myself’ Nick Reese Ladies and gents...... Joyous Wolf are Nick Reese, Blake Allard, Greg Braccio and Robert Sodaro. Check them out, follow them, listen to their music! @Joyouswolfmusic
