Stress and the Heart Most people think that stress, anxiety, and depression are things that only affect your mental health or more precisely your thoughts. This is how you feel and behave. But stress has the most effect on one’s heart. If we call these mental issues like heart disease, it would not be wrong. This is not always the cholesterol that hurts your heart, but the stress that leads to sudden cardiac arrest. Your heart bears the most burden of the stress. Thus, it leads to low or high cardiovascular issues. That would lead to heart failure. Stress would disrupt your heart rate, make it beat faster or lower than the usual. Then, it would affect your blood pressure again make it go up or down. Now I have a different case where my heart rate would shoot up and blood pressure would be low. Now all this physiology is affected by stress and resulted in fatigue, tiresome mind, and body. So basically it is stress that is upsetting our bodies. Now let me say that cholesterol to come from stress. Yes, the higher stress levels release the hormones that are called fatty acids so it not only blocking your veins and arteries but also making you fat. The irregular heart rate would make breathing difficult and you will need lots more oxygen to function it properly. The broken heart syndrome is now not a new discovery. The emotional pain causes a heart to change its shape. But luckily this is just a temporary situation that occurs in the result of sudden trauma. If you feel like having a heart attack in a stressful situation now you know it is not it’s your heart having some swollen chambers.
Broken Heart changes the way your heart works
We can control the damages that stress or anxiety has on our heart. And exercise top the list as usual. Being physically active really helps you control your mind and also regulate your heart. A heart that has no energy left and full of sorrows and pain. Exercise makes it alive and functions properly. It would also burn your fatty acids so no weight gain as well. The second place is always for a balanced diet. In a stressful situation, some people like to eat a lot. Which is not good, but a hot balanced diet with plenty of fiber and less salt and sugar in a day is a must. Humor is also a great way to relieve the pain of heart and distract you. Add a bit of comedy to your life. And laugh your heart out. Alcohol or the use of caffeine makes you sad and stressed. Yes, the research proves this point, so cut down cigarette and coffee intake. If you have taken stress too long, it might be possible that you will be needing medication so see a doctor if your symptoms are consistent. Meditate or pray for the solicitation of your mind and heart. Having faith is also a proven way to get rid of tension and achieve peace of mind and heart. Spend some time close to nature that too quickly lowers your stress level. Or you can just do anything that would give you any peace of mind. Get rid of the stress in any way that suits you most and saves your heart from all the trouble. Because a sad heart can really have the ability to kill.
