Dear Residents,
I am deeply honored to introduce myself as the new President of the Board for our Marbella community.
Before looking forward, I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to our retiring Board members, whose dedication and service have been pivotal in shaping the vibrant and supportive environment that characterizes The Marbella experience.
The contributions of Pablo Lorenzo and Lou Lowenkron have laid a strong foundation for our continued success and growth. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Jill McCabe, our outgoing President, for her leadership and commitment to our community. Jill's tenure as President has been one of achievements and progress, and we are fortunate that she has agreed to continue her service on the Board. Her experience and insights will be invaluable as we move forward.
Looking forward, we have ambitious and exciting projects on our agenda. Working with Guest Services, Michelle Woodman has been promoted to General Manager, and we all congratulate her. Guest Services is committed to fully supporting Michelle and the management team in ways that will help shape our community's future. We are
looking forward to working with them.
Our community is changing, with many new owners joining us, each bringing fresh perspectives and energies. We are all eager to welcome them and integrate their ideas and enthusiasm into the fabric of our community.
Many of you are diligently renovating your units, contributing significantly to the overall enhancement of our building. This collective effort is not just about beautification but about creating a space that reflects our shared values and aspirations. Together, we will continue to build on the excellent culture established among our staff and residents, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and connected.
Stepping into this role, I am filled with enthusiasm and a profound sense of responsibility to serve each of you. Our community stands as a standard of innovation and comfort in retirement living, and we are committed to furthering this promise of Retirement Living Reimagined
Warm Regards,
Fred Luconi, President of the BoardMANAGER’S MESSAGE

Meet Marlyse Planer
Sandra McDariesMarlyse Planer, a woman of remarkable resilience, was raised on a farm in East Germany alongside her brother. Her childhood was filled with simple joys like fishing with her grandfather and the companionship of their pets. However, the war brought a harsh reality as her family was forced to flee to West Germany when Communist Russia occupied and persecuted landowners.
At 15, Marlyse discovered her passion for tennis. With unwavering dedication, she quickly mastered the sport, achieving all her goals and even becoming a Sports Teacher and Certified Rescue Lifesaver.
Ten years later, she moved to England to learn English and met her best friend Felix. The stars aligned, and Felix became the love of her life. C'est la vie! They were happily married ever after.
Felix had a doctorate in science, and founded a company in London, based on his inventions. He eventually sold his company, and they moved to Lake Geneva, Switzerland, where they enjoyed skiing and ice skating. They traveled extensively, enjoyed ballroom dancing, and shared a mutual love for classical music and opera.
After Felix passed away at the age of 95, Marlyse moved to America and traveled to several countries; favorites are Bora Bora and New Zealand.
Marlyse loves going to Artis—Naples and enjoys living at the beautiful Marbella surrounded by family and friends.
