February 2025: On The Boulevard

On The Boulevard

FEBRUARY 2025

Dear Residents,

Your staff and crew are working hard to improve how The Marbella ship is sailing. The sun is shining, and the efforts are starting to show. Open your cabin door and enjoy the good things The Marbella has to offer!

Some residents practiced Dry January, and the dining staff created and served mocktail options. Many of you sound like you will continue to drink nonalcoholic beverages through the coming months.

Physical therapy service has begun in The Cove (finally under its own roof), which is a great feature!

The menu has been updated, including an à la carte option. You can select your meat or fish, vegetables, starch, and sauce to accompany the meal. Additional soup choices are available. At least three mini desserts are offered daily in addition to our regular desserts. Eda’s team prepares Caesar salad tableside in the Napoli dining room on Friday and Saturday nights.

The exclusive wine tasting held on January 15

was a huge success, and we anticipate more people attending the next event!

Jackie Gonzalez, our Cove Administrator, gathered information about The Cove that benefited our residents. It was so helpful to see the features in writing.

Cruises can offer opportunities to enjoy beautiful beaches and pampering services. The Marbella boasts access to world-class beaches, the arts, and a caring staff. Why not enjoy an excursion and take advantage of the amenities available by living here?

THE MORE YOU KNOW

Art After Hours

Artis—Naples invites the community to enjoy Art After Hours at The Baker Museum on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 9:00 PM; the next event is Wednesday, Feb. 26. With live music performed by local musicians, food and beverages, and free admission to all museum exhibitions, Art After Hours is a fun evening of art and entertainment.

Book Club

The Book Club meets at noon for lunch and discussion. We will discuss Demon of Unrest on Friday, Feb. 21. Please RSVP to Phyllis Sattar, Book Club Facilitator, by calling 860.305.4743 or emailing psattar1@yahoo.com. Each person must also call the dining room to make a lunch reservation.

North Naples' longest-running, largest, pet-friendly farmer's market takes place every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Galleria Shoppes at 2355 Vanderbilt Beach Road Farmer’s Market

Postage Stamps

Please stop by the executive office. We can stamp your mail and charge your account.

When the County issues evacuation orders, residents must take these warnings seriously. Soon, all residents will receive a hurricane evacuation flyer in their mailbox. Each resident must complete and return it to Veronica; this will become your written evacuation plan. Begin talking to others now. Out-of-town friends or family is a good start. Ask if you can come to their area if you need to evacuate. Find the closest airport to them and locate a few nearby hotels. If friends/ family are not an option, a nearby buddy who also needs to evacuate is a good option; this can also be part of your evacuation plan. At this point, time is on your side, and resources are available. This type of advance planning makes it easier later when it is time to evacuate. A plan is in place to move cars from the garage to higher ground, even for those away, so we will need to know how many vehicles you have that need to be moved and their parking spot numbers. More information on that will come in future newsletters. Not having a plan is planning to fail!

Women Making A Difference: 2025 Speaker Series
