A theater practitioner, N aveen established Seagull Books as a response to the growing need for an Indian publishing house for theatre and other arts. A mong the many accolades, recognition and awards, he received 20 21W ords W ithout Borders O ttaway A ward for the Promotion of International Literature in addition to being made a Chevalier de l'ordre des A rts et des Lettres (20 14) by the government of France and received the Goethe M edal from the Federal Republic of Germany (20 13)

Last year his immense book of poems, published by Speaking Tiger, came out and followed by M other M useQ uintet in M arch this year.
