TOP CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES LINE UP FOR PRESTIGIOUS AWARD The Australian Construction Achievement Award, presented by the Australian Constructors Association (ACA) and Engineers Australia, brings together the best construction projects, delivered by the nation’s very best construction companies. Now in its 23rd year, six projects, with a combined value of the projects exceeding $5.6 billion, have been selected as finalists to compete for the 2020 Award.

The project removed nine of the most dangerous and congested level crossings on Melbourne’s busiest rail line. Major elements of the project are the removal of the nine level crossings via three sections of elevated rail, five new elevated stations, upgraded rail infrastructure to support bigger, high capacity trains, and a 22ha linear park with activity nodes created beneath the elevated structures. John Holland was appointed to design and construct the Clarence Correctional Centre. Located 12km southeast of Grafton, the 195-hectare site consists of 65 buildings. The complex features state-of-the-art security and surveillance, and advanced rehabilitation services. The Centre is delivered as a public private partnership, with ownership retained by the NSW Government.
