YARD & WAREHOUSE COVID-19 PREVENTION & PROTOCOLS General Yard & Warehouse Guidelines • The supervisor must administer all check-ins / check-outs at the designated checkpoint prior to workers commencing their tasks. o Temperature and Q&A will be administered daily. o Supervisor to be trained appropriately. o Supervisor to keep a daily log of workers and visitors that have come onto the yard / warehouse. This will allow for tracing applications in the event a further investigation must be made. • All work related premises are contact-free. • Workers must sanitize or wash their hands immediately upon entering (or re-entering) the yard / warehouse. • Machinery that needs to be used by multiple workers must be properly disinfected after every use. • Inform employees that they must: o Maintain social distancing guidelines during work tasks as well as during lunch and onsite meetings. Limit the number of workers congregated at any area. o Utilize disposable plates, cups and utensils provided. o Use a sanitary wipe, paper product, pen or other creative item when touching knobs, levers, and buttons. o Strictly observe hygiene and respiratory etiquette. o Wash their hands frequently using hand soap and water for at least 20 seconds using the “how to wash your hands” guidelines per CDC website. o Utilize sanitizing stations at every opportunity. o Self-monitor for symptoms. o Not share phones, tools, equipment, etc., with others. o Store all personal items (keys, wallet, coat, etc.) in a “personal enclosed area.” o Regularly disinfect their personal belongings. • Yard / Warehouse supervisor must coordinate maintenance and repairs during specified hours outside normal business hours. o Supervisor must be present during that time. o Maintenance / Repair staff must follow the protocol in this manual. o Any required cleanup must be made prior to the next business day. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Supply workers with masks, gloves, suits and any other PPE as required. • Ensure all employees know how to properly use (put on / take off) PPE. • PPE (Eye protection, work gloves and protective mask) must be worn at all times. • Inform workers to request additional supplies if they are running low. • Proper PPE training occurs at the start of every shift. Training is held by the supervisor, who is fully responsible to enforce protocol. • Workers must regularly inspect and maintain their PPE throughout the day. External Visitors • Restrict unnecessary persons from the Yard / Warehouse. • Visitors must be limited to the extent possible.
