COVID-19 PREVENTION How to protect yourself and others (CDC Website)iii

What is COVID-19 and how to protect yourself (WHO)iv Avoid close contact: • Put distance between yourself and other people. • Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread the virus. • Keeping distance from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick. Cover your mouth and nose when around others: • Everyone should wear the appropriate mask when they have to go out in public. • You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. • Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The mask is not a substitute for social distancing. Clean your hands often: • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

When and how to wash your hands (CDC Website)v • Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold) and apply soap. • Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails. • Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. • Rinse your hands well under clean, running water. • Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
